Always a fun experience at Dave & Busters! My go to place for discounted Wednesday fun (half price games)! I've tried several food options and haven't been impressed so I'd recommend skipping the meal and head straight for the games. Drinks there are always good however, my favorite is the blackberry margarita! Staff is always helpful which i appreciate and Wednesday crowd is minimal so you're never waiting to long to play your favorite games.

Dave & Buster's is always a fun place to visit with family, friends or even date nights. Such a variety of games for everyone and age to enjoy. I especially like the basketball shooting games, have to show off these skills you know! Upon entering I was greeted by 2 staff members, that is always a plus and welcoming feeling. Nice full bar and tons of different sections to sit. I ordered a flatbread pizza with extra pepperoni, parmesan fries and for the drink I had a few Long Island ice teas. The pizza wasn't that great, a very doughy texture taste. The fries were yummy! Very tasty and well prepared. The Long Island ice teas were also very good however, I ordered a Jell-O shot ($3 each) but it had absolutely no hint of alcohol in it. When I mentioned it to the bartender she explained that they do have alcohol but they are also pre made. Either way it was a nice experience, I played a few more games before I headed out. I enjoyed my experience and will be returning

Dave and Buster's, a place to go when the weather is cold, wet and rainy outside and you still want to get some fun times out and about, with loud music, decent food and some sips while your kids deplete you of funds. I do love their weekday happy hour offerings, a glass of house wine, a margarita for $5? In this economy? Heck yea! Also, I was convinced by D&B's first campaign to snag the Winter Pass platinum level, where each week we get 2k tickets, $5 weekly credit off our bill and 30% off all food and drink spend, what?! I often take my kiddo out on mom and son day dates on Sunday and it's such a blast being able to get a good meal and fun with him without worrying about breaking the bank. The staff we've interacted with from the winners circle for prizes redemption to the bartenders and table service have always been extra friendly, attentive and swift in getting our food and drinks out, even if it's a big crowd, they know how to keep at it. I appreciate this north location and the hospitality, and cleanliness of a place with plenty of high touch places, thank you for solid safe entertainment!

I would never expect a 5 star experience at a Dave & Buster's but the service for restaurant here was pretty bad. PRICING: We paid $82.45 after tax for two of the "Eat & Play Combo" options with a $35 play card ($39.99 each). You get to choose one of the entrees from the 6 options they have and it includes a refillable fountain drink or unflavored tea. CLEANLINESS: The play area and bathrooms were clean overall. No major complaints. In the restaurant, the cushion on our booth was incredibly tattered and worn. SERVICE: Our server, Cedric, was actually great! He was friendly, made sure we had drink refills throughout the meal, and did his best to take our order and get food out to us quickly. It wasn't his fault but the kitchen brought out the burger and then we had to wait over 10 minutes for the boneless wings to come out. The burger and fries were basically cold by the time the other entree came out and we could both eat at the same time. ALL-AMERICAN SMASHED BURGER ( 7/10) - I was actually pleasantly surprised by this burger! The bun was toasted nicely, the burger patties had tons of flavor, and the toppings were all fresh. The fries were okay. BONELESS WINGS (6/10) - These were fine... you get 10 boneless wings tossed in a sauce of your choice with ranch or bleu cheese and a few celery sticks plus a side of fries. The garlic parmesan sauce had good flavor and the chicken pieces were cooked well. Again, the fries are just okay. We came for a fun afternoon of some competitive games and cheap eats and that's what we got. A majority of the games worked and we had fun playing the Connect 4 basketball, Hot Shot, and a few of the other sports related games. I wouldn't necessarily recommend Dave & Busters to others unless you know what you're getting yourself into... there will be a bunch of kids running around, it's going to be loud, and the food is going to be mediocre. But, if you want to have some fun playing some games, it'll get the job done!

