This place is hella fun! Stayed at GSR as I had heard it's a great vacation for kids and was not disappointed. My boys are 6 and ran to Fun Quest daily. We had a blast at laser tag. They loved all the arcade & video games, especially Minecraft. The ticket redemption counter has a good selection of prizes. The tumble town area is a nice large climbing structure with slides, a bounce house and smaller toddler area. Perfect for little kids. The staff were all really friendly and nice. We ended up with some late nights playing until the arcade closed & resort security were a nice presence in the hallways, always had their eye out for the little kids making sure they had caregivers with them. My boys also enjoyed the GSR pool which is huge with lots of shallow areas on the perimeter. read more

Although we did get lost because signs aren't very clear where to park as the casino is big- I found someone with a badge and they were kind and very helpful on how to get there. It is under construction right now so parking is also hard to come by so we had to park far but they offer valet that I might do next time! We went here for a birthday party and it was one of the best parties we've been to! They offered laser tag, drinks, food and cake, goody bags and arcade games. Each game is a little pricey at about $1.25 to $2.75. They had great games to play. They have bumper cars, jumping castles, VR games, and the claw games. The attendants were nice and helpful. So it's been a while since I've been at some Quest I just went back and they don't have any classic games. They're pretty big arcade Here so you'd think they would have at least Maybe a few pinball machines but nope Peer it's all kitty crap With the exception of Oversized cocktail game It has a few Classics on it. No Street Fighter games, House of the Dead, Tron, Donkey Kong, Etc. There is a mix review for me at Fun Quest in the GSR at Reno . I thought the area was more like a Dave and Buster Vibe but it was ok . I liked the games were sectioned off into themes but the choices on the games and pricing was not worth the visit . It does give children a place to go to while their parents are adulting but they could be doing other activities like the VR room, escape room or Sensology which i would spend my money on rather than the arcade area. read more

Fun Quest is located inside the GSR they offer arcade games ,laser tag , bumper cars , bounces houses and a jungle gym area . We had a lot of fun here playing games and my kids love the bumper cars it was a big hit !! The staff was super friendly they just seem understaff for the bumper cars we had to wait 10 minutes after purchasing our tickets till the laser tag session was over the staff member was running both laser tag and the bumper cars . Unfortunately, the Grand Sierra Fun Center has gone significantly downhill post covid. While management has invested a lot in upgrading the lobby (marketplace and Starbucks) and bowling alley the Fun Center has been suffering. The past few times we visited, we noticed half of the machines are out of order or outdated. Some machines have been removed to make room for new games but there still aren't as many working machines as before and games are costing more. In addition to poor quality of games, the Fun Center is clearly understaffed. The lines at customer service and the prize center are always long. Thankfully we've always had decent customer service when we reload our cards. The combination of one person working the prize center, kids taking forever to decide what they want, and cheap prizes, makes the wait not worth it. Being one of the leading resorts for families, I believe the Fun Center needs a makeover. In addition, it is unfortunate they have closed the go karts and other attractions. We often visit at least 3-4 arcades when we visit Reno and have seen competing arcades bring in newer games and better prizes while still keeping game prices consistent. It will be interesting to see how the Fun Center continues to change with the new stadium being built in the coming years. read more

We actually got a chance to meet Shannon and she was amazing. Very knowledgeable, kind, friendly, you name it she has it dialed in. I like this place a lot. I was there on Christmas Day and it was super fun with all the arcade games and laser tag. It's a place for all ages where you can have fun and your kids can as well. It's located at the GSR so parking is not an issue. read more

GSR has stepped up their game! Pun totally intended. As a dad, when it comes to entertaining a toddler I don't have the same tricks up my sleeve as mom. So I fall back on open spaces where kiddos can tire themselves out with little to no effort on my part! With a 2 year old, arcades are kinda perfect because every game is just like one of their toys at home! Push a button, something lights up, spins or moves, and they're surprised by a fun noise! They don't know they're not actually playing the games, so no money is required either. Fun Quest has an area called Tumbletown, with a big inflatable slide, soft sided obstacle maze with all sorts of climbing and slides, and knowing I had a younger kiddo, I looked into it before going and they mentioned a special area for kids 3 and under. It costs $12 and there's little to no staffing inside, so you're in charge of your kiddo, and I was excited to let my little guy loose in there. He got so excited when he saw the bounce house and big inflatable slide up front, but when I went to let him in to go down it, I noticed you had to climb up using inflatable rock climbing holds to get onto it, so he really couldn't. The 3 and under area was more setup for infants with stacking toys, interactive spinning stuff agains the walls and large soft blocks. A lot of it was pretty tired to be honest. My guy enjoyed the mini carousel even if he needed help getting on and off it. He ended up finding his groove in one area of the larger maze where he could climb up and get on a pretty fast slide. He must've done it 100 times and all I had to do was stand there and encourage him. Totally worth it. read more

