Dave & Buster's staff was fantastic. We went for a special event where they had a large buffet in the event dining room. We got free unlimited Moscow Mules and then a couple other drinks of our choice from the full cocktail menu. I wasn't all that impressed by the Million Dollar-Rita, and sadly the glitter bomb in it didn't do much, but it helped sweeten the drink at least. The roast beef was fantastic and so was the lemon rice and the green beans. The pork was okay but a little tough and we all agreed that we wished it was turkey instead. After eating we all got unlimited game cards and played for a few hours which was a lot of fun. They have great immersive games where you literally put your full energy into it like the UFC fight game where you're punching and kicking, or the soccer game where your actually kick a ball. The Godzilla VR and that other VR ride next to it were a couple of my faves. Really exciting - especially when you are throwing your fists around to get rid of dragons and hornets and more...all virtual. Only complaint we have is this one server guy that asked for the ID of one woman at our table and she had just renewed her license and didn't have it , so he made it hard for her to get drinks....despite being over 40. Overall: 3.5/5 [dine in] D&B had a Super Bowl special for all you can eat wings and all you can play games (blue ones only) for about $29 during the game (5 hrs) which was so worth it. We played games for 3.5 hrs and ate for an hour in total. They had a variety of games but quite a few of their machines, especially the shooting games, were not accurate or working. We also encountered an issue where they said they ended the all you can eat wings an hour early, so we had to pull up our ticket and read them the fine print. Luckily they honored it and let us order our wings. Each order came with 6 wings (bone in or boneless), about 2 celery sticks, a large ranch dipping sauce, and a wet wipe. We ate dinner late (around 9 PM) after playing games, so they only had naked, honey BBQ, and buffalo available. We got the honey BBQ, which was good at first, but then I got a tangy aftertaste that lingered on my tongue. We ordered naked boneless wings, but they brought us bone in for the first round. It was still good, but I did dip it in the ranch more. The second time they brought out the naked boneless wings, which were very crispy and better than the bone in ones. The wing quality reminds me of Wingstop, so they were all right. We also ordered two cocktails: Dangerous Waters Island Punch ($7) and Million Dollar 'Rita ($20.49). It was kind of suspicious they didn't put the drink prices on the menu but did for the food. Seems like they did that so they can charge whatever they want. The Dangerous Waters Island Punch tasted like there was no alcohol, was a bit sour, and quickly became watered down. Updating review after 9 years, it feels like this location is ready to go out of business with the state of the the bathrooms and the arcade floor. These are all the broken games today, the same games broken when we went earlier this week. Bar and restaurant staff and food has always been great, and the team members are trying to fix some games but this seems like a continued problem. But roughly 20 games out? Several just ate credits and we had to walk away after a while. I literally can't even post the amount of games down on yelp it maxed out at 20...I know it is half off games on Sunday, I didn't realize it meant literally half would be "off". read more

Some friends and I decided we wanted to get out of the house but not to a night club or bar. We ended up at Dave & Buster and we have no regrets. No one greeted us and they could not answer our questions about pricing and deals. The bar service was decent, smiles and laughs all around. The drinks were far too sweet so we only had one. I've tried several food options and haven't been impressed so I'd recommend skipping the meal and head straight for the games. PRICING: We paid $82.45 after tax for two of the "Eat & Play Combo" options with a $35 play card ($39.99 each). The games are fun, and the bar service was actually great. Unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by the management team, specifically Kristen. During my visit, I witnessed Kristen speaking to employees in an unprofessional manner and yelling at staff in front of customers. It's uncomfortable and embarrassing to watch employees be treated that way while they're simply trying to do their jobs. A manager sets the tone for the entire establishment, and this behavior creates a negative atmosphere for both staff and guests. What was even more telling was hearing employees discuss their frustrations after she walked away. When multiple employees and customers seem to have concerns about the same manager, it raises the question of why that person is still representing Dave & Buster's. The staff and bartenders deserve better leadership. The games and drinks may bring people in, but management behavior like this is what drives customers away. read more

