We just spent an hour here at noon on a week day. RJ was working and he was very polite. We bought the game card for 30 minutes and played, then had a personal pizza with a souvenir cup. The personal is the size of a paper plate ($12) and for a few extra dollars you can get a medium. We went straight to the Photo Booth and got a few pictures made with our game card. I'm glad we chose the game card option because some of the games weren't easy to understand immediately or were underwhelming. Once we found the games we liked it was a good time. What I do like is, if you don't have enough tickets to get the toy you want you can pay a few extra dollars for it. There were only two other families there and it was nice. I would absolutely recommend this for a weekday. We ended up spending a total of $50 which is a little expensive however, if we had paid for points on the card instead of buy time, it would've been more expensive. read more

This review is for the Chuck E Cheese in South Austin. I go there on a regular basis. However, many times the rides for the toddlers have been out of service. The babies are without games to play. Why is the manager not notifing the customers letting them know that the rides are not working before they pay? Many coustomers feel like they are not getting what they paid for after paying for the rides. This is not good customer service. Chuck E Cheese, you are better than this. read more

If we are at an entertainment place for kids then literally Don't hire kids, they lacked the most important thing and that was customer service. There was an Employee that stood out .. helped me with everything I needed help with. even when it was something they didn't want to do.. 2 employees turned away and Angel stayed and didn't leave until I was good. really appreciating him at the end of the day cause its not like I was there for my own entertainments, its for the babies and if it aint going right then ima be upset for them and ill be their mouth always when they can't speak for them selves. This location was clean, had a good amount of games for the kids and friendly. The food was decent for a Chuck E. Cheese. The service was ok, I feel like I did not have the best experience because the employees are basically teenagers with a lack of training. My son had a blast therefore I rate this place 4 stars. EXTREMELY over priced. Will never come back. Rude employees. Play time for a toddler is $31+ for an hour and doesn't even include the mini trampoline area, which there already isn't much for them to be able to do. They made sure to lock it up after my 2 year old went in there on her bday and we didn't know it had an extra fee for the 2 minutes she was wanting to play in there, it was already open and we were the only people there. Have to keep putting money on a separate card, but that's typical with most arcades. Toddler prices should be different than an older child who is able to do everything. My son and I enjoy this Chuck E Cheese. We go early and never have any problems. Most the times we do the lunch buffet. It's only 5.99 and there's salad, pizzas, and a dessert pizza. That's a super value and kids under 3 are free. You can ask them to make any pizza for the buffet and they will. I must admit I love their pizza especially when it's piping hot! Sometimes the games take a token but are broken and I tell the front and they credit the play cards 2 tokens. It's the little things that count. read more

Yes, I'm in my mid-30's and went to Chuck E Cheese without a kid, and not to celebrate any kid's birthday either. I went because it was game night... and alas, Chuck E Cheese has games. My brother and I were hitting the town's game spots - we started at Double Dave's, and there were a million kids there. The good games were taken, and getting a beer in that place is like getting a glass of water in the desert - not too likely. After our little Oasis beer, we left feeling unsatisfied. So, off to Chuck E's we went... the place wasn't too packed, the games were aplenty and for the most part the games we wanted to play were open. Of course, the breadsticks are the bomb, so we ate those while drinking our nice cold beer that was in my hand in a few short minutes after entering. We played a few games that were just spewing tickets so we could purchase some of the lame prizes - nostalgia, people, we couldn't help it. After having a pretty darn good time, drinking some beer, and eating some food we were off to Dart Bowl... definitely feeling a lot better about the success of our game night! read more

This place is not the Chuck E. Cheese's I remember growing up, however I may be a little bias as I am niether a kid nor a parent (was babysitting a friends niece). The inside of this place is pretty small, and the bright lighting seems a bit off-putting for an arcade place. Some of the arcade games and rides here were broken, and the ones that were not broken were kind of beaten down. Unlike places like Main Event and Dave and Busters, they do not have a lot of games that adults and older teens can enjoy and most of the games are ticket based rather than actual games to play. For example, they have lots of games that involve only pressing one button for a ticket payout. The staff that were working also did not seem very enthusiastic about being there either, which gives off a bad vibe considering this is a place people bring their children too. The only positives were that they had a deal where you could get double the points when I went, and a lot of the games only cost one credit to play so you can get a lot out of your money. read more

