4 of us did the diamond heist room yesterday. It was great, we had a lot of fun. Made it out with 8 mins to spare. We've done a few escape rooms over the years and this one was right up there. This one I thought was pretty difficult, I couldn't even imagine the advanced version?! I'd probably still be there lol! We will definitely be back to try out some of the other rooms:)

We had so much fun here! We've done quite a few escape rooms and we definitely appreciated the attention to detail they have put into their rooms. We've completed the sorcerer one as well as the submarine escape room. The sorcerer room reminded me of Harry Potter ( you get wands!) and with the submarine room, they really make you feel like you're in a sub. Both rooms are large with multiple rooms and the staff were friendly enough, especially for being so busy on a Sunday night. Can't wait to try the other rooms!

Quality/Quantity - Wow, I mean wow!! My first time doing an escape room in Reno (not my daughters' first time) and I was so impressed! After arguing for a day about what level we should do, I won and we decided on the 40% success. And we still did NOT finish. One clue left undone. Today we did The Sorcerer and The Fountain of Hope. Atmosphere - Small independent locally owned business, supporting locals! But it also means that the GSR comps did not work here. Cool decor, but you can see most rooms were worn. But it did not bother us much. Well, it did affect a clue or two. No cell phones allowed. Only one competitor has allowed us to use our phones, mainly as a flashlight. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 11pm. Our room had 7 rooms! Our most rooms in the past have been 3. Service - 5 stars. Online reservations were user friendly and easy. Oh, and no walk-ins. The young lady was polite and welcoming. Gave us clues when needed. Did not get irritated when we pushed the "clue" button TWICE by accident. Two different people pushed it. Also this location gives us a private room. In the past and with other companies, if you do not have enough players, they partner you with others which we do not like. Or they make you pay more for private rooms. BTW, the online waiver did not work, we had to redo when we got here. Price - $29 a person. The least expensive escape room we have been to and the BEST!! Thank you. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your almost 10 years of success and thank you for such a great experience. My daughters have done 3 out of the 4 rooms total. Please have new rooms so we can come back all together!!!

We chose to play U-Boat Sinking and had a great experience with 21 minutes left to spare!! Alec did a fantastic job hosting us! Thank you for such a great time! Much love from Hawaii

We LOVE escape rooms. Breakthrough is one of the better companies in town that has working items, and the flow of the rooms is not confusing. If you are an escape room person you know how frustrating it is to do something correctly just to find out the lock or item is broken and you've wasted time. That was not at all the case here. We just completed our first room at the GSR location and cannot wait to go back for the Wizard room. They also offer an expert mode on their rooms to make them harder if you want. Highly recommend all of their locations but GSR has great rooms. And the theme of the lobby is absolutely amazing!

I think the novelty of experiencing something unique significantly improves ratings for most as…read moreit's far different than an escape room that almost everyone has already been to one or more times. So after the first game or two, I was envisioning a strong 5-star review. But after everything was said and done, I would feel, being very objective and unbiased, a 5.0 star would be a bit too high. More like 4.5 rounded up. Full disclosure we had 3 people which is the worst number as then you can't have two teams. But I'm disregarding that we had to play against a virtual house opponent. They actually let us play some games more than once so it had its upside too. There are 5 games based on the senses. I won't go farther as to not ruin the surprise. 3 were really fun, 1 was pretty fun, and 1 was mediocre although younger kids would like it (the balls). A couple games were more difficult than expected but still fun. The main thing that brings it down to a 4.5 for me, is the value. At $31 a person, we were done in about 50 minutes, about an hour including the orientation. Not the published 75 minutes. We felt like we wanted at least one more game to feel like it was worth the money or something far better than the quick ball game. I can see they priced it roughly around escape room prices. If you've never done it, feel $31/person is fair for an hour of entertainment, and have a group of 4-8, it's probably 5 stars. But the value would go down next visit as the uniqueness of a new experience is part of the entertainment. For us we felt dropping almost $100 on this was a tad pricey for 3 people so 4.5 stars. $25/person, would be 5.0 -stars. Staff is great. Realizing that our session might have been fast because we only had 1 team despite replaying a couple games twice, assuming a large group gets more play time and considering the two-team competition aspect, I'm rounding to a weak 5 stars. But definitely a 4-star for repeat visits.

She was very kind and had a lovely personality. She also gave us a courtesy call to ensure we located the center within the Grand Sierra Resort. What caught our eye was that we had to use one of our senses in each of the five challenges: smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing. The day before we had gone to an escape room and were looking for more similar experiences. Some of the challenges required the team to be split into teams while other challenges required the entire team to participate. Overall, it was a great time and I highly recommend to take a few family members and friends to enjoy the experience with. They also have a snack bar there and a dart room called the Dart Side next door.

Wednesday is half priced bar drinks, and while their prices are already low, the Wednesday deal is a steal! We ordered several classes of chardonnay, beer, a few shots of tequila, the burger sliders and wings. For a Wednesday night, it is pretty dead, which meant we had the arcade to ourselves and a very attentive waiter. Every round of drinks came out fast, and our food did not take much longer than that. The burger sliders were just that, sliders, but the sauced and dry rubbed wings were great! The rest of our party ordered the pretzel board, pizza, and more wings, which were seemingly good. Our waiter did mention they are revamping their menu, so stay tuned for potential changes in their food offerings.

My friend wanted to play Duckpin bowling, but it was $35 an hour for up to 6 people. Lucky we asked the bartender if we could pay for it at the bar and she talked to the bar manager and he said sure! It's only $3 a game per person! Now we're talking! We had 4 people and one game each was perfect for $12. You don't need bowling shoes, there is barely an approach. It was super fun! They had many specials such as street tacos $3, Modelo draft beer $4 and Margaritas $5. We had the Supreme flatbread for $14 and it was good. My Friend ordered the charcuterie board for $24. I really loved the sausage and the display was presented in a giant pretzel. I love the couches for trivia so nice and comfortable! The staff preferred not to have a photo so I respected their wishes. The building is huge with no one In it, which makes me sad! We will definitely be back for trivia and hopefully Duckpin bowling will be $3 a game again! If you're looking for a fun place for the family look no further this is the place for you!!!

So I looked up their beginner's class and booked us an hour long session online. I was also able to fill out the waiver online and confirmes it via email, as well. When you arrive you sign in at the desk and they provide you with climbing shoes if you need them. Our instructor did a great job of showing us around the facility before jumping right into the lesson. We started by warming up and then practicing some light falls before jumping into different techniques for bouldering in the starting room (also known as the children's room). Next, we went out to the main room and chose some beginners routes to climb. Finally, we finished by getting our harnesses on (also provided if needed) and clipping into the autobelay devices on the full climbing wall outside. After our lesson concluded and she gave us pointers to work on, our instructor let us know we had a day pass and could stay as long as we wanted since we paid for the class. She also let us know that they have monthly events like ladies night and DJ night that can be booked online or via phone call. They're limiting numbers right now and you can't climb with regular belays unless you've passed their tests and bring your own rope (since they can't be sanitized) but if you're looking for a great free climbing gym or climbing via autobelay routes, this is the place! I may invest in a membership one of these days, especially since they offer a student discount!

There's free yoga and core classes for members and you get a free pass for a friend once a month. I think we just have really good setters who understand the flow of the climb. Community night is on Tuesday and you meet tons of like-minded climbers there!
