came here Saturday night with my cousins. put 50 on a game card and man it took forever to use all those funds. i would say 60% of the games were not working or were off due to covid. some machines take a couple of swipes to work. this arcade is pretty much cater to kids 7 and under. my 8 year old didn't really like the games here he prefers circus circus and I can agree with him. its more nicer and bigger that's why. read more

I come to the Peppermill often to Oceania for the Sushi. I attended my first Yelp event at the Game Lab and had a blast. It was very well organized. The only thing that was bad for the regular yelpers we got stuck with the left over food which was cold. But over all a great event. Thank you As far as the Game Lab, the prices were average from what I have seen around town. Good place to allow the kids to blow off steam while the parents do some gambling. This is a nice arcade. It's a non-smoking area of the casino, which is great, and it's stocked with a variety of games, including a decent retro cabinet selection and several pinball machines. It seems like the people who were seriously into collecting points were doing pretty well for themselves. It's worth noting that although you can bring alcohol in, the bar is somewhat distant, but the package deals are quality and I think I might host a social night here in the future. read more

My first experience here was at a Yelp event. We loved it so much we came back over my birthday weekend. All adults turned loose in what I believe is the best arcade in all of Reno. Unlike other arcades you can actually bring a cocktail in here which is super important to me :) Besides having all the typical stuff you expect to find in an arcade, you know all the games to play to earn tickets, or a dancing game, or a basketball game, it has all the latest and greatest games that the kids love. They have a Pac Man version of air hockey that is AWESOME! Most importantly, they have all the classic games adults love. I'm talking Joust, Centipede, Spy Hunter, Galaga, and many many more! Gone are the days of stacking quarters to play, all your funds are conveniently loaded onto a card which also lets you track your tickets etc. I guess you can bring your kids here, but we love it as adults! read more

My boyfriend and I are from NJ, and there aren't a lot of arcades for adults in our area. He and I really enjoyed coming to this place because of the differences in the available games. I also liked how you could have an arcade card instead of carrying tokens and tickets. Our favourite game was the chicken crossing game, but it was super fun to play the co-op Pac-Man game (it'll say Galaga if I recall). They also had classic games to play, which was a nice addition. If you aren't familiar to the area, just know that the game lab is going to be on the second floor of the building and going through the casinos. Would come again. If you want a quiet time, you can go in the afternoons instead of the evenings. read more

We went here because we have had a $25 dollar resort credit to play at the arcade. The games can be very pricey ranging from 0.25 to $2.50. The 0.25 cent ones were welled priced as they were classics. Some worked, some did not have sound some controllers were funky, but it is the good old classics which were okay and I spent 5 minutes per game. The premium games like driving, shooting ones were all in the $1.00 to $1.25 range and only lasted us 3 minutes per game. The most expensive is the star wars. It does get very crowded here. I did not play any of the ticket games though as they do have half of them dedicated to it. It does get crowded at night time so just go when they open and you will be mine. read more

Found this place when my daughter was playing in the Far Westerns Volleyball Qualifier at the convention center. We got tired of the uninspired play and coaching and had to bail, so my son and I figured we'd check this place out. After a few games of dig dug, I went old school and hit up the Metallica and AC DC machines and let my crazy flipper fingers get some exercise. My son, a savage at the claw machines, scored a stuffed hedgehog or something but mostly just blew my money on those slippery claws. Then he put his gambling skills to work and won a bizillion tickets on the wheel of fortune game and could have cashed them in for 3 lava lamps but decided to keep them and cash them in next time after he wins a bizillion more. I'm not into the ticket games but there are plenty of other games to hold even my attention, which isn't easy..... I was fortunate enough to attend a fantastic Yelp! event at Game Lab recently and was BLOWN AWAY by the sheer magnitude of games available, especially the quintessential games I grew up playing! There is an entire wall of "all originals" including QBert, Paperboy, BurgerTime, Frogger, and of course the classics from Space Invaders to PacMan to Asteroids, Galaga, Track & Field, and more! Of course, they have all the latest and greatest fully interactive machines and even a full size Candy Crush! There are plenty of skill games, too, where you can win and collect tickets to exchange for a ton of fun prizes. This isn't just for kids, either. The event I attended was for adults, and this is a terrific venue for organizations to hold special events, teambuilding meetings, parties, etc. The Peppermill is the best for food and beverage and they will happily provide either or both for your event. read more

This is a nice, clean and bright arcade located in the Peppermill casino. All the games operate using pre-loaded cards. There are 2 kiosk by the entrance where you can get a game card or reload game cards you already have (if you've been before). Those cards had their pros and cons to it. Pros were that the kids no longer had to carry buckets of quarters to play the games like I used to when I was younger, the cards were easy to load via the kiosks, and the cards recorded the # of tickets earned at each ticket game played - one less thing to carry. Cons, however, was the card could easily get lost - my daughter left her card on a game several times when we were there (luckily we were able to retrieve it before someone else picked it up). Another thing about the card is that the kids didn't realize they swiped their card on a game more than once and ended up wasting money on one game due to over-swiping. The games seemed a little overpriced too, my girls went through $80 worth of credits in about 1/2 hour. Yikes! I noticed there was only one arcade attendant on duty, luckily it was a weeknight so the line to redeem tickets was tolerable and we didn't have any issues with game malfunctions. Their prize area was typical of other arcades, I was a little disappointed though when the attendant told me I couldn't pay for the difference to get the kids a bigger prize. The attendant was nice enough to round up my daughter's tickets though so that both she and her sister could get a prize equal in ticket value. I had mixed feelings about this arcade...it was nice and clean, it seemed like a safe place - although I wouldn't leave my kids alone here, but the games seemed overpriced and there wasn't enough variety of games my girls liked...so not sure I would bring the kids here again. read more