Manu is paper sticky wet to the touch had to ask for new ones . Not very vegan friendly but had to take the salad apart. Man server came to the table chewing gum and his mouth moving fast as he putted his fingers on the dish and to close to the food , . Can't read the name tag easy and the lady didn't know the name of the water and she was rolling her eyes as she was taking the drinks and food choices. So the salad I got came in wrong and the manager had seen that I was upset and salad had to be taken away. Manager said the male who served is he said was going home but he was serving us min later so that was a lie . The lady lied about the dressing and I asked her for the dressing choices and she started saying she only worked here for 3 week . And started talking with her hands like that's going to help . Then chips and cheese was ordered and she did said they had it then the manager said they don't have it . Can't get good service today . Stake was uncooked. Order cilantro but got a bowl of old and new arugula and I didn't want that . Horrible that they can't Lisen to the choices . They need to stop lies bc he said they would take off the food they didn't fix and that didn't happen and they need more training .

Food was delicious (I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta) and drinks were perfect! $5 late night happy hour was a blast. Lots of games to choose from. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure to let us know they have a late night happy hour, as well as ensuring our food was perfect and our cups were never empty. Lots of people smiling and playing games! Very family friendly. Lots of TVs on the walls.

We also have fun here, we don't come often but that makes it better for us, we don't get burned out. We enjoy the food and the games, this time was on a relaxation weekend we needed and had some fun picking several game to have a friendly competition with to see who would pick prizes in the winners lounge. We tried dodgeball but it started before Shana could swipe the card so we each played a game and didn't compete as we didn't realize what happened until after the game. Then electronic ax throwing which I couldn't stop flicking my wrist and screwing up so she did way better and won. We had a Fruit Ninja battle in which Shana treated the bombs like they were real and flinched from them. On to a staple with Connect 4 basketball which she had a rare win on leading to mega drop and a hot wheels racing coin collecting game. She won the majority but it was fun. We tried a fishing game that turned out to be a ton of fun but that was after the battle and didn't count but due to a shark I caught which gets you a bonus but doesn't count towards your fish total I lost!!! The food was good as usual. The drinks are always fun and we try new stuff pretty much every time we visit, this visit had Shana try a drink with strawberry infused Ice cubes. Very cool. The staff was friendly except the guy working the winner circle/ticket prize area. He was not rude but just didn't give a rat's ass. I get it, I don't want to be at my job either and most likely your job is awful and underpaid. But you are dealing with kids and people trying to have fun with the random drunk asshole thrown in. It is tough but try and be polite to the people who are being nice to you. I have been there, but it is what it is and you can do better.

