First off, Emily and her team are artists…read more We got married at Lucky Arrow Retreat outside Austin, and our aesthetic was a mix of Texas country western meets queer bar: lots of vibrant, bold colors. We wanted something playful, unexpected, and a little bit dramatic. We came to Gypsy Floral with some pretty clear vision boards for the look and feel of the event, and Emily and her team understood the assignment completely. They brought our vision to life while adding layers of detail, texture, and character that we never would have been able to come up with on our own. Since we were planning from out of town, Emily and her team met with us multiple times over Zoom, which made the process incredibly easy. She was also fantastic about collaborating with our other vendors, particularly our caterer and coordinator, to make sure the florals, tablescapes, food stations, and overall design felt cohesive rather than like separate pieces. The ceremony florals were a particular highlight. They were dreamy and somehow felt both incredibly special and completely at home in the brushy Hill Country landscape at Lucky Arrow. The colors tied beautifully into the rest of the event. Those arrangements were also reused for our receiving line immediately following the ceremony, which was great. It made aesthetic sense, but importantly, Gypsy was never trying to sell us additional arrangements. There were also so many incredible details throughout the reception. The structural arrangements at our food stations were a true coup de grâce, and we loved the more unexpected touches, like the dramatic lamps and the beautiful arrangement in a punch bowl belonging to my grandmother near the bar. Those details gave the whole event so much personality and made the space feel like our wedding rather than simply a beautifully decorated venue. We also want to highlight the incredible effort the entire Gypsy Floral team put in on the wedding day itself. They got us into our boutonnieres, handled the transition of florals when we needed to move them for photos, and managed all of the behind-the-scenes logistics so seamlessly that we never had to think twice about them. They made the entire process low-stress, which we deeply appreciated. We received so many compliments from our guests about the flowers and overall design, and we continue to hear the same from friends and family when we show them our wedding photos. We couldn't recommend Gypsy Floral more highly. i highly recommend NOT shopping at winnie couture in austin!! i went with a friend of mine for her…read moreto try on wedding dresses and from the moment we walked in, it wasn't a great experience. there was only one other group in there at the time, but by the time my friend entered the dressing room, they were gone. the store is very small, which is fine, but when we walked in there were two female employees standing behind the desk, neither of which greeted us. there was a very small selection of dresses and we were told to pick what she wanted to try on. once it came time to try the dresses on, my friend was not offered any help whatsoever so myself and our other party guest had to go into the dressing room, which was very small, to help the bride. my friend absolutely fell in love with a dress and asked for a few different veils to try on and as she was putting them on, both employees stood behind the desk and laughed at her to the point that one of them was squatting down to try and hide. this made her immediately feel uncomfortable and she wanted to leave. she tried on one more dress and they again, laughed while behind their little desk. unfortunately, this led to my friend not wanting to buy a dress that she loved and when i asked the two employees if there was a manager i could speak to, i was told they were not allowed to give out that information. as i spoke to them to let them know why what they did wasn't okay, they just shook their heads and didn't speak. winnie couture is not a welcoming environment at all and i don't suggest any bride go there to try on dresses.

Some of their start up logistics could be better as to maximize game time. Due to the time crunch, not everyone in our group got to play the plinko game which everyone wanted to play. Fix that and it's a five star experience!