Such a fun arcade. This is our families go to so far. They have some great old school games, seem to keep updating the new cool stuff. Also the ticket games are a blast. Us adults have just as much fun as my 3 1/2 year old daughter does. So that has got to say something right? Not to mention right by parking on the second level of the hotel casino. When your 8 year old is begging to go "the Arcade" and all you can think is that all your choices resemble a greasy, loud chuck e. cheese's, THIS is the solution. While some places around town are the "token" kids place in the casino, Game Lab is well thought out, modern, clean, and a lot of fun. The staff was friendly, and we even got a bonus when we bought our card (an extra 12 bucks!!!!). The modern games are really cool and the classic arcade games will blow you away with their existence (this coming from a kid of the 80's). Getting to play Joust was a real treat.....They also have around 8 pinball games and the coolest air hockey table ever... Oh and everything works. Nothing steals your money! And there are none of those stupid tickets to collect - its all electronic. Best $40 I have spent in a while! read more

I had been here briefly once before so I decided to take my siblings and cousins here for a fun little game night. The woman who loaded our cards for us, Sarah, was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. She gave us the rundown, and we were on our way! There was a nice variety of games, and everything was clean and well kept. The ceiling is very high so there is a lot of room to breath; it is not stuffy or sweaty like most hotel arcades in Reno seem to be. The games are a little pricey (at about $1 each game), but I like how everything including the points are loaded onto your cards. Each kid got a $10 card, and they were able to win between 100 to 1,200 points. My night started off at 5 stars, but it turned around as soon as we redeemed our prizes and worked with the other staff. When we got to the counter, we were told that the system was down and we wouldn't be able to spend our points for another 30 min. We were staying at the Peppermill, so we didn't worry to much about it and left. The machines were back up after 15 min, so we got back in line to redeem or prizes. Sarah was very attentive to us, and she helped my cousins collect their prizes. She was cracking jokes and smiling the entire time. Next to her, a lady named Kayla ignored us and continued her conversation about how she almost got into a fight with a customer the night before. I waited patiently for her to finished her conversation then my siblings got their prizes (some candy and a dart board for 1,200 points). After we got the dart board, my brother noticed a ball gun for 500 points and he immediately regretted the choice of the dart board. I waited for Kayla to finish with her other customers then asked if we could exchange the dart board for the guns. Her response was terse and she told us that it was too late to make exchanges. I was a little off put but smiled and walked away. We went up to our room to find that the dart board wasn't even working! The darts just bounced off the plastic board no matter how close of a range we tried. We packed up all the pieces and I went down to hopefully speak to a manager about exchanging the game. The woman we dealt with earlier, Kayla, ended up being the assistant supervisor and her lack of customer service and rude attitude only escalated as I tried to work with her to exchange the dart board. She was unapologetic that the darts weren't working, and would not offer us any solution. She finally said that she could load the points back onto our card, and we had hope! She asked for the original card, but that card was taken from us when we had cleared out the points earlier. Without the original card, she would not be able to reverse the transaction, despite the fact that she was standing right there when we purchased the dart board in the first place. I didn't let down, and asked again if we could exchange the darts for the two guns. Her response was simple, "you can't afford that." She has zero regard for me as a customer at this point and corrected me by pointing out that the gun on the wall is worth 1,400 points. I apologized for mistaking the price of the gun, because the identical gun sitting behind the glass counter was next to other items worth 500. After countless eyebrow raises and arm crossings, Kayla agreed to give me one ball gun to replace the dart board. I said "thank you" and she stared me down until I walked away. It was a very unpleasant interaction with her from the very beginning. This lack of customer service should not be given from an assistant supervisor. It was a 2 star experience, but I'll give another star since we were finally able to return the nonfunctional dart board. read more

Fun little place inside the peppermill casino! Apparently there was a Yelp Elite even here according to a previous reviewer, very cool! Load your game card with $10-20 and have fun for a couple hours playing some games. It had been years since I stepped into and played inside an arcade like this. Felt great to do something different like this. I only spent $10 and had a lot of fun burning those credits to play. The ticket games are ridiculous with the amount you get in return, but you do it for the thrill of the play. They have this crazy star wars simulator game that I tried out which was $2.25 just to play one round. They have ultra old classic arcade cames as well for $0.25 like paperboy or pacman. Lot of kids playing but if you're with a group of friends it doesn't really matter. For cheap thrills in Reno you can come here. :-) read more

We were here a few weeks ago for a kids birthday party. This place is pretty fun for kids and actually pretty fun for adults. They had some old school arcade games that I grew up on and it was fun to see and play them again. The place isn't that very big but big enough for kids I guess. This is a great arcade but I've noticed the prizes go down in years. They have games for everyone. Some games allow you to earn tickets and others you play for no tickets. The day I went (Monday) they had people working on the machines but that usually isn't the case Saturday when I usually go. read more

They have retro games for $0.25 per play. Most other games are ticket based. Sad they got rid of DDR.

Helpful staff when signing up/getting started. Pretty good selection of games, including a whole row of retro/older games like double dragon, punchout, gauntlet, however some of those games are on their last legs. Also, a number of the machines were out of order which was disappointing. read more

I was very surprised...very clean place with games almost all working. They have the usual $1 plus games for tickets but also some classic games for 25 cents. It is easy to get to right off the garage parking lot before going knot the hotel. They have a good process for buying cards and redeeming the tickets. PINBALL!! The Game Lab with it's AWESOME lineup of 5 late model pinballs makes this place the 'Hot Spot' if you're a fan of the silverball,like I am.Just recently they got a Ghostbusters pin and the game ROCKS!! Game Lab is Reno's best 'late model' place to play pinball. read more
