1st Birthday Party! Invited over family and neighbors... was a blast. All kids and parents loved it. Good way to also give something special back to all the families who took the time to come. Parents loved watching their kid have an opportunity to ride and have fun. Affordable. Owner Lynn and her assistant were on time, charged as agreed. Lynn is very fair. Didn't even request deposit. Takota's Ponies takes random requests and will make it even more magical than you can imagine! So here's our story. Back in March, our family happened to be watching the movie, The 3 Amigos. I had mentioned that would be a fun family costume. You see, every year our neighbors dress up for Halloween and compete against each other. It's one of our favorite parties of the year. However, this year I had been in a car accident and was not able to walk for 8 months. I casually mention to my husband..."oh my goodness, if I still can't walk, how amazing would it be to trick or treat on a horse!?" So he called a few places and then came across Takota's Ponies. Lynn, by far, was the most fun to talk to. She said she would not only make this happen, but all 3 of us would be able to ride! Fast forward to the date of the party. Lynn, her super friendly and fun crew and MANY horses show up to our house early and ready to go. They gave us choices in what ponies my youngest could chose from (as they were coming from another event and had a trailer full) and gave us time as a family to ride and get to know the horses. They took our pictures and gave us a memorable segue into our fun night. Once we walked down to the party, they stayed an allowed the guests to ride for over an hour. Today was my Nieces 3rd Birthday Party; and, since she is Pony crazy my Sister decided to throw her a Pony Party. They rented 2 Ponies and a small Horse from Takota's Ponies for an hour for only 170.00. Lynn brought the 3 Ponies to my Sister's house already saddled up. The Ponies were very gentle and all the kids loved them. One of the Ponies could hold up to 70 LB, the other 80 Lb and the small horse up to 135 LB. I had so much fun leading the Ponies with the Kiddos on them and even got to ride the Horse. And it was funny to watch Lynn run around the backyard so that Grand Pa would trot behind her:) - so cute. This was hands down the funnest kids party I have ever been to and would highly recommend them. FYI - It is not listed on the website but they do also offer trail rides for adults at 35.00/hour and 25.00 each additional hour. read more

Very disappointed in our experience. We booked our daughters party on site, for quite a bit of money. The owner told us we would have a working fridge, tables for food, and snow cone machine for our use. When we arrived, the two guys running the show new nothing about the snow cone machine or even where to get the tables. The fridge "had been on for hours" but wasn't cold at all & they were unable to get it cold. They finally went and bought ice an hour after our guest were already there so that they could have cold drinks.. One of the "helping hands" just kept quoting, there's a lot of miscommunication- however, when it came down to it they refused to do anything about the price & wanted to comment on "waving the ice charge" that they had to buy for not having a working fridge which I paid to use!! AND "waving the unicorn fee" which.. a unicorn?? Where? When did we agree on this? NEVER HAPPENED. The ponies are beautiful. And my girls enjoyed them. However, as a business- they presented themselves very poorly. The owner refused to even come down and speak to us and had us speak to his wife via the phone to which she told my husband they're will be no discounts & "next time she would have her happy ass there to accommodate him". I was so excited about this day.. but what a let down. read more

Great ponies for our event we needed multiple and they delivered and even brought a horse so the adults could ride! Super easy to work with.

These folks are awesome. First experience was pleasant at a pumpkin patch event but not enough seat time for my kiddo. Tracked them down and learned that riding time is available on their property. It's a bit on the north side but an easy drive. Plenty of ponies and lots of space. Recommend you bring the ponies snacks for extra attention. Lynn will take care of you if you take care of the ponies. Recommend for young and old that want seat and face time with ponies. read more

My 4 year old daughter is obsessed with My Little Pony, so we decided to throw her a My Little Pony themed 4th birthday party. OMGosh! Lynn and her miniature ponies showed up to the party and everyone LOVED them! All of the kiddos at the party loved, loved, loved riding the miniature ponies. Lynn, the owner, was also so fun and energetic and interacted very well with all of the guests of the party. Her miniature ponies are so sweet, gentle, fun, and just plain awesome. I can't even begin to describe what a magical experience Lynn gave my daughter on CHRISTMAS DAY! I thought I would be going out on a limb trying to find someone who would want or even be available during the holidays, especially Christmas, but she came to the rescue! She and an assistant came promptly at the time we discussed in festive costumes with a "unicorn" to surprise my daughter along with 2 other ponies for all the lil kiddos and even a horse for the adults to ride! Everyone had so much fun with our impromptu pony rides down the street in the neighborhood. We had the best cowboy/cowgirl themed party and the best part were the ponies from Takotas Ponies! She was wonderful and all the ponies were beautiful and gentle. I highly recommend Takota's Ponies for any horse lover. We had four Takota's ponies come over to our home in Central Austin for my 5-year-old's birthday and oh, what fun did we have! The ponies, actually one was a horse, are very tame and well behaved. They are well taken care of and extremely loved. The parents at the party had so much fun, too! We even got several parents to ride a horse. The pony handler, (Stefan), was extremely nice and is very knowledgeable. Lynn no showed the day of the party and then blamed it on a miscommunication, until I showed her a picture of our texts where she personally confirmed the correct date and time with me. When she called me she never apologized, then at 3am that night she sent me an apologetic text. Seems a strange hour of the night to be doing business???? I hate that this happened as I personally liked Lynn, but there's really no excuse for no showing a 6 year olds birthday party. There aren't redos for things like that. Last year we took our two-year-old daughter and one of her friends out to Takota's to ride, and they both had a blast. So, this year we hired Takota's Ponies for her third birthday party and it was fantastic. We had the party at a park, and the ponies were a big hit. Lynn showed up right on time and brought 4 ponies, one of which was bigger so some of the adults (including myself) got a ride. The ponies are super gentle and the kids got to ride as much as they wanted. I think one girl must have done 10 rides, ha. I have used Takotas ponies two years in a row. Last year Lynn brought three ponies and was extremely good with the children. I remembered how wonderful my experience was so this year I hired them again. They were so accommodating. It rained all morning. They gave me ability to cancel up to an hour before the party. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs a pony party. They are great with the kids and extreemly helpful and flexible with the parents. We had my daughter's 2nd birthday party at Takota's Ponies and it was fantastic! So many comments from all our guests that it was the best kid's party they'd ever been to. They supplied three ponies and one horse for endless rides throughout the party (since we held it onsite at their location).
