If you wanna hang at the pool, better come with a credit check and Vegas money, baby. I'm surprised they don't charge you for sunlight. I know the days of $200 cabanas that come with admissions are long gone, but this seems unsustainable for Reno.

These share only basic DNA with the Huffy and Schwinn bikes I grew up riding and tricking out. I stopped in because something had come loose. I felt confident I was in good hands. After missing my bike for a few days, I realized I had no receipt or proof that I had handed over my bike. I remembered something about an email receipt but couldn't find one, so I called. Got their automated phone reply that they would call me. No call. Still missing my bike desperately and worrying about no receipt I called again. Same automated reply that they would call me. On day 10, the estimated finish date, I went down to the shop and parked in the loading dock area and tried to get in. Couldn't so I called, surprisingly they answered, and served up a little attitude about a front door. Whatever! A shorter gentleman let me in and said he hadn't called me back yet, as they are closed on Mondays, it was Tuesday, and the earlier call was not returned either. He let me know the parts just came in and it would probably be done that day. No call. I got an automated text that my bike was ready for pick up...after they had closed for the day. I picked up the following day. Same shorter guy with attitude but I did see the nicer original guy. He apparently doesn't have an issue with people coming and going out the loading dock area and allowed me to take my bike that way, unfortunately I wasn't parked back there, due to attitude guy from day before. The guy with polka dot socks is super nice too. Overall a good experience, and my bike has never been so clean... one star reduction for attitude and no call backs.

It was a bit strange today having only one person swimming in the giant pool. It was overcast and rainy, Saturday evening... I guess I was the only one that needed to do laps but, when you're face down in the water, you don't really see anyone else or talk to anyone else. This is my favorite swimming/exercise spot . Can't say enough about it. Don't forget, the membership here also allows you to go to the other Reno area pools. Including Idlewild, north Northwest and Mount Evelyn or Evelyn Mount whatever it is. The building, locker rooms, seating areas, parking lot and outdoor areas look good. This facility gets bonus points for being fully self sustainable with the hot springs and solar. The rates are reasonable with discounts on Wednesday evening and Sunday. RecConnect passes start at $12 per month.

We needed to use the restroom, a guy was sitting directly outside the door minding his own business. I noticed he was smoking out of a crack pipe, he nodded as we walked by, and I gave him a glare and glanced towards my daughter. He nodded back that he understood, and didn't hit it again u til we were walking away. All of them minded their own business, and didn't bother us at all. We acknowledged them, said good morning and kept moving! It was nice to enjoy the area, art, and local wildlife! Great area that felt safe at all times. The surrounding areas were all very clean, the restrooms were also clean and maintained.

Just an update from my first review 10 years ago…read more The walking path between the east end of Riverside Drive and the Booth Street bridge is now open!!!! The pathway is now double the width and does some gentle meandering around the trees. It will be a lot more accessible for people with mobility issues. The new landscaping is beautiful. The banks of the river have been raised and reinforced to decrease flooding damage. And just a reminder- dogs and other pets are still welcome and must be leashed or otherwise contained. Bicycles, scooters, and skateboards are not allowed. This is one of the top places to visit in downtown.
