I came for recent show to see Save Ferris. I love that there are small clubs still bringing in bands that us older peeps want to see live. The bar had a decent selection of drinks and was average for this type of spot. The issue I have is the audio quality of the venue. It is poor. There are two flown speakers on either side of the stage, they are directed to the rear of the room. There is nothing to cover the front of the audience. I was up on the railing for the show and I could not hear any vocals from the band. There are wedge monitors directed at the band, but no front fills for the audience. I had a good time, but the audio quaility needs to be improved. read more

This place is more than what's meets the eye. I came here for a Caribbean theme music. From the front I was expecting it to be small like the other bars I have been to in the area. It is pretty big on the inside. There is a open floor for dancing and the stage is way in the back. I enjoyed the art work along the wall. And they have a bar too. I'm not big on the club scenes but I would say this is a good place for dancing because it has so much space. They only take cash on their cover charge and they do have access to an ATM. There is only street parking that I myself could find. The only think I didn't like was the MJ groups. But overall I enjoyed the experience. If your looking for somewhere to dance that actually has space to move I would recommend this place for sure. read more

Great venue for listening to live music or EDM, the stage is pretty big and I would say the acoustics are decent. There isn't much seating for when the place gets busy, but you trade that off for a good sized dance floor. Seen a band here around Halloween. Sorry to say I cannot remember the name as I had a few of their pricey drinks by that time but they put on a good show and I look forward to checking it out again. read more

A friend of mine used their coat check and when she went to get her coat back it was gone. This is probably due to the employees lack of care for the coats they check. I recall using their coat check and when I went to get my coat the person who should've handed me my coat just said to go back and grab it. So someone probably stole my friends coat. She contacted Bluebird about this and they just read her message and haven't replied. In my opinion, she should've been reimbursed for her expensive coat that was stolen. The next worst part about this place is they don't open until 9 and when you try calling to get ahold of someone, you can't get anyone to pick up the phone. Poor customer service in my opinion. It's fun when you're there, but if you lose anything or need to get ahold of them good luck. read more

The booming bass from their Funktion one sound system will get u on your feet, their yummy cocktails will get u feeling good and the awesome staff will take good care of you! Love the redo of this club. Awesome vibe, cool art, nice set up, this space is great for djs, live musicians and performers alike. Eventually the back room will be finished and there will be two dj areas. When Bluebird opened, I had heard it was mostly bass heavy music and trap. Eventually they started mixing in house and techno artists as well and it prompted me to check it out and it is now one of my favorite venues in reno. I love when the aerialists are performing over the bar. The coat check is an added bonus... I wish I had used it at Yuris night because someone walked off with our fur coats. read more

Bluebird often hosts some of the most fun nights! They recently put on a burning man "decompression" which was such a blast! There were art cars, djs, and a silent disco outside! The only issues I had were at the bar. The bartender continually ignored the guys in our group, so much so that every time a girl came up to the bar, our friends were passed up so the girls could get a drink. I know it's like this at most places, but we waited 15 minutes for a drink because of it and several times new girls would get their drinks ordered before we did. The bathrooms aren't too bad, but they could definitely use a restock more often as I went pee and there was no TP! Despite these small things, bluebird never fails to supply a good time, with affordable drinks, and great fun! I recommend stopping by for an event and be ready to dance! read more

I feel bad writing this since I know someone who personally works here! But we came in and my friends ordered two modelos, in which were both served extremely dark lagers. They didn't drink them, none of the bartenders would replace the beer, and the owner told us we were "wrong" and if we want another beer to pay for it. We know what modelos taste like, lol. Just trying to have a nice time and a bummer to pay $40 for my friends to enter and 60$ to buy all of us drinks and have half of them not drink them. Very disappointed. Of all the venues we currently have in Reno, The Bluebird is the only one I never hesitate about attending. It's a fairly large and open space and even when there's the max capacity of people it doesn't feel too crowded. The bar is huge so it's usually fairly easy to grab a drink and they always have 4-5 bartenders on staff to expedite the process. They pour strong drinks at fair prices, with a large selection of options. The sound quality is definitely better than a lot of other venues in town as well. The bathrooms are easily accessible and always stocked and reasonably clean throughout shows. And of course, the coat check is a must for our bipolar Reno weather. I have no complaints about this venue. I've never had anything other than good experiences here with their staff and the quality of shows they provide! read more

I always have so much fun at the Bluebird! It's a spacious venue, serves great drinks, has live artists painting during shows, great lights and lasers! There's usually a really fun crowd, people that aren't judge mental and just wanna have fun together! Even if the music isn't your style in particular, I can guarantee you'll have a GREAT time. There's usually a $15-30 entrance fee, but it's worth it for the night you'll have. Follow their social media to keep up with the shows and parties! read more

We did an anniversary party here, and the staff went absolutely above and beyond to make it exceptional. I was just the decorator, but I got to see first hand the hours and sweat the BlueBird team put in to the event. Could not have appreciated the help more (hanging up balloons, working with us on decor, lending us staff to help, offering a custom cocktail, changing lighting throughout the night, ...seriously great work!) So grateful this venue opened in Reno! It is our absolute favorite place for music and dancing. The sound system is killer and they have great light shows too. It's always a different line up of dj's so depending on the evening it might be different styles and energies. We've been to several of their bigger events which had two different rooms of music, fabulous dancers & aerial performers and great, positive crowds. Besides the great music, the bartenders and security staff are really friendly and professional, and the bathrooms are always super clean and well stocked. And they are open til sunrise! This place is amazing! I have seen some incredible music here (that sounds amazing on the funktion1 sound system. I've been fortunate enough to play the bird I can't speak highly enough about their treatment of artists as well as customers. They truly are doing it right. The space is clean, the bathrooms are immaculate. The club is huge and even when it is packed there is plenty of room for everyone. Great drink prices. I could go on and on. Was lucky enough to perform at this venue tonight. From a musicians standpoint it is always awesome to have friendly club staff, a great green room area, and an amazing sound system. In all my travels few teams have treated me as well as RV, Preston, and the rest of the Blue Bird staff. Apart from an impressive bar selection, excellent bartenders, and overall friendly vibe, the crowd was probably the most memorable thing about this club. People come here to dance and truly hear music. Such a nice change of pace from the usual nightlife scene. read more

This place is a trashy night club. Small front floor and an oddly placed bar. I've been here for multiple shows and they always seem to oversell their tickets. Currently I am standing in line of their 3rd oversold show, unable to attend the concert inside. I paid $35 to see a particular DJ and now I'm wasting away 3 hours in line because they are over capacity. They offer no refunds when they oversell their shows. Keep in mind this has now happened to me 3 times. This is a night club in Reno Nevada, not LA, not Vegas....... Reno. It pretends to be boujee however we all know Reno Nevada is a terrible place for club life. The bouncers have their panties in a bunch. We all know they are paid minimum wage yet they act as though their sh*t doesn't stink. The bouncers tell you they will let you bypass the line if you tip them nicely. Drinks are of course overpriced, however that is the price you pay for living the night life. One more note, the security is just a bunch of old, fat, out of shape men that cannot uphold authority to save their lives. read more

I fell in love with this place on new years eve. It was an awesome night with great performances by many local artists. First of all that Funktion-one system sounds amazing, best sound quality in Reno! Next, the bartenders are all very friendly and I never waited more than 3-5 minutes for a drink. Which were very reasonably priced! The atmosphere of the Bluebird ties it all together,. They're usually playing bass music and house sometimes.
