You know how in certain video games there's an "Easter egg" that's hard to find! This is Reno's "Easter egg" for the young at heart crowds or anyone that's into nostalgic games and video games! This is one of my favorites for arcade bars! I've been going here and make great memories since their first location I believe they opened in 2017. I've been to a lot of different arcade bars across California and this one's my favorite! The vibes now are even better than before the whole setups just pure fun!! The best adult arcade I've been to in a long time! Drinks are strong, games are epic, pinball always fun, and you leave with not that bad of a dent in your wallet! These guys crush it I noticed they are constantly changing out the pinball games and other video arcade games. Couches to chill on by the bar with mario kart built into the coffee tables and pool table not far away! There's old and new games all over the place hard to stay bored here! Also love the staff here always friendly and welcoming they also crush it here super hard to keep up a place like this so tell your friends and support these guys and don't forget to tip the wonderful staff!! We LOVED this place! What a great place where kids can enjoy AND adults! I love how they have a separate 21 + area but it's so accessible to the game area! We all had so much fun playing games and having some drinks! The games are also reasonably prices so it's not a total rip off like a lot of other places! I celebrated my birthday here this past August, and later had the chance to return for the Reno Yelp Elite event, and both experiences were nothing short of amazing. Okay, this place is pretty cool, especially if you are from the 70's and 80's like myself. Lots of pretty cool pinball machines with no hiccups! Lot of old school video games that only cost quarters? Really cool full bar and some really cool signature drinks. The Randy Savage cocktail was pretty tasty bit the whiskey sour I ordered was made to perfection! Press Start is easily the best pinball arcade in Reno. If you love pinball, this arcade has the best maintained and biggest unique collection of machines that get changed out regularly and always work great. There is also a myriad of old classic arcade games, booths with free NES, Super Nintendo, and Genesis console games as well as your typical air hockey, rod hockey, and basketball shootout. They have an awesome bar with beer happy hours and video games inspired cocktails and are also neighbored with Cluckers with a takeout window built in the entrance if you're hungry. Overall it is a small good old fashioned arcade without ticket games or prizes and great vibes. Only thing I wish is that they were still quarter operated as they recently switched to tokens, but I understand the need for them in this day and age. read more

Neat little spot in Midtown to geek out on some arcade games! Not terribly expensive to play games, drink prices are about what you'd expect to pay for midtown, maybe a bit on the low side. Staff were friendly and the bar service was decent. Looked like they may have had a pool tournament going on the night we were there. They only have 1 pool table and it was 'very' occupied. They have a good variety of games and a solid amount of pinball which I enjoyed. We will be back! read more

First time here was great! Very straight forward, use quarters to play the game. $3 fee to use atm, but can always get change from the chicken place nearby. Great selection of new and retro games! Pinball was my favorite and the chicken place nearby was great/ affordable for the big portions, with a few tables located in the arcade and bar. Will go back! read more

If you're into classic arcade games and want to grab at the same time, Press Start is the place for you! You can literally get lost in the sea of games! It seems like they have it all! Hearing all the games makes you feel like you're stepping back in time. Love the atmosphere it offers. The bartenders and owner offer amazing customer service and are easy to talk to. They have a good beer selection and know how to make a good cocktail. Lastly, we had a company event here and the Press Start team made our event full of excitement. Cool hangout spot to have a good time at a relatively cheap price. There were a lot of game options, from pin ball to air hockey to Pac-Man. I like that there were a lot of options for 2-4 player games to get everyone involved! Can't comment on the staff because I don't think I interacted with or saw a single staff member the whole time we were there (to be fair, we didn't visit the bar room and stayed only in the arcade room). I don't have the traditional gamer perspective, but I think it would be cool if they had other games from child arcades. I'm thinking spider stomp, the jackpot light game, the jump rope game, etc. Those can bring out the little kid in you! Either way, it was a fun time! read more

Came here one Saturday late morning while on a midtown crawl so thankfully the place was pretty dead. The atmosphere is typical small bar feel- dark, dingy, loud, and so much fun! I didn't go into the bar section, but when I had trouble operating a game, a helpful employee showed me how it was done. Other than that, I didn't see any staff, which is fine. Right when you walked in there was Michael T and the owner John with a great big smile very nice to see them right there. The place was full of fun games to play. Walk through another room and there was the bar and a pool table.. Went to the bar, ordered a spiced Apple drink very tasty. I decided to go get my food right away next door at cluckers. What a fun place! I haven't been to an arcade or played a stand up coin-op video game in at least 20 years and here we have an old school arcade with a twist. There's a bar!!!!! Although I abstained from drinking, I did make a note to come back in the future For an hour or two I was transported back to my childhood in the 80s and played a lot of the same games that I played back then like Donkey Kong, Frogger, Joust, Sinistar, Defender, etc. I even got my initials on a few of them! Living in NV, I often laugh at the image of senior citizens pumping money into slot machines but I could easily do the same with coin-op video games. You might laugh and say. "At least they have a chance at a payout" Ah. But my payout was much netter I came home in an almost euphoric state. Video games like these simply make me happy. It probably reminds me of being 10 years old spending my paper route money on asteroids and pinball I'm glad I found this place through Yelp. I will return! This spot is the bomb. It has lots of arcade games, basketball, pool, ice hockey and my favorite, pin balls. Nice bar with seating area and lounge. The parking was a bit hard but it was worth it once inside. It is bigger than it looks from the outside. The games were fun and lots of variety. And if hungry you can get food next door. It makes it a one stop spot. Some of the old games were my favorite. You don't find those much anymore. Since it is in Midtown, you can walk to other places if you need to. This place is amazing!! I can't believe how long it took me to get there. Too long! Go now! My sister was visiting and we needed a place to play air hockey that wasn't super overwhelming like the casinos. Yelp steered us here and boy am I glad! In addition to air hockey, they have SO MANY awesome games (i was very excited about the old school games the most). The change machine worked, the music was good, and my only complaint was that it was super hot in there- maybe to sell more drinks?
