I've gone here twice now. The first time was with staff is a bit of a team builder. The owners were super helpful and getting everything set up and helping us to choose games that were great for us. We did two different games and broke up into two different groups and had a blast over the years I've done several escape rooms, but nothing like this. I came in today for a birthday surprise for Thing One for his 15th birthday weekend bash. I paid for the VR package on line and was advised at sign up to come in 15 minutes early to go over any instructions as well as complete any of the required waivers for game play. Prior to arriving, the owner phoned me and advised me that she reserved a parking space for my guest and I (what a gracious business owner). When we arrived, she provided us with thorough information about the controllers, how the game worked and what is to be expected during the game. Although I didn't play the game, the parties who did had a blast and enjoyed the commercial level VR experience they had. The level of service we received here was top-notch. Wasn't sure what to expect, but my boys and I had a great time. Much more advanced VR than your typical console VR setup. Staff was super helpful and did a really thorough job of explaining the system. Even though we've never done a VR "escape room" we chose a more advanced game, Cyberpunk. Wasn't worried that we'd have any issues as both my boys are big on console gaming and I grew up with it, so I figured we would be able to figure out any puzzles or tasks. Note that it is set in the "world" of the video game, Cyberpunk, but you are not playing a VR version of Cyberpunk. Essentially, you have to figure out puzzles and work as a team to advance and "escape" (finish the game). The gameplay was good as were the puzzles. Some were harder than others. Everyone had an opportunity to figure things out and it wasn't about being the first to the clue or the area or someone dominating the "escape". Overall it was a very cooperative experience, so kudos to the developer on that. Movement was the hardest thing to get used to because, you should mostly use your controllers to "move" and turn within the VR world. However, you can turn your head and body in the real world, but you run the risk of getting entangled. My youngest did this and the the system does a good job of prompting you to unwind yourself. Will definitely go back and try other experiences. read more

So much fun! We've done several games here, some with family and some with friends, and all were a blast!

Heard about this place from a friend. We had been looking for new and different date night ideas and figured we would give it a shot. Since my partner is afraid of heights, we chose to start with Jungle Quest, which is a whimsical game that requires players to work with each other to solve a series of mini challenges. When we arrived, we got detailed instructions on how to use the controls, game play, etc. Once we started the game, we had a bit of a slow start, but by the end, we were moving and collaborating effectively. They were so nice and gave us an extra 20 minutes so we could finish our game. Sadly, I was one of the small percentage of people to feel motion sickness/nausea. My partner is normally the one that experiences that sort of thing. Maybe I just had my headset on too tight? Anyway, I felt a lot better once I completed the game and drank some water. We are definitely going to go back to try a different game and even see about booking a team builder event for our employers. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Virtropolis! What a fun twist on escape rooms! First off, I am of the 50 year old crowd and I run with folks who are a bit older lol. We did our first game back in February. The owners are THE BEST! They do a fantastic job of explaining the process and making sure that we were comfortable. Before you actually do one of these VR games, it is difficult to envision and understand what you're truly in store for! Especially if you are of the crowd who only knew Pong, and Pitfall, and Burger Time...... I digress. We did the Escape the Lost Pyramid as our first game, since this was suggested by the folks there. There was definitely a bit of a learning curve, but once us old folks got the hang of how to play with controllers (lol) it became much easier. There were 4 of us and honestly, we couldn't have solved it without each other. Someone would figure something out and tell the others so we could advance. I do believe that it actually registered on my FitBit - we definitely broke a sweat and moved around for almost a solid hour. After that, our besties were HOOKED! They went on 2 more adventures without us. We did another in April (Survival) and this time, we had more experience with the controllers and really had an appreciation for the time limit and we solved it! The games are fun. But I think the owners and their genuine caring for their customers' experiences is the best part. These days this is hard to come by. I am hooked on these VR games and I cannot say enough about the wonderful owners - it is truly an experience and if you don't do so hot your first time, you will have learned so much so the next time will be MUCH better! I took my 17 year old son and 10 year old godson here this evening along with a girlfriend of mine and her 14 year old son. This was my first experience with VR so I was unsure of what to expect. The owner Mrs Patty was not only very informative but also very accommodating in spite of our party not arriving early as recommended. We chose this as a date night activity last minute. We played the temple escape which is recommended for first time VR players, and had a great time. The pregame instructions were thorough and easy to remember. The puzzles were fun. The game ran smoothly. There was a part where you had to climb above a long drop and I really struggled to convince myself I wasn't about to die. Besides rediscovering a fear of heights, it was a great time. Talk about an AMAZING experience! We bought this as a Fathers Day gift for the family to do together (all of us having never done any sort of VR) and we loved it so much we immediately bought a second game! The place is very nice inside with clean equipment and the owners go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful time. The tutorials were easy to understand and engaging and the games were INCREDIBLE! Lots of twists, turns, problem solving and critical thinking where we had to work together as a team. We played the Chernobyl and Lost Pyramid games and were able to win them both, but not by much! 100% recommend for anyone looking for an amazing day out with friends, family, or for date night. Amazing! We do escape rooms all the time. This was quite different but just as amazing. I really got into it. I appreciate how Hailey took the time to explain the controls and walk us through what it would be like. The adventure was very realistic and I even screamed at one point because I thought I was falling. Also the lobby and game play areas are very well maintained. This place was absolutely amazing. Their setup includes private rooms and a ton of immersive VR games. We chose to do cyberpunk and the arena. Cyberpunk was challenging and fun, we had to work as a team to complete the game. Beyond the traditional up/down, 360, pickup drop, Cyberpunk gave each player with 4 special abilities that made the experience really awesome. We were climbing walls, teleporting, and much more. The arena reminded me of Halo with VR. We broke into teams, we ducked, jumped, climbed. We had multiple weapons and shields and a good variety of maps to play. The arena really made us break a sweat. Overall the experience was something we will never forget, I highly recommend this place for friends/family. read more

