Hosted my daughter's 7th birthday party at Main Event in North Austin. She and her friends had an…read moreamazing time! We opted for a package that included an hour of bowling, food & drinks for the kids, and a $10 arcade game gift card per child. This package was pretty affordable at $18 per child. They have add one such as goody bags and food/drink options for adults. We added a couple food platters for adults and the goody bags. Pros: - Affordable and convenient - low stress - kids had an absolute blast Cons: - Overall service was very average and slow. Inexperienced party host staff. - Room wasn't set up / ready until bowling was nearly done. - Upon arriving at the venue we learned that they didn't have goody bags available that day. This was disappointing because I would've expected a heads up at least one day in advance so that we can make other arrangements. They did provide an extra $10 on each child's game card to make up for it, which was nice.

Horrible party venue for kids. The staff was 15 min late to start the party even though we were on…read moretheir clock and had a time limit to adhere too. They said that was normal . Our food came in 15 min increments. So we started off with one pizza then the second and third pizza came out 15 min apart. This meant no one got to eat all at once which is really weird . The staff was then late to take us to Lazer tag and told us we might have to skip it all together because our party host arrived 3 min late to the game even though it was part of the package we paid for and not our fault our party host was dragging her butt. After hearing every excuse in the world including having a "manager" basically shush me and act like I was being unreasonable for demanding they stick to the party plan and stop being late to everything. After all this we ended up having to stay an hour and a half later than we had planned to experience everything we paid for and half the kids had to leave by that time which was really upsetting. They have no respect for your time they just want your money and once they have it you're no longer important. They had the nerve to give us a 1 hour of bowling for free gift card (to make it up ) while they gave us a $475 bill and wanted a tip. As if we are ever going back. This is after hearing "we have other people besides you to attend to what do you expect us to do we can't fix everything". Like I'm supposed to pay for a party package and not expect to get everything I paid for because they have more than one party . Just lazy !!! They have ZERO accountability, not one person really gave a damn. It was more like a burden to have to work. The whole place is going down hill and the restrooms are beyond filthy. The food is atrocious and even when we had to wait came out cold. Never had such a trashy worthless waste of money experience in my life as I did at this place. This isn't an opinion it's what happened.

The service is okay but on the slower end. There was no wait when we went for dinner and the prices are good. Queso: The queso was decent but it did not have much depth. It kind of just tasted like plain cheese but it was still good. Grilled chicken sandwich: The sandwich was soooo yummy!! The bacon was cooked to perfection and the sauce just tied everything together. The sandwich was not dry at all and it was so flavorful. The portion size is a little smaller but there was plenty of fries. Molten lava cake: The cake was so yummy!! It came warm with the gooey center chocolate flowing out. The ice cream on top tied everything together. I wish the cake was bigger because it was so good.

Punch Bowl Social has a little bit of everything..bowling, arcade games, karaoke, drinks, and food, all in one place, which makes it really easy to keep everyone entertained. The vibe is super fun and energetic without feeling chaotic. We spent most of our time bouncing between arcade games and bowling, and before we knew it, a few hours had passed. The happy hour deals were also a nice surprise and made everything feel a lot more affordable than expected.

We were in the process of leaving the second time. Every time we would go, multiple games wouldn't work but it's part of the pinballz experience and we just wrote it off as no big deal but the losses do pile up. I was there today and it was busy and more than half of the games didn't work. When they did work; they had glitches. I found an employee which is tough and they saw what I was saying and apologized and said to go to the counter and they can credit me back. The woman at the counter wasn't as nice and told me she wouldn't be crediting me back for games that didn't work and said it with a huge attitude. The way people treat people there is wild. I've literally spent thousands of dollars and when telling them I was having issues with 5 games and would like to be credited back for the games that didn't work; they seemed to take satisfaction in telling me no. I won't be back and no one there cares. Broken games and counter people with superiority complexes aren't a great match but they will still make their money. The last thing this place is is fun.

If you saw viral videos of this, and thought, "Oh man that looks fun."…read more Bingo. But you don't know that half of it. We went when my nephew was in town for Spring Break. I've been DYING to go back ever sense. I don't think I can even explain to you how addictive and all consuming the joy of playing these games are. Bonus, it's for sure a work out. If I lived closer I would would be at this joint two or three times a week, and in the best shape of my life. The games are all fast paced and high energy, but does it feel like a workout? Not at all, until you realize when you are so SHWEATY. It's like burst sprints mixed with body weights and maybe some yoga? I just know that I loved it in a way that I haven't loved physical activity since I was in my teens. The staff was all super friendly too. The perfect kind of friendly as well. Polite, informative, but not all fake high energy/chatty like your at a kids camp. It was nothing but good vibes. It was fairly busy when we went, which means we had to cycle through rooms pretty fast, but there are so many rooms! You can always go back for your favorites again later, and some of the ones that "looked" boring were actually the most fun for me. I was practically BEGGING them to give me a membership, but they don't do those... Yet? There was some discussion of some locations offering memberships as a trial run, and that it might become a thing nationwide. *fingers crossed* GO!

Loved the variety of room, didn't love the wait time that counted against your total time if you weren't in a room. Not sure how it would be possibly, but having your minutes tick away while you waited for the groups in front of you to finish with a room was irritating. Our family of five did have a boatload of fun though at 8, 11, 14 and 42. Lots of skills levels so it was good to be able to pick a variety of games. Note to anyone with shorter kids - maybe skip the basketball room as our 8 year old took a rebounding ball right to the face because he was the perfect height. Also, sometimes the rooms don't work. We wasted time in one room because it stopped working and we didn't know. It let us do two full rounds with literally nothing happening. They do fix them fairly quickly, but your time is gone already and you don't get it back ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This would be great on a weekday where I assume the crowds are smaller. Would do again - we all came out sweaty and smiling.

We showed up on a Saturday night and I was expecting it to be a lot busier. I assumed it would be crawling with rugrats and ankle biters but my friend and I were it. They had a Saturday night special where it was unlimited play with any type of blaster. There was about 1.5-2 hours left before they closed up and figured we could play a lot of games. Since it was the two of us it was mano y mano while we had a gamesmaster/ref/time keeper there. The space is littered with Darts and with the variety of blasters available you need to be cognizant of what 'caliber' you're using. A family ended of four ended up coming in so despite being outnumbered 2-1 we beat them due to superior tactics, coordinated teamwork and the fact that two of the them hadn't hit puberty yet.
