Hands down best birthday experience we've ever had! I thought it would be smart to schedule both of my kids bday parties at the same time. Big mistake lol, but luckily I didn't have to worry one bit about my sons party. I was shocked, they showed up with the truck early, they had canopies, chairs, yard games... I couldn't e believe it. Everything was so clean, we had zero tech issues and the kids were begging for the truck to come back before it even pulled out. I even got emails after the party with pictures from them. I nearly cried as I looked at them since I was so busy I was unable to get any. Huge thank you, 5 stars and 100 high 5's!!

I utilized Metaverse Game Truck for my son's birthday party. Travis & Stacy provided excellent 5-star service from our initial contact, scheduling, pre-event reminders & the day of the party. They showed up an hour in advance as promised & was set up before the party started. They took care of everything so I was able to concentrate on the other aspects of the party. I love that they have a variety of gaming options & can even limit game availability based on age appropriateness. We'll definitely be using them again for future parties.

They made our event memorable and everyone at our was extremely happy with the way they engaged our kids.Kids absolutely loved it. Great experience and awesome duo made our event so happening.

The Metaverse Game Truck is such a fun experience! Travis and Stacy are wonderful hosts and provided an amazing time for everyone. They come with all the chairs, tables, canopies too! The truck itself is so cool - hundreds of fun games in a very clean, comfortable environment. I highly recommend for anyone wanting a gaming event!

Metaverse provided chairs, a tent and tables for setup.

If you're wondering which game truck company to choose in Austin... this is it! Book Metaverse Game Truck with Travis and Stacy. I had booked a party with a different company and the other company cancelled on me the night before my son's birthday party. Metaverse happened to have a rare opening and they saved the day with a MUCH better party truck and first class professionalism. Thank you! Travis and Stacy hosted the party and are both personable, helpful and fun. Their truck is an amazing setup unlike anything you've ever seen... truly above and beyond what the other companies offer. I'm grateful I accidentally ended up booking with Metaverse.

Best birthday ever!

We had the best time with this game truck for my sons 8th birthday! It was fun for both the kids and adults. The owners were very pleasant to work with as well. They were very attentive to all the kids and even took pictures of the party, which I was very thankful for because I didn't get very many. Will definitely use the game truck again!

We had our son's 9th birthday party with metaverse and it was even better than we expected! They came early to make sure the inside of the truck was cooled off and that everything was setup before guests arrived. They supplied the canopies, all of the chairs, two folding tables for our food and large fans to keep the kids cool. They also stayed inside and outside of the truck and ran all of the games while helping kids with any questions or needs. Finally, they took pictures throughout the event and shared all of them via Dropbox the morning after. We could not be happier with how the party went. My other son has already said we'll be doing this for his birthday in January :)

Rented this truck for a 10-year old birthday party and it was completely worth it. Took away all of the hassle of entertaining kids (and adults) and allowed me to simply enjoy the party. The games and tech were way beyond expectations and the service was spectacular. Will definitely rent again!

Rented the Metaverse game truck for my son's 12th birthday. This game truck is awesome. VR headsets inside, all the video game platforms to be played outside. The owner and his wife were the nicest people. They handled everything, made sure to rotate the boys between the inside and outside games so that they all had equal playing time. Communication before the event was great. They showed up 30 minutes before the party to set up, when the kids showed up, they were able to start playing immediately All emails were answered timely. I was able to just sit back and enjoy the party, taking photos. The handled everything. Easiest party I have ever thrown. Each kid left saying they had the best time. My other son has a birthday in June and Metaverse game truck is what he is asking for. I highly recommend this business.