My Frustrating Experience at Dave & Buster's (April 25, 2025) 9333 Research Blvd Ste A600 Austin, TX 78759 On April 25, 2025, I went to Dave & Buster's with my son, who was visiting from Raleigh, North Carolina. We planned to watch the NFL Draft and later be joined by my nephew. We sat at the bar, and when our server asked if we wanted to order food, we told her we would wait for my nephew but agreed to order drinks. We ordered two Jameson Long Island Iced Teas, which were very good. As my nephew was running later than expected, we ordered two more drinks and then decided to place our food order. We both wanted the Cajun Shrimp Pasta but asked to substitute the shrimp with chicken. I asked the server, "Can we swap out the shrimp for chicken?" and she said, "Yes, but that would be an extra charge." I immediately said, "So you charge more money for chicken?" She paused and replied, "Let me go check." When she came back, she told us there would be no extra charge. But then she asked, "So you both want shrimp and chicken?" I responded, "No, and that would make sense for the extra charge, but we just want chicken." She laughed lightly and said, "You're right, that would be extra." When the food came out, one plate was made correctly, but the other had both shrimp and chicken. Both plates came with toast. Before we could send the incorrect plate back, my nephew, who had arrived by then, said he would take that one because he liked both chicken and shrimp. We let the server know about the mistake and made it clear that we did not want to be charged extra for it. At this point, my son and nephew began eating and both commented on how good the toast was. I was still waiting for my meal. A new server named Montrell came over, and he seemed polite at first. He made another round of drinks for us, which looked noticeably different from the first ones, but I let that go. When my plate finally arrived, I noticed right away that it did not come with toast, even though the other two plates did. So I asked Montrell, "Where's my toast?" His immediate response was, "That's going to cost you extra money." I asked him directly, "So are you telling me that we paid for toast on the other two meals?" He said, "Yes, because it doesn't come with toast -- that's $1.99 extra." At this point, I asked him to go get the lady who originally took our order because she never mentioned anything about toast costing extra. I watched as he spoke with her, and when he came back, he said, "No worries, we will take care of everything!" He then went to the back and, after about five minutes, returned to say, "I took care of their toast, and you will need to pay for yours." At that point, I was irritated. I said to him, "How the hell do you tell me in one breath that you'll be taking care of it, and then come back and say you're taking care of theirs and I have to pay for mine?" Montrell repeated, "It's because the toast doesn't come with the meal." I told him I didn't want him serving me anymore and asked him to get the manager. When the manager came over, I tried to explain the situation, but he interrupted me multiple times. He told me, "We didn't charge you extra for taking the shrimp off and replacing it with chicken because I approved that decision." He then said, "I'm the guy who said you have to pay for the toast." He also told me, "Don't hold anything against Montrell, because he was just following my instructions." I told him, "I don't want Montrell serving me because he doesn't know how to talk to people, and he doesn't understand what service is about." The manager again said, "It was my decision about the toast." At this point, I explained to him, "Do you know anything about service? You come over here and allow me to see that you're upset with your facial expressions. I didn't tell you to take this job. I didn't tell you to get into service. But service is about resolving a situation. It's about looking at what the restaurant did wrong. It's not about anything but asking yourself what part put us in this situation. You are not helping lead your people because you don't even understand service. An expectation has been set to a customer based off something y'all did, and now you won't take ownership. I don't want that kid helping me anymore, and you have failed at your job." His response was, "Well, you have a nice day," and he walked off. A few minutes later, Montrell came back over and asked, "Can I get y'all anything else?" I ignored him, and my son simply said, "Just bring us the check." This was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had at a restaurant. I left feeling completely disrespected, and even a week later, I am still upset about it. We spent $149.29 that night, and I feel like we received terrible service in return. The manager failed to handle the situation, and Montrell failed to communicate properly. Both could benefit from serious training on customer service. One week later and I'm still pissed!

Amazing food especially for an arcade. The chicken sandwich is a must. Service is okay it's usually busy so they can be slow but not their fault. The ambiance is very loud but it is a sports bar so that's to be expected.

Come here with a $100 gift card I have had since just before Covid begun and everything closed down. We decided to get a light bite to eat, a couple drinks, and a game card. My husband and I have a long time highly competitive air hockey battle going so we were primarily looking forward to playing that. The bruchetta we got was pretty good but the drinks were sooooo sweet and very weak dispute the server telling us they were "surprisingly strong". After we ate we headed to the air hockey table which was occupied so we pivoted and played the connect four basketball game which was alright. Once we got to the air hockey table we instantly agreed it was a very low grade table. The table top is blue Vs the standard white. It's supposed to look "cool" I guess but it made it harder to see the puck. Also the air pressure was so weak the puck didn't surf like it should and would often just get stuck in one spot and stop. This certainly made for a new obstacle but it wasn't what we were looking forward to. I think what really did it for me was the restrooms. The walls in the restroom were disgusting and the rest wasn't much better. Many of the stalls didn't have locks or close all the way. The sink was totally busted and I felt even dirtier after washing my hands. I have worked in many restaurants and always felt the restrooms were a reflection of the kitchens. If they are unkept the kitchen likely is as well. After seeing this I was completely appalled. I won't be going back to this location and am skeptical to visit others as this was our first time going to any Dave and Busters. I wish it could have been different.

VR game ($6 per person per play)

Went to DB to celebrate my brother's birthday. My husband and I used to go to DB up in Dallas when we lived there and sadly, this Austin location is just not great. Bar service was terrible - our first bartender took 15 min to make us three cocktails (my brothers $14 cocktail didn't even fill half of the glass). We asked a different bartender what the happy hour specials were and were told a number of draft beers but then also told how the taps for 90% of them weren't working. The games out on the main floor also weren't the greatest (no buck hunter). Idk what their kids policy is but that Friday night there were at least 10 tweens running around chasing each other without an adult/guardian in site. They do have quite a few new VR games - these are fun but at a significant upcharge. Would be much easier if you could use tokens to play (even if the token amount is much higher). A lot of the basketball games were offline - just really annoying to have so many of their games broken. Overall, this is just not the vibe. It doesn't have the game variety you'd expect and the drinks/service are just way sub-par.

