A view of the river.

The staff here is very kind. I left an item and Kelsey and Sarah were very helpful in getting me my item. Also, the hotel is very clean, quiet, and in a great location. You are just steps away from the action! My husband and I will be back soon!

Great location, walking distance to bars/restaurants/casinos, ballpark is a stone throw away, among other things. Kaiser was a great pleasure to see upon arrival with his professionalism and smile. Too bad he was on there for a short while, but I'm sure his home location is proud to have him as an employee. I don't recall receiving a welcome amenity upon arrival as a Bonvoy member, but no worries. The room was big, clean, spacious, and hotel staff followed my requests with extra pillows and towels. Since I was there for work my Bistro visits were delightful every time I wanted food or drinks. They also serve happy hour and since the services were limited because of the pandemic, I absolutely had no complaints on the items I ordered. For breakfast the breakfast burrito was filling; eggs, bacon, home fries, and wheat toast is always great way to start the day. In the evening the caesar salad with tomatoes added were good! Major shout out to Petra and Mericio for all of their help. They truly were a highlight to my day whenever I walked through the lobby in passing or when I was going for a happy hour drink, just to sit and chat (when they were not busy), or for a quick bite to eat. For avid coffee drinkers .... hurry up and get the coffee machines working! The pool could look more inviting. The marketplace could offer better options. Can't say that I will be in Reno again but if so this will be a comfortable place for me to stay!

Staff Friendliness 2 Room 4- something near the bed smelled like sweat... I am a Marriott Gold Member so I try to be loyal, but sometimes it is hard. Great water pressure. My room looked into the courtyard area. Very quiet, but kinda weird.

Check in was smooth and every employee was very friendly, especially the young guy who works at night. The room was clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. We brought our own pillows and I am glad we did because the hotel pillows were very thick. There are only two EV chargers in the parking garage on the 3rd floor, one J1772 and one Tesla destination charger which is 48A. We were fortunate to find the Tesla charger unoccupied the night we arrived as our car was at 23%, however the other two nights the charger was taken. We were able to charge during the day for a few hours so we made it back home without needing to supercharge. My advice for Tesla owners would be to bring your J1772 adapter in case you need to use the non-Tesla charger. We tried to order food from the restaurant using the QR code in the room but it refused to take our order because it was 15 minutes until closing. It is inconvenient to have the parking garage separate from the hotel. I read that during baseball games (this hotel is right across the street from the stadium) that the parking garage is nuts. Really my only complaint is the poor insulation that caused us to be woken up very early by loud footsteps from the room above us. Oh, and the price at $250/night with a promo code we got from Jam On It (basketball tournament we attended) was kind of high. With parking and taxes it was nearly $900 for 3 nights. I'd be okay paying that for a 4 star hotel but it's really pushing it for a 3.

Lots of flies near the river but otherwise decent hotel. Gets crowded during the games.

Ask the Community - Courtyard Reno Downtown/Riverfront

Did they remove the pool/hot tub?

Is this hotel good for kids & is it close to any areas that they can tube and play in the snow? My kids are 6,8 &15.

I don't believe so. Your best bet is to call the hotel directly and ask them. They will be able to tell you. They have a pool... Good luck!

This place is so cool and not cool at the same time…read more.. Here's the bad stuff... 1. Super construction going on and the parking lots are a mess, you don't know to go right or left and I got lost finding entrances even after 3 days.really dirty too. 2. The dirt doesn't stop there. Our first room we were given was so smokey I mean burning eyes smokey. There was a box fan sitting outside the room so I think they tried to air it out but it was like someone burned a cigar in there and just closed the door. 3. After going thru a room swap we were given another room. Fine but there was a dirty rag left in the bathroom counter with hairs all over it. Not a huge deal but still, come on right? 4. The late check out. Went to the front desk night before to make sure late check out was ok since we were at an event that morning. No problem they said you got until 4 with an additional fee. Great right? Nope since our room was a room that was attached to a suite they needed us out before that. Just come on again! 5. The service is just rude everywhere. I mean everyone you encounter! The Rim restaurant guy host in a suit..., I'm convinced was high as a kite. Don't believe me, go there and talk to him, holy! The security desk, rude and unhelpful. Anyone you call on the phone from the room, rude. I'm not expecting Disney customer service, but come on man! Someone teach these guys some customer service skills. So the good.... The resort is really cool. Bowling video games, nice casino, everything to spend a fun weekend. We may even come back just to do the pool and stuff to do there. To wrap it up... Lower your expectations. Your not going to get the cleanest room. Most certainly you will be treated rudely. It's a place that could be so epic but falls short due to just taking short cuts in the customer service, organization and just plain care about your whole experience factor. P.S. you will receive at least 5 text messages telling you about how great their spa is.

