Found this place on-line wanting to do something interactive with the kids. Our party of 4 included 2 adults and 2 children (ages 10 and 11). Which i think was a pretty perfect size. We split in 2 groups against each other. Communication is KEY! I worried that the challenges would be too difficult for the kids but they were pretty simple to follow. Such a great experience! Chelsi was our assigned guide and made the entire experience really fun. It feels pricey but it is entertaining, immersive and plain fun for a group. This is so fun! One of the most fun things to do in GSR hotel. I've been here 2 times now. You form 2 teams and compete in games with all 5 senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. Our host introduced us to all the games with clear instructions and she made it a good experience for us! If you go back a second time, not much changed. Just little parts of each game but they are still basically the same. I still had fun even thought it was a second time, but I'd recommend going with different people each time. What an experience, and I recommend it to all. :) We will be sharing and hosting our friends here in the future when they visit. Quality/Quantity - Great test of your 5 senses. We finished in 50 minutes. Smelling - Smell each box and then draw the corresponding item. But if you get the smell wrong, you will be drawing the wrong picture. Sight - This is the most physical room. Find the yellow ball, then throw it through a curtain into your bin. If you throw too hard, it will hit the wall behind the curtain and bounce back out. I strategically had the best position, message me and I can share. Touch - Supposedly the hardest room. My daughter's and my favorite room. We finished with 15 seconds to spare. Xander said we were the first to ever finish this game. Maybe with all his teams...? Either way, we will take the win! The goal is to match the puzzle in the DARK, pitch black. Hear - You can choose from many different categories. I chose musical instruments. And wife chose animals. Then they play a sound and you have to act it out for your partner to guess. Most games are multiple choice, which helps significantly. Snacks and drinks are available to enjoy in your lounge, see pictures. I hope you change these games often...? So I can invite more and more people. Atmosphere - Each room is a private room, so reservations are recommended. Minimum 2 people. I also recommend if you have 4+ people to split into teams rather playing against the "house" average. It was a lot more fun being competitive to the rest of your party. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 11:30pm. Service - Xander was great. He was patient with us as this was our first time. He had to explain (sometimes several times) how to play each game. He shared what we missed. Because we finished early, we learned that we could stay in the lounge. Can I suggest letting us switch partners and/or having different players play what they missed? As only one person from each team was only allowed to do XXXX in certain games. Price - $29 a person, very reasonably priced. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2022. We watched you build this and have always been curious. So glad my daughter encouraged us to try this. Congrats on your other businesses also: Break Through Reno, Puzzle Room Reno, and Reno Axe. My oh my was Sensology fun! I have been twice now since they opened at the Grand Sierra and both times were so fun! Our most recent time was to celebrate my birthday and I had a total of 6 people in my party. Solving various tasks using all of my senses was quite interesting but super fun! There is a competitive aspect that I love as well. They have a bar, food, and service from the very beginning to the end is awesome. While -ology means "the study of", there is no studying here, only two competing teams using your senses to play and win. I came here as a last-minute fill-in to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday, where 5 moms competed against 5 boys in 5 games that used taste, sight, smell, sound, and touch. The quirky experience started in the foyer where we took a group photo that played on the concept of illusion and perspective. Then our host guided us to our private lounge, where he explained the objective of Sensology and each of the games. This was our safe space where we could leave our personal items while we played in each of the "sense" rooms. The competition and the laughs made for great memories with fantastic friends. I learned that they change up the games quarterly and they adjust them for the age of the players. On that note, I may plan a game night with friends in the future! A team challenge affair of the sense. You need at least four people split in teams of two, but the more you have the better chance you have at succeeding in each challenge. There are five challenges, one for each sense. Hearing, Touching, Seeing, Tasting, and Listening. Some challenges require the whole team to participate in the act and some challenges require some one to stay in the lounge and figure out what the others are doing. It was a lot of fun and our host Archer really played the part. They have a bar on site and you can drink in the lounge or even order more from your host while you are playing. It last about and hour to an hour and a quarter and cost $29. Archer said the challenges vary every so often, but I think even playing the same challenges could be fun as long as you have a fun, competitive crew with you! read more

It was Friday Fun Day after the Thanksgiving Food Coma day with 9 of us. My brother recommended a young people versus seasoned people showdown at this fun place. AJ, our host, was attentive to the seasoned people's request of more than water libation - then explained the games while lounging in a clean studio. The hilarity ensued from there with much trash talk and pictures taken of people doing charades. I think we burned off some food in those balls when tackling those who had the right colored balls.
