When u enter hotel lobby, u go up the escalators in front of cafe espresso I think it's called which is next to the front desk. U can get more bang for your buck if u do the birthday package, I think u need minimum 4. There's lots of games, Photo Booth and u can earn tickets and exchange them for prizes. read more

I don't usually give bad reviews, but this place is awful. It looks cool, but don't let it fool you...for 25 tickets the kids get 2.5 Tootsie Rolls. Not the big ones. The tiny ones. Seriously. I dropped over $100 here and my kids got one little stuffy and some tootsie rolls. Sad. I have four very sad kids. (The staff was really nice though.) read more

A fun activity other than gambling in the Peppermill is the arcade. Has a nice mix of new and old games. This is a good place for sticking kids. Good choices. There's mainstream and more obscure. It has direct outside access. Just come in this way to avoid having to go through the casino. This also can give you some privacy. Many of the games cater to younger children. There's also some old school games for those who have like the old stuff. A few older ones include Donkey Kong, Frogger, and Pac Man. There's a lot to check out. Good fun other than gambling. This is a fairly small arcade. There are definitely better options around Reno, but a quick option if you're staying at the Peppermill and aren't playing for tickets/prizes. The reason for the low review is the ticket prizes. You can earn a lot of tickets fairly easily through the various games but especially the claw machines that have tickets to pick up. However the prizes are terrible. It's not worth even playing for tickets at this place. There's nothing that would add extended fun after winning aside from maybe Connect 4 or a skateboard. The tickets never expire they say, but why "invest" in this place if you can't come away with something substantial after a few trips. They did recently update their game offering and added some VR games which are cool, but when you bring the kids they expect to get some prizes. Go to Circus Circus Midway, at least you could get some better prizes like an Xbox, Switch, or some AirPods. There's also a bigger arcade at the mall, but I'm not sure of the prize selection there. read more

So much fun! For the non-gambling adult, kid-at-heart, person that likes old school games, or kid who likes games from the past, this place is for you! Located inside the Peppermill, the Game Lab houses many video game machines from the 80s, 90s, and more. I liked playing the pinball machines although I am not nearly as skilled at them as my Mr. is. With the gamecard, you accumulate points. The Mr. and I managed to earn some fun little souvenirs. The clerks at the prize and service areas were all pleasant. Game Lab is my family's and friends' favorite arcade in the whole area! There is so much for everyone to enjoy: old-school pinball machines, giant versions of favorite arcade games, two-people motion games, air hockey that has an added fun feature, several racing games where you can compete against friends, some Virtual Reality, several games for younger gamers, and even a new photo booth! We have been here many times including two Yelp events (one of which started our love affair!), three parties, two (and soon to be three) events I set up for our homeschool teen group (where we have around 16-20 attend), and just meeting up with friends. Anytime an arcade is brought up in a discussion, it always turns into talking about Game Lab... and usually turns into another visit. They have deals for groups that require a lot smaller group than you expect. The number seems to change, so give them a call when planning. We have often gathered a handful of friends for a couple of hours of fun and got the special deal for parties without the food. Great deal for two hours of unlimited play. You do not even have to go through the smokey areas of the casino. Park in the parking garage and use the elevator to get to the third floor. Walk in and before you get to the main casino, the Game Lab is just on your right. This is definitely one of our favorite things, as well. read more

Discovered this cool place called the Game Lab because of one of the coolest events put on at Peppermill by Yelp's Arcade Armageddon absolutely the coolest time not adulting LOL. My hubby was unable to attend but I got to have a girls night out and had a BLAST!! and promised my hubby we would come back - so off we went for pre-bite to eat/date night and the Gauntlet was thrown down lol Located on the south end of the property, going up the parking ramp (3rd level and you're right there). If inside just at the top of the escalator to the left. It's decent size about 4000sq ft. with a party room and restrooms inside so you don't have to worry about looking outside of the area - extra plus. Typical ticket games for prizes with friendly and courteous staff onsite to help assist kids, adults and families with prizes and loading the game cards - you no longer put $$, coins or tickets in the games it's a card system that's pre-loaded with the amount of money you would like to play and you can keep the card to re-load if you so choose. A few of my favorites are Mario Cart, the Ms PacMan Air hockey game (talk about uncontrollably, tears rolling down cheeks laughing) and Retro Row of course plus LOVE the new games like Transformers and Jurassic Park. Added bonus, it's super easy to laugh uncontrollably on Retro Row, while I'm throwing down the Gauntlet and beating my husband on date night before we grab a bite to eat LOL Happy Yelping Everyone! read more

