    KRS-One on a foggy stage
    Johnathan H.

I think it was just an off night. The sounds was pretty bad for most of the night, to the point KRS-One starting freestyling about it. Also, it was sweltering in there. One lady dropped before the opening acts even got started. That can't be the norm. I want to give the venue another chance and probably will, but those seemed like easily avoidable mistakes.

I'm confused, found this flyer on my car yesterday, looked up 'the apline' which is showing up closed?

Alpine is a music venue attached to Record street brewing. This is a new music venue. It has a full bar and can make simple cocktails and beer. I would recommend sticking to more basic cocktails, like gin and tonics or rum and Coke's, no fancy margaritas or manhattans here. I ordered a margarita and the bartender was able to make one, however it just tasted like orange juice with tequila mixed in. Stick to the classic/simple cocktails here. The beer selection is great and local! It's brewed inside of Record street. Record street makes pizza and some other food options, but you cannot bring them into the Alpine venue. If you are hungry, you can pop over to enjoy your food, be for returning to alpine. The acoustics in the venue are amazing! We just hear a local band play the other day. I would recommend sitting at the bar, while watching a show. Not only would you have a great view of the stage, but you can easily order your drinks. You can rent out parts of the venue for private events. Not sure if you can rent out the entire space. I would recommend calling and speaking to the manager. There is no parking lot. Parking is in fourth street. It can be difficult to find a spot in weekends, so I would recommend arriving early or taking an Uber/Lyft. There is a large area in front of the stage for dancing. Hopefully we will be able to dance soon! I highly recommend coming in to watch a show. Alpine usually posts about upcoming shows on their Instagram account. Follow them and get all the latest info.

    A sucker for cat pillows.

Really great to see a bar like this in Reno. Great venue for small bands. Decent bar. Tough parking but take UBER and don't worry

At the back was the kitchen where Reno Recipes prepared the meal. Outback is an amazing fully pavered yard with comfy seating and overhead lighting. Pictures inside show the area set up for outdoor dining. Now that would be a fabulous space for eating al fresca. The space seems great for small to medium sized events. Close to the Truckee River, tucked in a little pocket of Reno by Mayberry Park, we couldn't have asked for a spot that felt as private and serene. We wanted our day to feel like a slightly fancy-outdoorsy family reunion and knew this spot would be perfect when we visited it in the spring. By the fall, the greenery around the venue had filled in, making the area (and all our photos) extra beautiful. The available space can be set up in many different layouts. The ceremony area easily fit our guest list of 40, with room to spare. Then, it doubled as an area for games and later a bit of casual dancing by just moving a few chairs. We loved having a few different but connected areas for guests to spend time together. The owners were so helpful explaining everything about the venue. Many thanks to both for sharing such a wonderful space that is clearly cared for and kept with much love.

We were in the area and saw the big black widow spider and thought what a large Halloween store. But we were pleasantly mistaken - What used to be a bowling alley has now been repurposed into an absolute wonderland of an experience. It's a full blown kid friendly adult friendly haunted warehouse. My 4 year old son had an absolute blast, it starts of with a bit of trick or treating as your making your way through the adventure, then turns into a full on experience as each and every room has a theme from Jurassic park, aliens, robots, clowns, skeletons, a mirror room that I conveniently banged my head into, all the way to the super psychedelic tunnel. Which leads you to the Macabre mansion - for adults and children too. THEY ARE EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING- asking how scary you'd like the experience to be. Seeing as my Little guy is 4 we asked for no jump scares. And made it through enjoying every bit of the way. My little guy hugged the zombie, high fives leather face and complimented his chainsaw, noting it looked like it could use some oil, but the blood would do. We had an absolute blast. They are doing a Christmas themed experience as well. The owner has a dream, retired and sunk all of her savings into an experience we can all appreciate. I hope to see them sound for many many more years to come. Do yourself a favor and check them out! You won't be disappointed.

There is an indoor space and an outdoor space as well as a covered area which sort of combines both. My friend's wedding utilized all of them briefly. I liked all the small touches like signs and decor and I appreciated that they had some sun umbrellas, unfortunately they all had holes in them. We were looking forward to using the photo booth as well but it was not working. There was a miscommunication by the staff and it caused the wedding to begin much later than planned but they allowed my friend more time at the venue because the mistake was theirs so it all worked out in the end. If you are looking at using this venue, I tried to include as many base photos as possible so you can get a good idea of what you will be working with. I would recommend it for smaller, more casual weddings only. There is limited parking and there are only one or two staff members at most so you and your wedding party will be responsible for a lot of what needs doing. If you are on a budget, this could be a great option, but bear in mind you will have to use their designated caterer for any food. Also, if the lavender blooming is important to you, be sure to check that you are scheduling your event for the right time of the year. Overall my friend was happy with her wedding here and I hope all of you who choose this location will be too! Hope this helps : )