We had kids that were 4, 5, 8, and 11 and they all enjoyed themselves. And they all had enough tickets to get a cool prize and leave happy. We always stay at GSR, we love this hotel, super convenient. But I would rather spend money at another arcade place than here. First of all half of these machines aren't working or not open, Minecraft card jammed in machines but no one able to get them fixed. Second, I have swiped twice at one of the machine but it didn't work. So I went to the service desk and let them know and ask for a refund. But one of the boy was surprised and said that the machine has been down for a week and tell me he doesn't know what did I do to get it turned on. Apparently is their mistake to left that machine on not mine. Although I did get my refund by another worker, but this boy making it sounds like I'm trying to scam them for $3. I understand these boys working there seems young but they sure need better customer service training. read more

The only down side about the place is : they don't offer juice for the kids....Not allow to bring outside drink either!! If you have small, medium or not so big kids, this place is a great way to kill some hours! There are actually several areas of action here. There's a climbing structure for small to medium kids - several levels and tons of climbs, drops, slides, tunnels and more can get the energy out of any kid. A small play area across form it is good for toddlers, lots of touchy, bouncy, climby things to do with an adult. There is laser tag for older kids, a bumper car in dark/neon atmosphere, and many arcade games around the area. There are also rooms to reserve for a party. On the other side of the check-in counter lies a large arcade, with games for adults and teens as well as kids - the HALO game is amazing! I'm glad I don't gamble - spent the money on that, and ,much better return! LOL Across the hallway there are other attractions, like ax throwing (!), a 3-D large screen coaster simulator with several scenarios, and a virtual reality experience - so fun to watch from the outside, as there are screens so WE see what THEY see! Cool . . . Most of the activities are reasonably priced, and you can spend at least a couple of hours here without thinking of the time. Good environment, safe and clean,and helpful staff if an issue arises (like that Ice Man (Plants vs. Zombie) game that ran out of water mid-game! Ugh). I Had the worst experience!!! On Monday 9/25/2023 The Assistant Manager of Fun Quest Arrin Carmichael came to the jungle gym area and spoke directly to my 5 year old (while I'm sitting right there ) and told her she was too big to be in the infant area and she needed a wrist band, meanwhile there was 4 other kids bigger than my daughter they also had no wristband ( They're Mother was sitting in the same area as me )she said nothing to them or they Parent. When I asked her why she chose to only speak to my child and kick her out when it's 4 to 5 other kids in this area at that time that also are not following the rules you are only applying to my child. Arrin proceeds to tell me she has other things to handle and will talk to them & they parent when she pleases. I have the whole encounter on video. I will post the video of the other kids in the infant area as she kicked only my 5 year old out. I even told her I would buy a wrist band. We chose to leave the Fun Quest and not spend another dollar there. We even gave out play cards worth $75 to kids after she told us we couldn't get a refund on them. The Assistant Manager told me there is no cooperate office to call nor was there a Manager present for me to speak to. I honestly didn't know a wrist band was needed, not one of the kids playing in the jungle gym area had on wrist bands, and my daughter was the smallest of the kids playing in the infant area, that had no infants at all playing in it. I took this opportunity to teach my kids a life Jewel , you do not spend money where you are not treated the same as others! read more

Visiting for the weekend with the family, my dad had a medical emergency in the hotel lobby and needed to be taken to the hospital. We needed to leave the trip early and the kids had credit on their arcade cards with money they have saved up. When we asked the arcade to cash out the card for us they refused and brought of the "manager" EMMA! Terrible customer service she basically gave us attitude and refused to help. My husband heard lots of good things about the play area located at Grand Sierra so we decided to go check out the hype. Grand Sierra is definitely GRAND. They have a movie theatre, bowling alley, boutiques, Round Table, ice cream shop, candy store and arcade. Fun Quest had arcade games, skee ball, basketball, laser tag, party room, mini golf, bumper cars, a drop zone type ride and couches. I saw some parents sitting while their kids were off playing. I thought the space they have for Fun Quest could've been utilized better. There was plenty of room for more games. I prefer Circus Circus over Fun Quest simply because there's more for the kids to do and experience. read more

I don't know if it's because of COVID - which is why I gave 2 stars but I wasn't super thrilled - neither were the kids (7 & 3) it was crowded, masks weren't enforced and games were limited (many were out of order). This placed has changed so much over the years, trying to keep up with the demands of the new and more tech laden youth is probably a huge task for a "Family Fun Center". So many of the games you used to play at an arcade are beat by the games on our smartphones today. So the intensity and immersion needs to be stepped up. And of course the ticket games. On our last visit we hit up the Laser Tag arena. Warning, the staff is really low key on being involved. So keeping a line is pretty much up to the people who are waiting. We didn't know this until after being cut on by small group of young'ns. Not worth getting pissed about, but it may be worse on a Friday night, so keep it orderly people. My son went through 4 vests before he found one with two unbroken buckles. The first one I put on was fine. My gun seemed to work fine and seemed to score properly as well. I don't know if they have a bunch of broken vests or they just go half capacity to make it less crowded inside but they didn't send in two full teams, just one team shooting each other up. I dunno, maybe they just were saving battery packs for the busier evening. Inside it's pretty well laid out for a good variety of ways to shoot your foes. Pretty good. The $1 a minute is a bit steep when you don't really have a good amount of targets. I could have just sat and picked off little kids the whole time, but there isn't any fun in that, I had to search out the other sedentary people who were sniping the clueless. The place gets pretty hot pretty quick, so don't have any more than one layer on before you enter the staging area, or you will boil in your own juices. They have some lockers up front, but I would rather just leave my crap in the car. The price is pretty even, but they do have some happy hour specials on the laser tag and some other warfare type game. My best suggestion would be to call ahead if $ is tight. You don't wanna get there and find you are a few bucks short. read more