    Best server ever!

For reasons that make no sense to any experienced summer festival-goer, the Q2 powers-that-be decided to make this a "no re-entry" event, meaning that attendees are basically locked in the stadium with very few options for relief from the heat. Thank heaven for PointsBet Sports Bar! PointsBet Austin is located inside of Q2 stadium on the north end near the Zebra Gate, up some stairs just to your right as you enter the gate. They have cold air-conditioning, at least one phone recharging station, a few table games, seating for at least 50 people, and standing room for a couple hundred others. Plus, there's a huge horseshoe bar serving plenty of canned and mixed beverages. The whole north wall is floor-to-ceiling windows, providing plenty of natural light. Lastly, there are 18 flatscreens around the walls showing various sporting events and during our concert, a couple were streaming a live view of the concert stage. As expected, prices were "high" (like everything else in Austin these days), but they were in line with pricing available at the other beverage stands outside in the stadium, so we didn't pay any more than we would have out there for the same drink. According to their website, PointsBet opens 3 hours before soccer matches on regular Q2 game days, and it's one of the few air-conditioned places where non-VIP attendees can get a break from the goings-on outside.

It wasn't too busy so it was a great place to pregame inside. That turned out to be a good idea since shortly after getting my Karbach Ranch Water, it started to pour outside. I was surprised to find a little gift/souvenir shop when I walked in, but quickly realizing the party's behind the second set of doors! They have covered and uncovered seating options and several TV screens. Not all of them were on, so I wonder what situation would call for all of them to be on.... The food ordering is through a QR code sticker on each table. When we went, they had a cute fall display for photo ops and a photo booth that is more permanent. I ordered the brisket & egg biscuit as well as the sweet potato fries. Didn't finish the fries but they were decently good even a little soggy! They also were super generous with the number of ketchup packets - I got 3 but only used 1. My only comment is that the bathroom was not the best, but it's definitely miles ahead a porta potty! Also shocked at how small the bathroom was, given how large crowds can get on game days (of all sports).

Technically, I'd give this a 4.5/5 for the elevated airport prices, but you're sort of a captive audience and I have to give credit to AUS for at least including local brands, even when they some are tweaked a little bit to be included. (I'm looking at you, 24 Diner's less-anchovy-y airport caesars.) There's not really anything to change about beer, thank goodness. This stand has Austin Beerworks' beer, which is some damn good beer. I wish ABW had a distribution deal in the northeast so I could continue drinking it at my new house. Service at the Beerdrop is usually friendly and just the right amount of attentive--friendly if you're bored, hands-off if you've got a laptop out. One bartender on a slow day even checked on my order at the other food hall counter for me, which was rad. There's a full bar with non-beer options, too, although I've only ever been there for the beer. It can get a little loud and crowded if the wider food hall's busy, but unless you're hitting at peak food o'clock, it's pretty laid-back in there.

I ordered a 14-ounce serving of Fire Eagle IPA (for $11.49)--which is very good. The bartender suggested to instead order the 20-ounce serving for $1.50 more ($0.65 per ounce rather than $0.82). However, I was trying to spare some room in my stomach for a subsequent crawl to Hippies & Hops (featuring local beers from Live Oak Brewing). I lucked out on the timing, to watch an NFL playoff game during my visit here. It was surprising that other patrons at the bar were mostly drinking beers other than the local beers that this bar showcases; or alcoholic beverages other than beer. I like the easygoing atmosphere here, where it is easy to socialize with the bartenders and patrons.

