    Cinco de Mayo themed cupcakes!
    Lauren M.

Pre-COVID I have been fortunate to have experienced the work of the Cupcake Bar at corporate events and some special pop-up events. It's always been a fun, creative, deliciously entertaining experience. If you ever have a need for a memorable and interactive cupcake/donut/apple experience for your guests (post-covid, of course!) definitely check them out! Like all businesses, these COVID times are forcing everyone to get a little more creative...and the Cupcake Bar team has delivered! Here are a few standout ways: 1. Cute holiday inspired and fun flavor cupcake combinations (i.e., Cinco de Mayo, Summer time, Christmas in July). The cupcakes are dee-li-cious! No surprise there, but we love the fun and tasty flavor combinations. 2. Candy and Sweet Treat platters: great combos of different candy types and sweet treats on a super cute platter. And as an added bonus, you can ship them anywhere for a small fee! It's a great way to have happiness delivered to the doorstep of those you love. 3. Gift Boxes: These are uber cute and soooo creative! I purchased the Father's Day box which were filled with locally sourced items like mixed nuts and cute non-perishable gifts (i.e. cute miniature table top books, leather coasters, and a reusable sphere ice mold). It truly is gift giving made super easy and with thoughtfully combined unique and fun gift elements. 4. Gluten Sensitive Cupcakes: Yummm! It's a chocolate/chocolate option but the frosting is divine. I could eat it out of a jar! SERIOUSLY, sooo good! 5. Subscription Boxes! Clearly we're fans of the Cupcake Bar, and who doesn't want a monthly delivery of sweets to get through this crazy COVID year? From cupcakes to s'mores to nut mixes and more, what a fun way to keep the sweet treats going. 6. The other standout thing about the Cupcake Bar is the their customer service. In a world filled with automation, great customer service truly stands out. They are quick to respond, can help with options and are just great to work with. Plus they have contactless pick up options too! So if you haven't tried any of the Cupcake Bar's new offerings, give it a try. There are plenty of options to choose from and your supporting a local (ATX) business. In these crazy 2020 times, that is needed more than ever.

Love The Cupcake Bar! They have always been a great resource to me for dessert bars for events and gifting for clients. Always very communicated and professional. Everything tastes as good as it looks. They recently did a doughnut bar for my company holiday party and it was fantastic. They even picked items for their station that fit with my decor theme.

Oh my! What a great presentation and amazing cupcakes. I wasn't familiar with The Cupcake Bar but now 110% a fan now. Well done!

Caramel apple from the cupcake bar

The cupcake bar operated a caramel apple stand at the UT college of liberal arts fall carnival, and they were delicious and so cute. Students got to pick from a red or green apple and add toppings such as toffee and crushed m&Ms. Each apple was finished off with glitter spray too. They were sliced on request for ease of eating.

Highly recommend for all your event needs! Customer service was impeccable and helped us out when we needed client gifts, hotel drops, and cupcake/food stations! Will be using them for any future programs!

My husband ordered the Campfire with added ice cream, which was rich and very chocolaty. The charred marshmallow on top was a great touch and made it extra indulgent. Overall, a great late night dessert stop with solid flavors and friendly service. Definitely worth checking out when you're craving something sweet!

I was craving Ube and might have gone a bit overboard on ordering dessert because they had so many Ube options. The building is colorful and decorated in bright pink with fun artwork and decor for an uplifting vibe. The line moved quickly and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I was able to place my order and pay with Apple Pay. I ordered the Taiyaki Sundae with black sesame and ube swirl soft serve served in a fish shaped mochi Belgian style waffle with Oreo dust on top. You can customize your sundae with filling like organic red sweet beans, Nutella or custard and toppings like Oreo dust, fruity pebbles or rainbow sprinkles. I ate this on site and the nutty black sesame balanced the sweet ube perfectly, and the Oreo topping added the best crunch. They had a variety of mochi donut flavors. Lucky for me, nothing was sold out today. I ordered the Oreo ube mochi donut and ube milk tea to-go. I ate the mochi donut later that day and it was probably my least favorite item from my order. It had the chewy mochi texture however I didn't get enough of the rich ube flavor. It had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste and the Oreo overpowered the ube. I drank the ube milk tea the next day and it was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor profile of the beverage and would order it again. Overall, enjoyed my selections and will be back to try more dessert options and flavors from one of the most unique Asian dessert spots in Austin!

What looked like a traditional milk toast dessert, was literally four pieces of stale bread, toasted and stacked on top of each other. that tasted freezer burnt with lots of sauce on top. No topping between each layer so it was not flavorful or tasty and all you could taste was a weird chemical flavor from the bread. Same thing with the ice cream, so freezer burnt that it tasted of chemicals, cardboard, and didn't even melt despite sitting on the plate for 15+ minutes. The Taro tea itself was fine with the crème brûlée topping, but the brown sugar Boba had the same chemical "going bad" flavor to it. It was super hard and bitter tasting instead of sweet. The soufflé pancakes were fine, but the ice cream was terrible on that too. It's hard to mess up Ice Cream, but somehow they managed.
