I think the novelty of experiencing something unique significantly improves ratings for most as it's far different than an escape room that almost everyone has already been to one or more times. So after the first game or two, I was envisioning a strong 5-star review. But after everything was said and done, I would feel, being very objective and unbiased, a 5.0 star would be a bit too high. More like 4.5 rounded up. Full disclosure we had 3 people which is the worst number as then you can't have two teams. But I'm disregarding that we had to play against a virtual house opponent. They actually let us play some games more than once so it had its upside too. There are 5 games based on the senses. I won't go farther as to not ruin the surprise. 3 were really fun, 1 was pretty fun, and 1 was mediocre although younger kids would like it (the balls). A couple games were more difficult than expected but still fun. The main thing that brings it down to a 4.5 for me, is the value. At $31 a person, we were done in about 50 minutes, about an hour including the orientation. Not the published 75 minutes. We felt like we wanted at least one more game to feel like it was worth the money or something far better than the quick ball game. I can see they priced it roughly around escape room prices. If you've never done it, feel $31/person is fair for an hour of entertainment, and have a group of 4-8, it's probably 5 stars. But the value would go down next visit as the uniqueness of a new experience is part of the entertainment. For us we felt dropping almost $100 on this was a tad pricey for 3 people so 4.5 stars. $25/person, would be 5.0 -stars. Staff is great. Realizing that our session might have been fast because we only had 1 team despite replaying a couple games twice, assuming a large group gets more play time and considering the two-team competition aspect, I'm rounding to a weak 5 stars. But definitely a 4-star for repeat visits. read more

My family and I had a great time during our visit at Sensology. The booking was easy to do online. You select your day/time, number of guests, pay the fees for the group, and complete the consent forms. Our game host was Jess. She was very kind and had a lovely personality. She also gave us a courtesy call to ensure we located the center within the Grand Sierra Resort. What caught our eye was that we had to use one of our senses in each of the five challenges: smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing. The day before we had gone to an escape room and were looking for more similar experiences. Some of the challenges required the team to be split into teams while other challenges required the entire team to participate. Overall, it was a great time and I highly recommend to take a few family members and friends to enjoy the experience with. They also have a snack bar there and a dart room called the Dart Side next door. read more

This was an enjoyable experience. Milo was a perfect game host. She had a fun bubbly personality. She was great at getting more interactions out of us and in encouraging more betting. We are visiting the Tahoe area and saw a brochure. It is not like anything else I have ever tried. I use sensory for my work so it was fun to flesh it out in a different way. Such a fun time! We were looking for an escape room at first, but the wait for the one nearby was several hours. We have a 4 and 6y/o so that wait was not really an option for us. We walked by and went in to Sensology and Noa was at the front. She thoroughly explained the whole thing. She let us know that our age kids might not actually play but act as more supporting roles and also, there is a completely pitch black room for one of the challenges which could be a problem for some kids. We talked to our kids and explained everything she said and they were in. Idk if I'm biased or what but I feel like my kids are excellent communicators and at least one of them is really good at problem-solving. Obviously my kids are the best. lol Anyway, as our game master, Noa was incredibly informative, encouraging, and patient. We all had such a fun time!! The kids did surprisingly really really well and just so you know the games are a lot harder than you think they're going to be!!! adults are around $30 and kids six and under are free. We had no idea what it was, having never heard of it before we decided to give it a go and we had a great time:) Basically there's 5 interactive games using each one of your senses. We split into teams and made it a healthy family competition! My son and his friend are teenagers which was really great for the games because they were able to participate for every game. What's a great time! We walked in blind, only knowing that you can get split up into teams, and you're using all five senses to try and win. Our game master, Milo, was fantastic. She was very thorough in explaining what the game is like, the rules, and cheering our teams on. The games were fun and funny, and sometimes built up a sweat. I thought they did a great job coming up with games using all five of our senses. This would be a great place for TEAM building or for friends and family. You can have a minimum of two people and maybe up to eight, so there would be four on each team. I think any more than that would be a hindrance. It's not that big of a deal, but try to have your group it be split into even numbers. I feel that some of the games work out in favor of those who have more in their group. I've done so many escape rooms that this was such a great change of pace! read more

Wow! what a fun time! I was really unsure of this place because the reviews weren't really clear as to what this place is but I am so glad I went. If you love escape rooms or games this place is for you. It's also good for all ages. Basically, you and however many people you are with are put into a room with a staff member. The staff member explains there's five different mini games (one for each sense). Depending how many people are in your party you either work all together or work against each other on competing teams. The staff member guides you through each of the mini games and is available to answer any questions for you. I don't want to spoil the games because it's a fun surprise but they don't require you to be athletic or a braniac. My friends and I had so much fun doing this that we went back the NEXT day and did it again. They also have a seltzer/beer bar attached which has the LOWEST prices on beer and hard seltzers anywhere in the casino. I really hope they open more locations and also switch up the games semi frequently so it's fun to go back and do it over and over again. read more

She was so patient with my very excited kid, genuinely funny, and incredibly professional all at the same time. My sister was staying at the GSR and we came across this immersive game show style experience. We decided to do this last minute and I'm so glad we did. This experience exceeded my expectations. This was such a fun experience to do as a family. There was a bit of a wait, so we hung out and had some drinks while we waited and the kiddos played chess. Drinks were pretty inexpensive at their bar. There were 6 of us participating, we broke up into 2 teams of 3. We had a 10 & 8 year old, and 4 adults. Our host Jessica was so great and really elevated our experience! We had a private lounge that can hold up to 10 people. We went through 5 challenges/mini games, 1 for each sense (smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing). You have about 75 minutes to complete all of the challenges, but your host guides you thru each timed challenge. They were very fun, interactive, and really got you to use your senses while working as a team. We're a competitive family, so we got pretty rowdy and laughed so much. It was the best time, equally amazing for the kids and adults. This was a great family bonding experience and I highly suggest this to any one of all ages (age 7 and up is suggested). Literally She had her work cut out explaining to us how each experience was to be played. 5 different opportunities to experience different sensory opportunities. I have been to Sensology about 3 times. Once with just my husband, once as a double date and just recently as a girls night. Even though I have been there 3 times each time is as much fun as the 1st. Each room is geared towards your senses hence the name Sensology. I can't say I have a favorite room as they all bring their unique challenges. The hosts have all been great some have more energy and jokes than others but over all they are all great. You can get canned drinks from soda to seltzers and beer. Nowadays, GSR added a lot of great activities, this one is by far the best one. Even if my boyfriend and I played as a pair against the house , it was a lot of fun. There were moments in time that we were able to get a redemption round in because technically we weren't playing against another team besides the house. In retrospect, we won the entire set of games against the house (aka: Lexi). All the games were really fun and interactive . It really gets your brain going and blood pumping. None of these games are excruciatingly, difficult or embarrassing enough to not play.