Patty absolutely saved my butt when I called the evening before I wanted to take my daughter and her friends to Virtropolis for her 13th birthday! I honestly can't say enough nice things about this place. I do not remember the name of the nice lady owner but she was excellent. I was a dummy and messed up our groupon coupons (coupons were nice but it's worth the price either way) for our group (several times) and she knew the ticketing system inside and out and exactly how to move it to make it all work. I even took down her name to say nice things about her to the owner! She is the owner! (oops) Well. I hope she reads this. Thank you! THEN. We had brought our non-gamer friend and she struggled learning the basic controls. Since our game was co-op, the rest of us were waiting on her and a little frustrated. Nice owner lady swooped in again. We talked with her after and she said it's because when she played it with her teenage boys, she also struggled, and sympathized with her. Then she got the hang of it and loved it so much she opened this place up with her husband. :) Oh and the games were really fun! Everyone wanted to go back. My family and I have been here twice now and it was super fun. The staff are friendly and helpful. The owner is super excited about her business. The VR equipment fit my head perfectly and worked well. A couple of family members had issues at first with the equipment not fitting their head well or not working well for them but they worked the issues out in the first 5-10 minutes of playing. Two of us tried Jungle Quest (first VR experience for both of us), and we only got 60% completed. Five of us tried Mission Sigma (first VR experience for all but me) and we finished it with 5 minutes to spare (having more people may have helped). First timers with no VR experience, no escape room experience, or with young players (especially if there are only two of you) may want to try Survival first. read more

After a late lunch at the Indian restaurant at this plaza, we stumbled on this place while we waited for our rideshare. What an incredible surprise it was. We have never done VR and the owner was so helpful in guiding us on what would be a great introductory one to do, and took her time to show us how to use the controls. Oh man this place is the most fun! I don't know a thing about video games. The most I can play is Mario Cart and I'm bad at even that. So I was skeptical that I wouldn't be able to catch on quickly enough or be terrible at it. I had nothing to worry about. We played the Egypt game and before we started we got a tutorial that made it easy to navigate and have fun in the game. The people running it are very nice! They helped occasionally when we got stuck and were kind as we got used to the game. This was soooo much fun highly recommended it even for people who don't normally play video games. read more