Yelp and Peppermill treated us to.a few hours of games at Game Lab at the Peppermill arcade. Its an easy place to get to from the parking garage so kids don't have to be paraded through the casino. Nice size party room and rest rooms in the arcade. If you are looking for an interesting venue for a 50th or 60th age birthday party this would be fun. A whole aisle of old school games including Frogger, Qbert, Donkey Kong, PacMan and more. Those games are cheap to play. Great new Pinball machines too. Star Wars was awesome. Game lab is an arcade that only accepts game cards in place of quarter/tokens and also tracks tickets that you win while playing games. The arcade is modernized compared to others I've been to and also includes several classic games like Pac Man and Donkey Kong. The classics still cost a quarter which is nice and the newer more interactive games range in the $2 - $3 range. They have a large selection of newer ticket winning games and also more claw machines than I've ever seen in one place. My kids enjoyed playing some of the non ticketing games but that quickly changed when they realized they would be missing out on the prizes. They have a wide range of prizes for the kids to redeem tickets and both my kids found some fun small stuff to pick up with their hard earned tickets. The facilities are clean including one of the cleanest casino bathrooms I've ever seen. They also host parties and have separate rooms for groups to use. Overall a nice selection of games for all ages and a good place to enjoy time with the kids away from the casino. read more

A quick walk across the street when I'm bored and I'm a kid again Discovered how cool this place and where it was last year when CM Michael set up an Arcade Armageddon there. Absolutely the coolest time to be an adult being a kid. Pinball, shooting games and booze- take that you little children. It pretty big and still has 3-4 pinball machines plus all the new games. It's pretty easy to loose track of time, but what a great way to just be a kid again. It located on the south end of the property like you are going to the parking ramp. Throwback of the 90's! I love this place!! Quarters needed for games but it's a good time

Before you read my review. Understand where I am coming from. I HATE ticket games. So basically half the floor is dead to me. But the other half is pretty cool. Yelp says I have been 2 times and I know it's been more, I just keep forgetting to check in. Anyway. We like to play like the deaf dumb and blind kid. Of course we ain't Tommy, heck the best we can do is get Kiss to play Lick It Up on the Kiss Pinball game. The games here are pretty good. Not too far off balance and not a total quarter suck. Well except for the ACDC game. I don't think I have ever seen a hole between two flippers that big. Played it once....never ever gain. A couple of great classic arcade games. They seem to keep them well tended. But I don't play them enough to know just how often they are down or broken. Played the new Star Wars game. $2.50 probably would be better spent on a ton of crappy ticket games. I had so much hope, only to be dashed by really bad mechanics in the game. But the KING KONG MAMMA JAMMA BEST FREAKING MONEY SPENT!! Is on the insanely wild 4 player Pac Man air hockey. Sure the game is a bit short. But it's crazy satisfying fun. And hey, it's not MY fault you let your hand get hit! Anyway. Game card system seems to work very well. Very little issues at all. As a classic arcade addict from days gone by. We love to bring our kids to Game Lab! Getting there from valet is easy and you bypass most of the casino so your kids aren't walking through the adult sections. The outside of the arcade beckons you to come in as it as cool special effects going on. The inside looks HUGE. It's not that huge (definitely big enough though), but the mirrors all around give it a feeling of more space. You don't feel cramped at all, even during busy times. I would recommend bringing at least $20 per child as you get an extra $5 in play with $20. They have tons of fun, new games as well as the old school ones (where my husband and I tend to gravitate toward). Our kids are always out to win the most tickets and they usually make out like bandits! Cash in your tickets and off to the counter where you can pick your goods. On a screen next to the counter you will see how many tickets you have and with each purchase, how many tickets you have left. It takes the guessing work out of it. If you have some time to kill with your kiddos, or you like a good arcade yourself, check out Game Lab. I bet you'll go back for more! read more

Had a really fun evening with my son. I like the fact that you can use game cards and just swipe and play, and not worry about tokens like in the "olden days". It's fun just to play, let your mind rest and focus on winning or losing games and not really care if you virtually crash into a wall or get blown to pieces. You can get back up and get blown up again! I'm a big believer in balance and virtual games is a nice adjunct to a fully fun and active life! Staff here are very helpful. I very rarely give a good opinion about places where you pay per game to play an arcade machine. They are either kept running with poorly maintained machines with problems or shut off entirely. Not this arcade, all the machines are in tip top shape and a majority of the machines are in proper working order. It is very clean all over the place and is very family friendly to visit, even safe for kids to hang out at while the adults go to adult places throughout the resort. I had a $25 promotional credit that was included in our package so I spent some time playing Worlds biggest Pacman. You can play Galaga from that game too. Had played some pinball too and perhaps a game of Centipede. The retro machines are awesome, I've never seen so many retro games at one time except for a place I go to in the Bay Area. Games are very reasonably priced and I must say much cheaper than some of the arcades I've been to. Everything works, it's just a fun, relaxing gaming experience anyone can enjoy. read more