In 2001 on hot day in not yet developed South Philly I hosted what we have laughingly referred to as the most broke down birthday: 1 warm beer on tap, bad pizza and every machine broken. This was chunky cheese. We left and went for Pho down the way. I say this because our experience today 5/17/2026 at the North Austin Dave & Busters was far worse. Partially because I have 20 years of AMAZING experiences at D&Bs around the country, partially because the cost of drink is the same as 5 star hotel downtown, partially because 1/5 of the machines were broken. But mostly my ire comes from how rude the bartenders were. We came 3 of us 30-50 yo excited to have a fancy drink and some games of delight. We went to the bar 6 patrons and the place not yet busy. A flustered irritated man asked for our order and dipped around the corner to make them. 2 drinks arrived and the check from a young woman who clearly hates her coworker. She was hostile to him and we received the run off. We ordered a Passionfruit Ranch Water, a Mai Tai and a Dangerous water. We were given two drinks, one clear had a lemon a thin swampy swirl of lemon juice at the bottom. And the blue dangerous water looking like the picture. I paid. I tipped 20% and requested the 3rd drink the Mai Tai. This was another clear drink with a lemon on top. We questioned whether this was the drink and pointed at the picture. She snapped at us it's the same this is their recipe. We all took a sip, it tasted like white rum, sprite and lemon with a hint of passionfruit: I came back this can't be right, and we've all tasted it, it's not a mai tai. Would you please mind remaking it, I'm sorry. She shoot me a look, that made me regret asking. I said we did like the Blue drink could she please replace it with that. With much rancor and disappearing around the corner the blue drink returned while she pointedly refused to look at me. All of having spent many years as bouncers, servers, bartenders in bars and restaurants know those drinks the ranch water and mai tia were definitely not anything like the recipe. But left it. Man server came to the table chewing gum and his mouth moving fast as he putted his fingers on the dish and to close to the food , . So the salad I got came in wrong and the manager had seen that I was upset and salad had to be taken away. My company had an event here. We were given cards to play games and had a few buffets with food--one for vegetarians and a normal one. The normal one had wings, salad, and pizza. The vegetarian one had baked potatoes and steamed veggies. Then, we were given one ticket for a domestic beer or a glass of wine. Some of the games took a lot of credits to play. The food is sub-par, but I doubt people come here to eat. The parking lot has plenty of parking. We also have fun here, we don't come often but that makes it better for us, we don't get burned out. We enjoy the food and the games, this time was on a relaxation weekend we needed and had some fun picking several game to have a friendly competition with to see who would pick prizes in the winners lounge. We tried dodgeball but it started before Shana could swipe the card so we each played a game and didn't compete as we didn't realize what happened until after the game. Then electronic ax throwing which I couldn't stop flicking my wrist and screwing up so she did way better and won. We had a Fruit Ninja battle in which Shana treated the bombs like they were real and flinched from them. On to a staple with Connect 4 basketball which she had a rare win on leading to mega drop and a hot wheels racing coin collecting game. She won the majority but it was fun. We tried a fishing game that turned out to be a ton of fun but that was after the battle and didn't count but due to a shark I caught which gets you a bonus but doesn't count towards your fish total I lost!!! The food was good as usual. The drinks are always fun and we try new stuff pretty much every time we visit, this visit had Shana try a drink with strawberry infused Ice cubes. Very cool. The staff was friendly except the guy working the winner circle/ticket prize area. He was not rude but just didn't give a rat's ass. I get it, I don't want to be at my job either and most likely your job is awful and underpaid. But you are dealing with kids and people trying to have fun with the random drunk asshole thrown in. Come here with a $100 gift card I have had since just before Covid begun and everything closed down. We decided to get a light bite to eat, a couple drinks, and a game card. My husband and I have a long time highly competitive air hockey battle going so we were primarily looking forward to playing that. The bruchetta we got was pretty good but the drinks were sooooo sweet and very weak dispute the server telling us they were "surprisingly strong". After we ate we headed to the air hockey table which was occupied so we pivoted and played the connect four basketball game which was alright. Once we got to the air hockey table we instantly agreed it was a very low grade table. The table top is blue Vs the standard white. It's supposed to look "cool" I guess but it made it harder to see the puck. Also the air pressure was so weak the puck didn't surf like it should and would often just get stuck in one spot and stop. This certainly made for a new obstacle but it wasn't what we were looking forward to. I think what really did it for me was the restrooms. The walls in the restroom were disgusting and the rest wasn't much better. Many of the stalls didn't have locks or close all the way. The sink was totally busted and I felt even dirtier after washing my hands. I have worked in many restaurants and always felt the restrooms were a reflection of the kitchens. If they are unkept the kitchen likely is as well. After seeing this I was completely appalled. I won't be going back to this location and am skeptical to visit others as this was our first time going to any Dave and Busters. I wish it could have been different. read more