Sunday marked a great one year with my current girlfriend and someone who means a lot to me. We had…read moreall these ideas on how to celebrate and spend time together, but the weather in the forecast really killed any ability to plan an outside adventure. Luckily, I had an ace up my sleeve and called an audible by suggesting the new Stranger Things: Catalyst experience at Sandbox VR. My girlfriend is a huge Stranger Things fan. It's one of the first shows she was following from the first season until the finale that she got to be a part of the zeitgeist with. The moment I suggested this, any other plan went out the window because to her, this was a must. This was not my first experience with a VR attraction. I got to try The Void when it was still in business at Disney Springs doing a Star Wars experience, and I remember having such a blast with it. This was my girlfriend's first time in a virtual reality space like this. Sandbox VR is the modern, surviving version of this doing a similar concept of suiting you up in a crazy VR suit with a headset, headphones, and a bunch of other bells and whistles before you enter a new world. The one thing that is different is that The Void had you walking through their space in their experience while here you're set in a box for the most part. Sandbox VR keeps you in one space for the entire duration and plays it out like a rail shooter arcade game. Different concepts, but both highly enjoyable. The staff were helpful in making sure we were all suited up and ready to go and we had our pictures taken right before they put us into the room. Once we had our headsets on, the experience started immediately. What's so fascinating about an experience like this is how immediate your brain just tells you that this is reality. You just believe what you're seeing is real. The avatar of my girlfriend is moving in real time, the catalyst is a tangible object I am holding. I am a Stranger Thing or whatever they call it. From the get-go, you are given a brief tutorial as a training and then suddenly the game goes from 0 to 100 and ramps up expeditiously. My girlfriend was hootin' and hollerin' the whole time as demogorgons (and democreatures as she calls them) were flying up on us and attacking us. You're genuinely in panic as these things get close to you. The anxiety feels real. The audio, the visuals, and everything in between just gets you immersed in it. The experience lasted about 30 minutes and by the end I was sweating profusely. I'm in pretty decent shape, but I was an absolute mess by the end. After all the equipment was taken off, we got sat next to a TV to show us our scores to see who leaves with bragging rights and is crowned the MVP (it was me by the way). On top of that, you are shown three videos of the VR experience that are recorded during your play. It scenes from the virtual world with a real camera that's pointed at you acting like a fool. Here, we got a dance scene from the end of the experience, a vertical video, and a horizontal trailer. Each were extremely humorous and given to us free of charge with our purchases. I know it works as free advertising for Sandbox VR to give you those videos to post online and all that jazz, but places like this still seem to charge for the memories. To get them included for free as a little keepsake is an incredible gesture and makes me want to try another experience. As for the videos themselves, they are still frying me, and I've watched them numerous times since the experience. If you are a Stranger Things fan, the Catalyst is a must-try. For someone who's only seen 3 episodes but has a good understanding of the show through osmosis from my girlfriend, I had a blast. Even if you're not a Stranger Things fan, there are 10 other experiences to try. The price with everything considered was pretty fair, and we truly had so much fun that I think it was worth it with what value we got out of it. The 20 second video we got of my girlfriend screaming the entire time might get played at our wedding one day. Who knows! RIYL: An experience out of this world

During this visit to Pinstack we got food, played games and did some bowling. The bowling was fun but it's bowling so you should know what to expect. The food was half and half. The Mac and Cheese balls were super super good and my wife and I gobbled those up quick. The fries however, not that great. It's supposed to be "cheese fries" but in actuality it was just a bunch of fries with a small amount of shredded cheese and some sour cream on top. The games were fun but it does cost a lot of points per game to do anything. If you're gonna get a small amount of game credits on your play card, like 20 for example, you'll run out of points quick. I would like to come back again for bowling but I won't rush out the door to come back. I'd say if you're coming here for the first time, get a good amount of credits on your game card or just do bowling. Food is up to you since we only tried 2 appetizers I can't comment too much on it.

We had an amazing time playing all the games, some even multiple times. $25 gets you 125 chips and each game is usually around 7-10 chips with the VR or car rides being a little more. The servers all seemed to be in a huge hurry though (even though dining area wasn't too busy) and most of the staff was standoffish with not one friendly smile and no one giving a clear answer when asked about the seating situation. We played games for 3.5 hrs and ate for an hour in total. They had a variety of games but quite a few of their machines, especially the shooting games, were not accurate or working. We also encountered an issue where they said they ended the all you can eat wings an hour early, so we had to pull up our ticket and read them the fine print. Luckily they honored it and let us order our wings. Each order came with 6 wings (bone in or boneless), about 2 celery sticks, a large ranch dipping sauce, and a wet wipe. We ate dinner late (around 9 PM) after playing games, so they only had naked, honey BBQ, and buffalo available. We got the honey BBQ, which was good at first, but then I got a tangy aftertaste that lingered on my tongue. We ordered naked boneless wings, but they brought us bone in for the first round. It was still good, but I did dip it in the ranch more. The second time they brought out the naked boneless wings, which were very crispy and better than the bone in ones. The wing quality reminds me of Wingstop, so they were all right. We also ordered two cocktails: Dangerous Waters Island Punch ($7) and Million Dollar 'Rita ($20.49). It was kind of suspicious they didn't put the drink prices on the menu but did for the food. Seems like they did that so they can charge whatever they want. The Dangerous Waters Island Punch tasted like there was no alcohol, was a bit sour, and quickly became watered down. The Million Dollar 'Rita tasted a bit better and had some alcohol but definitely not worth it.

The host that was hosting the party told us that there would be four sliders and wings with fries on the plate. When the food came out, there were only three sliders on the plate. We didn't mention anything because there were sliders ordered as one of the party foods for the party. We also told him that our food that we were ordering would be separate from the party tab. When he brought out the check, he mentioned that there would be an automatic 20% tip tacked onto the bill because it's a party. I informed him that the food was ordered separately from the party and that if I were to give him a 20% tip it would be because of the service and not because he is trying to force me to tip him what he thinks I should tip him. I thought that was unprofessional and it totally rubbed me wrong because had he not tried to force a specific tip on me, he would have gotten the 25% tip. Granted, the bill wasn't that much. One thing I absolutely hate is when I'm put in situations like this. Today, for me, it was the principle of everything. I tip what I want to tip and you don't tell me what you think I should tip. This is how people miss out on greater things by doing exactly what he did. Other than that, my kids had a blast and the birthday girl who hosted the birthday party had a great time as well.