Then doing $1.25 bets on 5c denom got a fire orb hold n spin bonus and only got $17, Thats unusually low for that bet and possibly another record low, thats what you should be getting doing $0.25 or penny bets. I can't speak to the rooms on the lower price range, but what I got, was absolutely amazing…read more I was here on Cinco de Mayo, but because it was a Tuesday, the rates were very reasonable. I have "status", so I was offered an upgrade to a spa suite, for a very reasonable price. The price range, of course depends on what day of the week it is, as well if there are any events going on, but even at full price, that spa suite is well worth the splurge. I was checked in by Claudia, and she was very friendly and helpful. My room was in the tower that is connected to the main casino. I was on the fifth floor. The view during the daytime wasn't much, but at night time and sunrise, it was very pretty. I walked into the room, and I couldn't believe it! I had actually gotten a two room suite it was a beautiful suite. The living room had 2 very comfortable couches. One of them had a hide-a- bed in it, or you could just sleep across the couch. it had a mini bar that had a Keurig on it, there were two TVs, with a good picture and lots of channels, as well as the movies for rent, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, and there were also two bathrooms. The bathroom attached to the living room does not have a tub or shower. There was also a huge closet. There was a fridge, but no microwave. The bed was a bit firm for my personal taste, but I still got an OK nights sleep. I do realize that everybody's taste is different. I had to laugh when I saw the Jacuzzi tub. It was heart shaped. That tells me that this "spa suite" doubles as the honeymoon/romantic getaway suite. The Jacuzzi tub was amazing! It filled up quick, and it was so absolutely relaxing. My body was just melting away. I sat in that thing for almost a half hour, and when I got out, I went to sleep very quick. My only regret, is that I didn't have a special someone to share it with. (for those of you who have met me, I apologize for putting that image into your brain. Please, I beg of you, let it go... LET IT GO...... :) Circus Circus is a nice property, like the El Dorado and Silver Legacy, it is a Caesars property. The casino is nice, they have a midway with lots of fun games for the kids, and also live circus acts. There is plenty to do. You can walk between all three properties without ever going outside, and there is plenty of gaming, bars with different themes, and lots of restaurants throughout all three properties ...The food court is just OK. I didn't care for the habit burger place, but I thought that the pizza place was amazing. (see separate reviews.) Just a great stay. Thanks!

After our stay, my overall opinion on the casino really didn't change…read more As far as actually navigating the casino, it didn't improve from my initial experience. The elevators are still tucked away and very hidden and every single pair of escalators we found had one side broken so you had to just wander around until you found an elevator or a working escalator. There were also random 1 way escalators scattered about which was off The actual elevators in the main lobby were a nightmare. No matter if there were a lot of people or nobody, they would take forever to come down (and I believe one was broken). There was a time in particular there were 20-30 people all waiting around for the elevator. I asked an employee where the stairs were (since I was on the second floor). It took two employees to even figure out if there were stairs, and then I had to wait around for security (who never came) in order to go up them. The room, while decently clean and modern, was missing hand soap, and the AC rattled extremely loud when the compressor would turn on. I finally figured out I could jam a pillow in between the bed and AC to keep it quiet. Throughout the stay, the front desk people were very unhelpful, either not knowing anything, or just saying "yeah I can't help, go ask the bell hop". The only saving grace was the midway, which while expensive, was a nice little break for people like us with little kids.

A little awkward for non-couples staying at the suite; only because the beautiful bath tub is displayed next to the window with no cover from the room, and sauna/shower is separated by glass; and completely visible to anyone in the room. To get privacy, need to close the entire large room to shower or bathe. Otherwise; it's a beautiful place; a bit "outdated" but still luxurious. Amenities include, bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, shower cap, facial soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, tissue, toilet paper (haha; a must!), ice maker, water, fridge, bottle opener, a variety of drinks and snacks in the fridge for a $$$ price, coffee maker with coffee pods. The curtains in the bedroom/ bathtub area has a switch that closes the curtains; it's a nice luxurious touch; too bad the switch is across the room...the bathtub fills quickly and they have a "shower gel" there that can be turned into bubbles as you fill the bath. The temperature of the room was comfortable. Clean and well maintained, apart from some bits of less than luxurious touch up paint jobs here and there. The view is lovely in the daytime and night. I can see the snowy Nevada mountains from the bath in the day. And it's pretty neon lights and watching the cars dance through the lot looking for parking at night. The entire hotel is connected to restaurants and the casino. The even center is just about a two block walk away. I had a lovely time here. Just don't like the casinos and smoking. But it didn't affect my stay in the suite. I can't understand why this hotel doesn't have any reviews or has terrible reviews. My guess would be, the majority of the guests here are here to patron the casinos, and would not pay attention to the stay of this hotel.
