I actually hired her not long before my due date and she was able to accommodate me which I am so grateful for. I was really bummed because my whole birthing experience was completely opposite of what I had on my birthplan! I went 9 days past my due date and was in the hospital for 36 hours before the arrival of my son. Kristie was amazing with her communication. I felt bad since we had to keep giving her the run around about when to show up at the hospital, but she kept up with connecting with my family to ensure she was there to capture the moment. After telling Kristie multiple times to hold off heading to the hospital, my doctor ordered a C-section and the baby would arrive in less than an hour! Everything was such a blur and went by so fast, so I am SO glad I decided to get birthing photos. Kristie was able to rush over and get there just in time to capture the most beautiful, candid, poignant moments... even though I had a C-section! The pictures came out so lovely, and she even made a sweet little video which she posted pretty immediately on Facebook. Every time I look at the pictures I can't help but cry. My only regret is I didn't get to spend hardly any time getting to know her since she was busy doing her thing, but I am excited to work with Kristie again to capture some more precious photos of my son as he grows. We have hosted one party here and attended at least half a dozen and Michelle always hits it out of…read morethe park for these littles. They make it so easy for the parents and the kids by having everything there. No need to bring decorations, drinks, snacks, anything other than cake. Michelle and her staff help the girls pick out their dresses, paint their nails while they secretly interview them then the girls will put on a fashion show for the crowd. Then the kids have a little tea party with goldfish and cake all while being treated as a princess. Depending on the package the kids may make a stuffed animal. We have a couple cats, a few unicorns and even a lamb I think and the girls cherish each of them. Hoping to sneak at least one more party in here before my girls grow out of this stage.

We celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday today with a unicorn princess party and my daughter and seven friends had a blast! Michelle clearly loves her job and goes above and beyond to make sure each guest has a lovely experience. The venue is decorated with adorable signs and glitter and bling- all of our girls fell in love with the dress up clothes and accessories. Michelle manages to teach her party guests about manners and friendship and confidence throughout the entire event. Our girls got to pick out a fancy princess dress complete with shoes and accessories and were treated to having their nails painted and some makeup applied. She also sprinkled our girls with glitter at the princess power statement ceremony and the girls got to have a fashion show. Each girl also got to stuff a unicorn toy as the party favor for the princess unicorn party. Michelle's speech about friendship had my adult guests tearing up- it was so beautiful to hear her encourage the girls to enjoy and appreciate their friends and to be a good friend and value the unique characteristics of each of your friends. We also celebrated my older daughter's birthday here years ago and the party was also a huge success. I highly recommend My Party Palace- Michelle has lots of options for a wide range of ages and even offers special events and summer camps. In addition, Michelle is very generous and donates every year to schools and non-profits in our community.

My husband and I have 4 dogs (that we spoil like they are our children) and we instantly felt comfortable sending our elderly dog (along with some props) with Krista for the morning. A few hours later Krista returned our extremely happy Ella after visiting downtown Austin, the green belt and wildflower fields. A few hours later, Krista gave us a sneak peak of some of the unedited photos. As soon as we saw how talented she is we asked her to book us to take more pics of our other dogs. Today Krista dropped off Ella's hardback book, and wow!!!! She truly captured her young-at-heart spirit. I'm not sure how she got so much energy and variety of facial expression in one morning from our girl, but I could not be happier with the quality of the pictures and the book! For our second session we asked Krista to take pictures of our two American Bulldogs at our house. Taking pictures of these two children is no simple task... One is a 17 month old female, 95lbs and in heat....and the other is 22 month old male and 85lbs... We got to watch Krista in action with our pups and she truly is some kind of dog-whisperer! We can't wait to see the results! Extremely professional, high quality pictures, high quality ( and not flimsy) photo book, well worth the money. Krista took my dog Franklin out for a photo adventure and I couldn't recommend her enough!! I…read moreseriously believe she is a dog whisperer!! I don't know how she did it but WOW! My dog is friendly senior dog and I consider him a bolter (not so good off leash)but she was able to take him out and get him to obey her commands which resulted in AMAZING photos!!! They were gone for the entire morning and when he came back he was a happy camper. It's like taking your dog to doggy daycare and getting great pictures in return that'll last a life time.