My nephews and I had a blast here. The place is very family oriented offering everything from arcades, table tennis, miniture golf, laser tag, bumper cars, shooting range and couches like at home. Arcade games were kinda pricey. We rather play on our PS3 or Xbox360. We loved the 50 lane bowling alley opened 24 hours a day. For one game is $3.00 or for only $14.75 you get 4 games, a pitcher of beer or soda and a large pepperoni or cheese pizza. Available from noon to 11 pm daily. That was the best deal of all. The shoe rental was $4.00 and socks are $3.00. The staff at the bowling alley were really friendly. We always come back here when we're in town. read more

My kids love it here! They have laser tag, an arcade, an indoor jungle gym and a couple bounce houses. They also have a mini golf course across the hall. It's a little pricey, but fun. It's kind of in an odd place (in the basement of the GSR), but I think they are trying to keep all of the kid's entertainment away from the casino. This place is great for ages 5 and up! I love how it is on the lower level floor (Spa Level) so the parking is on the opposite side of the casino entrance (better parking). Close to Fun Quest (a hop skip and away) is a movie theater, Roundtable Pizza, Johnny Rockets, frozen yogurt, a toy store, candy shop, indoor golf, pool table, laser tag, and bowling hall. It's a great place to take the kids for a few hours. I do not recommend this place for ages five and younger. The bounce land and jungle gym is too advanced for the little ones. I took my 2 year old and she wondered off into the jungle gym maize. I freaked out but luckily another mom noticed and had her daughter grab her for me. There should be little rides for the younger kids. Nothing large but similar too the ones at chuck e cheese. I am not docking points for this. Take your kids who are 5+ and enjoy. read more

Great selection of games that a lot of kids would enjoy, but a bit lacking when it comes to games that kids would not usually play. Games such as Dance Dance Revolution. GSR has two DDR machines, DDR Supernova and DDR X. Some of the problems with Supernova was that the dance pads (or foot buttons) were not functioning properly at all. I had to stomp on the pads to get the buttons to register, which is never a good sign. At that point the game was unplayable. Other than that, the screen was a bit blurry and only the right speaker was working. As for DDR X, I couldn't even play the game since the card reader wasn't even working. At this point, these games should not even be here at all if it is in this condition. With all the money GSR makes, I would think that they would repair these games but sadly not. Was looking forward to playing the only DDR X arcade game in Reno. read more

We just had my daughter's birthday party here yesterday. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because my daughter had so much fun. First off, most of my guests couldn't even find the party room because there were no indications of where it was at, at all. Our host, was no host at all. It took forever for us to receive any of our wrist bands/game cards, so half my guests only had 20 minutes of play time. Our drinks were only refilled once, and that was right before our time in the party room was up. Also, in the description online, it says the guest of honor will receive a special wheel spin. This did not happen at all. I've emailed them and heard nothing back, but as you can tell, I'm not very happy. Hey, at least it was cheap, you sure get what you pay for. read more

This place has always been a blast! The most recent visit, last week 04/11/18, i took my little angel that is almost 2 to play for the first time at fun quest!!! Needless to say our little quest for fun was easily accomplished! We got the little princess her all day pass to tumble village, not sure if that's the name but this place is a wonderland to kids. Our little one if she could have, would have played all day in this town of magical tumbling. There is so much to do though for all ages! There all kinds of games and there are neat virtual rides and bull riding and fun games. One of the most popular activities think is the laser tag, what a rush of adrenaline this game gives you. My daughter has claimed ownership of the "rainbow building", named so because of the colorful lights on the outside of the GSR, and FunQuest is by far her favorite part of it. She loves making friends and playing in Tumble Town which is like a McDonald's PlayPlace on steroids, way bigger and tons more to do. She also loves the skeeball and ticket dispensing games, not to mention watching her Dad pour $20 into one of those crane games just to come up empty-handed! There are 50 high tech lanes, everything computerized and modern! The prices are CHEAP! They did a great job with my son's birthday party and the prices were excellent. My only complaints are: 1: They need to limit the number of people they admit. 2: The party host/hostesses need to have a better system for wrangling the kids. Aside from that, kids of all ages (including quite a few in the man-child category) had a blast playing laser tag and video games. We weren't rushed by the staff and our hostess was very helpful with getting things set up as we wanted the room to appear and packing everything up after our event.