It is a sports bar It has a million attractive wonderful aspects. It has a million pain in the neck aspects. Everything is a good news bad news joke. But the good news is pretty good. * * * I ran into the bad news right upon entering the restaurant. There was not a comfortable table to sit at anywhere in the restaurant except at the bar. Benches were so low that it was like being a four year old at the grown up table. I would have needed a telephone book to reach the table. Regular chairs don't face the TV so you have to crane your neck to see the sports. Comfortable curved sofa benches exist, but they are 500 miles from the TV. So I tried seat after seat after seat before ending up at the bar. The bar was okay. * * * The bar choices are ample and slim. There were surprisingly thin offerings on beer. There were WONDERFUL listings on bourbon and rye. I am a rye drinker, so I was in hog heaven. The tequila listings were pretty good too. Gin drinkers, scotch drinkers and vodka drinkers were just going to have to take what was available. The cocktail menu was about average. I was in a golden cloud of glory with all my choices. Angel's Envy Rye is first rate libation that is simultaneously fiercely peppery and sublimely smooth. Rough on the taste means usually means rough going down. This was BDSM with the grace of a feather. I was in love. * * * Chile con carne was a beautiful chili with brisket rather than the usual hamburger. Flavoring was superb. The brisket chunks were three times as big as you would comfortably want to put in your mouth all at once. You don't want to take a fork and knife to a bowlful of chili. So I was struggling to eat my meat all night while at the same time admiring the quality of the recipe. Cover 3 Kitchen Preppers: How much extra work is it really to cut your meat into manageablely sized pieces? * * * Garlic Mashed Potatoes had a picture of garlic walked in front of the potatoes while they were boiling. Garlic? What garlic? The handful of mouthfuls with butter were good. The rest was empty starch. * * * The human beings working the bar were fantastic. Two of the nicest and most helpful ladies working in the bartending trade. Good people count for a lot in a restaurant. * * * The sports televisions were great. Watching Duke eke out a one point win over Louisville in women's basketball was good times. * * * Then comes the dessert. Dark clouds. The brownie with three scoops of ice cream, candied pecans, and caramel sauce tasted fantastic. It was an irresistible end to a meal. But brownies should really really not be the size of a big box store. Remember from English class - "Enough! No More! Tis not so sweet now as it was before." The brownie was three to five times the size of a regular brownie - and this was before all the extra stuff was put on top of it. It was super rich and super good the way brownies are supposed to be. It was gooey the way super brownies are supposed to be. But the only human being in history who could have managed that sucker was Diamond Jim Brady, the notorious glutton of the Gilded Age. (Four T-bone steaks, two ducks, a half a dozen lobsters, three dozen oysters, two pounds of candy and an entire pastry tray were a normal dinner for him. He could go for more if there were special treats.) I went from being happy and in a good mood to being a little full, then more than full, then Jesus-Christ-I-Can't-Stand-It-Anymore. I left half of that brownie on my plate, and left Cover 3 nauseated and staggering. Not the way you want to end an otherwise fine evening. * * * Cover 3 has its definite attractions - even if you have to put up with the chairs. Bourbon and rye drinkers, take especial note. If you are going to have dessert, Bring a Sunday School bus full of second graders with you. One dessert will be enough to feed the bus.

I pulled up thinking I was just grabbing a little happy hour snack, and suddenly I'm knee-deep in plates like I'm at an all-you-can-eat taste-test sponsored by destiny. Happy hour food? We ordered everything. Literally. If it was on the happy hour menu, we said "yes." If there was a button that said "Are you sure?" we hit "confirm" without reading the terms and conditions. No regrets. Happy hour drinks? Dangerous. Delicious. Deceptively smooth. One more and I would've started singing along to the music videos like I was auditioning for a comeback tour nobody asked for. And speaking of music-- The vibe was straight fire. They were blasting 80s and 90s hits with the actual music videos playing, and I swear for a second I forgot where I was. I thought I was in a time machine, or at least in some kind of retro-themed VIP lounge where everyone has good taste. The nostalgia was hitting harder than the cocktails. The decor? Chef's kiss. It's giving "classy with personality," like the place knows it looks good but doesn't need to brag about it. Service? Perfect. Impeccable. Smooth like they rehearsed it. Savannah and Silvana were fantastic -- professional, friendly, zero stress, and somehow always there with exactly what we needed without hovering like a drone. Ten out of ten humans. The wild part? They have a huge menu. Like, "bring reading glasses" huge. But I didn't even make it past happy hour because that table turned into a small culinary battlefield and I was happily losing. I'm almost embarrassed it took me this long to discover this spot. This place is a hidden gem, and I'm already planning my return like it's a sequel