My Frustrating Experience at Dave & Buster's (April 25, 2025) 9333 Research Blvd Ste A600 Austin, TX 78759 On April 25, 2025, I went to Dave & Buster's with my son, who was visiting from Raleigh, North Carolina. We planned to watch the NFL Draft and later be joined by my nephew. We sat at the bar, and when our server asked if we wanted to order food, we told her we would wait for my nephew but agreed to order drinks. We ordered two Jameson Long Island Iced Teas, which were very good. As my nephew was running later than expected, we ordered two more drinks and then decided to place our food order. We both wanted the Cajun Shrimp Pasta but asked to substitute the shrimp with chicken. I asked the server, "Can we swap out the shrimp for chicken?" and she said, "Yes, but that would be an extra charge." I immediately said, "So you charge more money for chicken?" She paused and replied, "Let me go check." When she came back, she told us there would be no extra charge. But then she asked, "So you both want shrimp and chicken?" I responded, "No, and that would make sense for the extra charge, but we just want chicken." She laughed lightly and said, "You're right, that would be extra." When the food came out, one plate was made correctly, but the other had both shrimp and chicken. Both plates came with toast. Before we could send the incorrect plate back, my nephew, who had arrived by then, said he would take that one because he liked both chicken and shrimp. We let the server know about the mistake and made it clear that we did not want to be charged extra for it. At this point, my son and nephew began eating and both commented on how good the toast was. I was still waiting for my meal. A new server named Montrell came over, and he seemed polite at first. He made another round of drinks for us, which looked noticeably different from the first ones, but I let that go. When my plate finally arrived, I noticed right away that it did not come with toast, even though the other two plates did. So I asked Montrell, "Where's my toast?" His immediate response was, "That's going to cost you extra money." I asked him directly, "So are you telling me that we paid for toast on the other two meals?" He said, "Yes, because it doesn't come with toast -- that's $1.99 extra." At this point, I asked him to go get the lady who originally took our order because she never mentioned anything about toast costing extra. I watched as he spoke with her, and when he came back, he said, "No worries, we will take care of everything!" He then went to the back and, after about five minutes, returned to say, "I took care of their toast, and you will need to pay for yours." At that point, I was irritated. I said to him, "How the hell do you tell me in one breath that you'll be taking care of it, and then come back and say you're taking care of theirs and I have to pay for mine?" Montrell repeated, "It's because the toast doesn't come with the meal." I told him I didn't want him serving me anymore and asked him to get the manager. When the manager came over, I tried to explain the situation, but he interrupted me multiple times. He told me, "We didn't charge you extra for taking the shrimp off and replacing it with chicken because I approved that decision." He then said, "I'm the guy who said you have to pay for the toast." He also told me, "Don't hold anything against Montrell, because he was just following my instructions." I told him, "I don't want Montrell serving me because he doesn't know how to talk to people, and he doesn't understand what service is about." The manager again said, "It was my decision about the toast." At this point, I explained to him, "Do you know anything about service? You come over here and allow me to see that you're upset with your facial expressions. I didn't tell you to take this job. I didn't tell you to get into service. But service is about resolving a situation. It's about looking at what the restaurant did wrong. It's not about anything but asking yourself what part put us in this situation. You are not helping lead your people because you don't even understand service. An expectation has been set to a customer based off something y'all did, and now you won't take ownership. I don't want that kid helping me anymore, and you have failed at your job." His response was, "Well, you have a nice day," and he walked off. A few minutes later, Montrell came back over and asked, "Can I get y'all anything else?" I ignored him, and my son simply said, "Just bring us the check." This was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had at a restaurant. I left feeling completely disrespected, and even a week later, I am still upset about it. We spent $149.29 that night, and I feel like we received terrible service in return. The manager failed to handle the situation, and Montrell failed to communicate properly. Went to DB to celebrate my brother's birthday. My husband and I used to go to DB up in Dallas when we lived there and sadly, this Austin location is just not great. Bar service was terrible - our first bartender took 15 min to make us three cocktails (my brothers $14 cocktail didn't even fill half of the glass). We asked a different bartender what the happy hour specials were and were told a number of draft beers but then also told how the taps for 90% of them weren't working. The games out on the main floor also weren't the greatest (no buck hunter). Idk what their kids policy is but that Friday night there were at least 10 tweens running around chasing each other without an adult/guardian in site. They do have quite a few new VR games - these are fun but at a significant upcharge. Would be much easier if you could use tokens to play (even if the token amount is much higher). A lot of the basketball games were offline - just really annoying to have so many of their games broken. Overall, this is just not the vibe. Worst Dave & Buster's customer experience ever. After reaching Legend status (ie spending a lot of money here), I was one card shy of a complete Star Trek set. The card I needed literally fell after my last coin push. HOWEVER, because the computer "sensed" that the card fell AFTER my last coin push (and because computers are always right), the card that I needed fell into the unretrievable receptacle. After bringing this to the attention of management (ie arguing with entitled blonde haired, earring wearing manager "Chris"), he decided not to do the right thing, not assume positive intent, and not hand me that last card. Are you kidding? And that's not all - "Chris" (and the technician) had the nerves to call me a "cheater" (not once, but twice). A manager at a nationwide corporate establishment called ME, a weekly paying customer, a cheater(?!). Because the card fell into the "cheater's bin" (what they actually call it). "Chris" then offered to pull up the video to prove my cheating ways. When my friends and I said, "then pull up the video, "Chris" (with his two manager friends who sat on the sidelines watching this unfold, probably enjoying watching their junior manager sticking it to us)! Did we get to see the video evidence? NOPE. They chickened out. Again, I reached Level 9 at this location, accumulated over 150k in tickets, and "Chris" wouldn't do me that solid. I hope this moment of terrible customer service sits in this location's collective memory of every single manager forever. This Dave & Buster's is dead to me. Not coming here ever again. Thanks for ruining what was a fun night. PS. Dear Business Manager, If you've nothing better than suggest to me to reach out to D&B's guest services, don't bother - already did. Cedric the bartender was so friendly and sweet ! He is by far the best employee here!!!