There are a good variety of games for adults and kids of all ages - some games require skills, other games are mainly about luck, and some games shouldn't be bothered with at all (mainly those claw devices that have so little tension that prizes remain unattainable). Like many arcades nowadays, game cards are used to pay with a quick swipe and to collect tickets that can be redeemed for prizes at the front counter. The major positives about this arcade is that the games are usually in working order, it's clean and spacious, and there are bathrooms conveniently located inside. The downsides to this arcade is that the games are getting expensive ($2.50 for the 4-player air hockey game) and the ticket-redemption prizes require way too many tickets for mediocre prizes. read more

We visited Game Lab as part of the Yelp Arcade Armageddon event! What an amazing event! We were greeted with smiles and so many friendly faces! I mean... Unlimited Arcade Play + No Kids + Food + Beverages galore = A GUARANTEED Good Time! This event was really a cool opportunity to explore the Game Lab without the nagging of my own child[ren] and the noise & chaos of other people's kids... we were able to play games we grew up with, explore newer games and WHAT?!?! THEY HAVE LIFE SIZE CANDY CRUSH! Having the opportunity to explore and experience the arcade at a grown up level only made us start planning a future trip with the child[ren] and maybe even let them bring friends too! The arcade has an incredible variety of games from old school to 2 player and even a few 2+ player! I'm pretty sure there was at least a bazillion (exaggerated) machines to win tickets! They have a great selection of games for all ages and preferences. I think I counted 2 games in the entire arcade that were unavailable to play, as in down for maintenance or broken. In an arcade, that's quite impressive. When I visit other local arcades, it isn't uncommon to see at least 10% of the machines out of commission...usually more. It was nice seeing nearly all machines operating! The food was great! The beverage/bar selection was plentiful and amazing! The facility was clean and a fun inviting environment! You would need to use a game card here, which you load with either cash or debit card. I rated 2 stars for 2 reasons: 1: No bang for your buck. There is 1 game I saw that was $0.50, a couple that were $0.75 and the rest, the majority, were $1.00 to $2.00. When comparing to places like Chuck E Cheese where games are $0.25, this becomes a big negative. 2: The prizes are absolutely horrible. In bulk, I'm sure majority of the smaller prizes cost about $0.01 to $0.10, if that. It's not horrible, but I'd rather spend my money at another arcade. read more

Been here a few times now, figured it was about time to write my two cents worth. I love that this arcade has some of those good ol' classic games: Pacman, Donkey Kong, Paperboy, etc. These take me back to the days when I was a regular video game player with actual quarters. There are some great new games as well. Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones.. these ones are more interactive than just fingers and thumbs, expect surround sound and graphics that I cannot even begin to explain. Those word of caution to those who get motion sickness.. these ones may irritate that, at least for me it does. While some carnival style games do offer tickets for rewards, there are no longer tickets that are printed. It all goes to the "game lab" card. Not sure how reliable this is, but certainly cuts down costs (no tickets to buy, no stuck tickets to fix or restock) Expect that 75% of the games will cost $1.00 or more. Not sure how one obtains VIP status, but for those there is a discount. Only thing I would really like to see is a bar for those of us big kids. Overall, a great time to be had by all. read more

Came here for a private Yelp event. Enjoyed myself. Felt like I was a kid again at the arcades at Coney Island (Brooklyn NY). And also old enough to remember small arcades in Manhattan. I used to use nickels and dimes. My children, quarters. Now you load up a credit card with whatever amount you'd like. Then the kids swipe at each game and earn tickets that they then use for prizes. But also: Ms. Pacman AND Pacman, Frogger, Space Invaders, Double Dragon, Donkey Kong, Burger Time, Galaga, Track & Field, Joust, Centipede....It's pretty much Heaven. (EXCEPT for the GLARING lack of Tron. Please get on that ASAP, Peppermill.) The last time we were here I was KILLING IT at Ms. Pacman, gathering a crowd of little kids who were super impressed with my '80s awesomeness: "I didn't even know this level EXISTED!" ... "She's better than my BROTHER!" And I was like, "OMIGAWD! You guys! You're TOTALLY embarrassing me!" Then my Kid wanted me to teach her Frogger, and it took quite a few quarters to get her around the learning curve, but it wasn't a big deal SINCE THEY STILL COST A QUARTER (totally rad!). When I was her age, nothing made me happier than my dad giving me a fat roll of quarters and sending me into the arcade. Now I can do the same for my kid, but, y'know, with a card. As a parent, I like this arcade much better than the one at the Atlantis. It is much better lit and more open. Its layout is designed with a safer layout for children/preteens, in my opinion. It has WAY more games that all seem to be kept in nice order. The variety of games is great too: vintage games for me and newer ones for the kiddos. The ticket prize area is much better laid out with a wider variety of prizes too. Really no comparison. read more

I loved the variety of different arcade games I have not seen in other arcades. I did. It like the limited to nothing in the smaller prizes. Many of the choices were out or only had 1 item left.