We stopped by with family and paid $30 for 120 credits. They split the credits onto 3 gaming cards for no extra charge. Each game costs one credit, so each child got to play 40 games for $10 each. Not bad for about 90 minutes of entertainment. The kids had a good time and we needed a place to take the kids on an extra hot day. The place was clean, hence the 4th star. There were games that stopped working, at which point you could call an attendant to fix and give you an extra credit to play the credit you'd just lost on the broken machine. Fun place for the kids and adults too... We have been there few times and every time kids had a blast. This time we did our sons birthday party there and it went as we expected. ( fun and hassle free) The place is clean, staff is friendly, food is fine. Our event coordinator was very nice. She helped us not only to set everything up but also to wrap the remaining food and make packets for the guests. There were parties one after another but the staff was quick in setting table, cleaning, bringing food, etc. cons: The queue and wait at the entrance. So this location is now open. Games are limited and quite a few are not working which sucks! Tables are operated to maintain the 6 feet distances so there's not much place to sit and dine if it reaches capacity. There was only 2 staff members that I seen the entire 2 hours I was there, and I believe the girls were doing their best. Food was still good, and we still had a fun time. My advice would be to come early so you're not left out with no place to sit. Chuck E. won't be coming out at all due to covid so be prepared for that. The Arbor Walk location has been renovated so there is more room for drop ins. My 6 year old granddaughter picked it. We took her and her older sister on a Wednesday. They had a blast. I'd probably suggest eating somewhere else and then coming to Chuck E Cheese's to entertain the kids. The price is pretty high for the quality of food you get, but they gotta make their money somehow. The place isn't bad. I guess what stood out to me was that there isn't an initial fee. You have to get your hand stamped but otherwise you're just paying for tokens. I like that they have a lot of pretty small rides for the really little kids too. There's this weird ride for bigger kids that takes you through a roller coaster... and I'll admit, that was kinda entertaining. While I would normally never suggest any sane person* visit this establishment, they do have some arcade games that might merit a visit. Specifically they have one pinball machine. Pinball at this location: - Pirates of the Caribbean (Stern 2006) http://ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=5163 The pinball is only one token (i.e. a quarter) but you dont get replays or matches on the machine. You get the Chuck E Cheese tickets instead. Replay score is pretty high at around 48 Million. I can't speak to the quality of the pizza here, but it's not really the reason for visiting. The service, pizza, and coordination for my daughters birthday was SPOT ON PERFECT. There are many positive things that I can repeat about this place, but they will be the same as others essentially. What I would want to make note of is that the employees helped us in every aspect of the party service and reservations in a most professional manner. I had no expectations from here on that, but they surely set the standard high for others to follow. They handle many parties simultaneously and they do it very well. It is amazing that they do it so well with lots of kids and families cycling through. The person who assisted us was Alysza. She was a gem. She ensured that we were directed to our tables, our guests got what they needed, and the flow and tempo of all the events went flawless. She helped with everything from bags for gifts, pizza, plates, lighting candles, coordinating the "show" and so much more. Chuck E. made a few appearances and the kids loved it. Additionally, the manager frequently came by and checked with our party event to ensure we were all satisfied and having a great time. We honestly do not spend money on these things often, but I do have to say that the money we spent was a great bargain for the convenience and worry free party that we had. Had our son's 2nd birthday party here in March 2015. It was absolutely a blast for everyone invited to the party. I had a very good, involved and upbeat hostess who helped me from the moment I called in advance weeks before to plan the party, to the day of the party when she was on site and ready to do this thing. And I believe the head manager of the location even came around asking if there was anything he could do to make the party better, and was seen asking the hostess the same thing. It was great that he did that. I think for the price compared to other places you can have a birthday party, this one just has the best bang for buck and best deal, especially for children under 10 years of age. We had a birthday party for one of our other sons some years ago at this location and even that went very well. If I could do a cost/benefit analysis of the time and money put into preparation for this party and the results of the party, I would say the benefits far outweigh the cost. There are three different birthday packages you can choose, and I think they're all good. We still have a whole bunch of tokens my son can still come back and use for games. Chuck E. Went on 9/11/16 my 14 year old son had been asking to go,it is truly "where a kid can be a kid".we print online coupons and get a package deal for $40 a little pricey but reasonable. The pizza is good when it first comes out hot and fresh.Fully stocked salad bar is supper good. Old crappy games most with no instructions so you get to waste a token to figure out how to play. Basically impossible to get tickets because most of the lame ass games only give you a few MAX. I can't imagine the shitstorm that is this place when it's actually busy. Went to a birthday party here this weekend, although we've been a few times before with just our own munchkins in tow. This Chuck E Cheese is fairly new and fairly clean, but the new one on I-35 S is brand spankin' new-ier and maybe a little closer to our house. The place was pretty full from 11am-1pm on a Sunday. Unfortunately, a number of the good rides and machines were out of order this time. C'mon Chuck, find a good game repairman, why dontcha? The birthday party went well I think, there were plenty of tokens for each guest, pizza for all, juice boxes, and waters for each kiddo, and a birthday show complete with Chuck E. himself and the ticket blaster. That ticket blaster looks really fun, even for an adult. Sadly, no matter how many tickets you get, almost everything they have to buy with those tickets is complete junk. But my 4yo doesn't seem to notice that. He's still enjoying some plastic vampire teeth he got with his tickets. I recommend that if you are going on your own dime, print out coupons on their website beforehand or get on their email list for even better coupons. It will save you a little dough, and make the experience a little less painful. All in all, not a place I'd go if I didn't have kids, but they enjoy it, so it's fine by me, once in a blue moon. They do have a pretty wide variety of soda selections, and even Bud and Bud Light on tap. I have never had a beer there because I might feel creepy if I did, but maybe someone else enjoys a nice Bud while watching an animatronic mouse dance, and who am I to judge you for that? read more

I have attended parties at all locations in the Austin area previously. We chose this location for my sons 5th birthday party. I was nothing but disappointed with the service! Negatives: It so long to get the adult beverage cups that most of the adults in our group went to the register and purchased their own!!! We only needed 2 by the time she finally got them out to us. The "party coordinator" that was assigned to us failed to call our party when pizza was ready to be served. She was actually no where to be found. We had to collect our party, and I had already served the kids their pizza before she showed up. By then all kids had pizza, and she then asked if I needed her to serve the kids? I just replied no they are all already taken care of. Some being almost done with their pizza. When my son did the ticket blaster there were only tiny single tickets and the 1000 tickets ticket in the machine, she didn't fill it before he entered from the child in front of him. Although he did get the big ticket and had it in his hand when the machine was turned off, he dropped it on his way out, and she didn't let him. Still have it!!! He was pretty mad about that! I even video taped it and it showed this on the video :( When we opened presents, I was the one who had to clean up paper from presents. She brought me the bag and pretty much watched. All in all we had the party here to prevent us from having to do pretty much everything since I'm pregnant and to be taking it easy. This didn't happen for the most part. Ohh and the drink cups we didn't use since we had to purchase others. When she failed to get drinks for 40 minutes, were to be taken off of our bill. Yep you guessed it never were!!!!