The ambulance is a Sports bar so loud but super fun, with games and alcohol. The place was super packed due to the fight, and our waiter Eric was amazing, stayed clam under pressure, super friendly, checked on us often, and gave great drink recommendations. If you ever hear ask for him. You have to get the green tea drink. The wings here are really good. read more

I love the lighting, music and customer service at this location! Holly was very knowledgeable of the items and helped me settle on some of the best food I've had in a while. I appreciate her taking time to answer questions and make recommendations. I'd recommend this place to anyone visiting from out of town and staying in any of the hotels near this Dave and Busters location because it's a great welcoming environment. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER FROM THE MANAGER CHRIS IN THE GREEN SHIRT !! Yelling at kids to seat down was very disorganized and very rude! Our party was co-operating and listening but he still managed to be very disrespectful to us. This reminded me of my childhood, only instead of pockets full of tokens, I had a plastic card I could refill on my phone and tap against the reader of the game I was playing and start playing. If you are sensitive to loud noise, do not come here!! Tons upon tons of games all at max volume is deafening! You have to yell to talk to anyone. Just a warning. Other then the games: new, new versions of old games, and straight up my childhood games. They have some pretty good food! Expect to play $10-$15 per meal. I got the truffle fries that were good. But it was the sauces that really made the dish. If I had any suggestions, come prepared! Download the app and get signed in if you haven't already. If you already have a game card, fill up those credits. If not, grab one when you get there and add it to your app so that you can refill it, and get your tickets for playing the games. My expectations for this place were low since it's an arcade with food. This somehow was so far below what I expected. It took us literally 30 minutes to get water. Our food came before we got water. The whole experience lasted almost 2 hours. I ordered a drink and they gave it to the wrong table after waiting for an additional 20 minutes. The games are overpriced, but we used to like going here because it was in between me and family. We then talked to the GM and he refunded us $2 for ranch we never got and suggested we don't tip the waitress next time. That's it????? Avoid this place. read more

This review comes after a few visits here. We had our daughters birthday party here...we came for some adult hang out time..and this time we came just on a whim. The good...each time we have come it's never over crowded...thats a plus...for those concerned about touching the games and controllers..there are hand sanitation stations around .....but all in all it's a solid place to have a good time The food - pretty decent bar food.. albeit totally reduced..I'm sure that's due to covid...but what once was a book..is now a 2 page menu...would be nice to see it rotate The environment- the place is kept clean and the staff are attentive....I do wish they had a better process for those that are playing games and having cocktails...takes quite a while to get a drink. i can't believe it's taken me so long to come here... i have been missing out on so much fun. first off, dave & busters not only serves so much fun activities in their countless machine games, but their food and drinks are also amazing!! i love this north austin location because they have ample parking and spacious dining & gaming. the staff was super friendly and gave us the rundown on how to get tokens// where to order. my boyfriend and i ended up getting like 135 tokens each and we played countless of games. we ended up refilling it again because it was just too much fun. nobody was really hogging the games and we got to play all of the ones we wanted. in between gaming, we decide to take a break and grab some food and drinks. we weren't that hungry so we had their parmesan truffle fries!! they were phenomenal and their spicy sauce paired very nicely. my boyfriend had one of their specialty pinches and i had a frozen rose! let me tell u, they are STRONG! but so good. i finished up mine so quickly and the gave me a cup of wine as well! after eating, we kept playing and we were there for almost three hours. had a total blast! yes it was a little pricy but honestly it was such a fun experience! i will be coming back again. read more

This was my first time visiting since before the pandemic and we had a nice time. Our food came out quickly, the drinks were great and activities were fun and had no wait time. Honestly not sure why it took me so long to come here but I'm pleasantly surprised. First we had dinner & I have to say, we absolutely demolished our plates. The food was so good & came out pretty quick! I got the Salmon & my boyfriend got the manchego chicken with mash potatoes instead of long beans. They were both great!! We also tried the Caribbean Long Island, which tasted great but a little sweet for me. The games were fun. It was busy but I feel like I got to play almost every game that I wanted to. I recommend getting the $100 value if you are playing with a partner. I definitely got more bang for my buck on that one! I definitely will be returning.
