What an awesome experience!!! We drove down from Dallas to take my 16 year old son to do a one day course and it was one of the most exciting days ever. They have a really neat program to teach drivers the techniques for rally driving and it works. Wes and Scott were super and really focused on safety and having fun. Their program is focused on showing you what needs to be done, doing the skills, taking a break to let is soak in, and then doing it again. It's very well structured and by the end of the day they were doing the slalom course with a lot of confidence. As for the team, I didn't meet anyone at Rally Ready that wasn't outgoing, personable, and just plain nice. They love rallying, but are genuinely good people. It's not about pulling people in to stack the house, but about teaching a subject which they are passionate about. Well Andy and Aron are sick, and infected me with the need for speed. The rally experience was a blast. We got do three solo laps and by the end of them you think you're actually doing well and flying through the course. Then you get to sit passenger as one of the instructors flys through the course and you realize how slow you have been driving. I was doing school zone speeds when they're doing highway speeds. Just finished a two-day course here this past weekend. Perhaps the most bang-for-your-buck fun I've had anywhere. Dave, Rob and the rest of the instructors make the experience totally fun, enjoyable, and non-intimidating. It seems like an overwhelming amount of information to take on in such a short amount of time (and honestly they will be the first ones to tell you that it is), but the instructors are all super patient and fun and their attitude makes you want to just keep trying and trying again. It's like being told the way you know how to drive a car is completely wrong and you need to re-learn everything all at once...but it's a total blast while you're doing it. And honestly, even with all the great fun you'll have throwing around rally cars in the dirt, the best part for me what just the sense of camaraderie and community the people at RR have built there. I would honestly be just as happy going down there to hang out and talk with all the great guys and just chill out. The culture is so fun and inviting. Yes it's a little pricey, but it's totally worth saving up for the experience. (They do a great job on their site of explaining why it's worth it...and it is). I totally want to do it again and try some of their other class offerings sometime...but also just to spend time with a great group of people (and dogs!) Just remember though...the tomatoes are store-bought. :) read more

Awesome place to hold an event. I attended a corporate event at the Rally School in December and it was great. We had 1-day rally school, rally thrill rides, jeep adventures, CQC training with a Navy Seal, Archery and even mini motorcycle rides. All of us had an amazing time at the rally ranch. Highly recommend checking it out, if even to just take a class. I learned a ton about rally and how to apply the skills on dirt/gravel roads. I've put this to practice at home in the snow! read more

My husband and I did the Rally Experience where you get to drive 3 laps in one of their rally cars (Subaru WRX) and then go on a hot lap with one of the instructors. It was a BLAST! Neither of us have any racing or rally driving experience, but my husband loves Subarus and had heard this was a cool experience so figured why not try it out. There were 6 of us in our session and none of us had any experience with rally driving. The instructors were super chill and made everyone feel very comfortable. They take you around a lap first before you drive yourself. I drove the automatic car since I hadn't driven a manual in 15+ years, but one of the instructors patiently (re-)taught me how to use the manual on the fly and I got to try a lap in that car as well, which was definitely a confidence booster! The laps you drive are super fun, but the real fun is doing the hot lap with one of the instructors. Holy hell, that was one of the most fun, adrenaline packed experiences I've ever had!! They definitely make you feel like you can become a rally driver in no time!! Would 100% recommend this!!! read more

Just a burn-your-pants-off good time! Dave and his crew of skilled instructors bring tons of real-life racing experience to a racing school environment, and even though I've never raced cars before, they made the learning experience a total blast from start to finish. I did the 1-day class, and I really wish I'd done at least 2 days with them -- it was that good. But in one day I got tons of seat time learning and mastering the essential skills of off-road racing, with patient, experienced instructors in the seat next to me, in at least 5 different cars. Our class of 7 people had zero experience racing before, and we were all drifting through turns, flooring it through corners, power braking and kicking up rooster tails of dirt with huge grins plastered our faces the whole time! Highly recommend this incredibly professional team of racing teachers, who really stick with you to make sure you learn the skills and have a complete blast while you're doing it. I'll definitely be going back for more of this killer experience :) read more

My groomsmen and I went here to kick off the first day of our trip. It was an awesome experience from beginning to end. I sent a pretty open-ended email a few weeks prior saying what we were looking for, and Dave got back to me quickly w/ a perfect proposal, combining some driving and ride-along in UTVs. Very easy payment system too. When one of the guys wasn't going to be able to make it, RR was very flexible on the pricing change. Once we were there, they walked us through a straightforward training/guidelines, and cut us loose. The UTVs take some getting used to but felt really safe on the track and in the woods. The ride-along is insane (and inspiring)... At the end of the few hours we hung out with their dogs with some great memories and pictures. read more

My husband Carl and I took a day class with Dave when we were in TX in October. We had SO much fun! Dave is a great teacher - very patient, calm and gives clear, easy to understand instructions - but is also a great person. At the start of the day we knew what left foot breaking was and had seen videos showing fancy footwork by the professionals, but we had no hopes of really being able to do it very well in such a short time. But at the end of the day when we put into action all the skills we had just learned on the mini-rally course at the Ranch, we actually DID it! Went to work with Dave and the shredding crew for a 3 day course with 6 friends last weekend and it was amazing! At the start he demo'd some driving and all of us were like 'ummm...there is no way we will be doing that', but by the end of the first day we were sliding around and having a blast no problem! We were abusing those cars and tearing them apart but they were fixing them as fast as we were ripping off tires and bumpers. It was DIRTY and educational and most importantly super damn good times. My only complaint was the weather came in hard and rained out our 3rd day, but Dave said, 'well now you all got a day credit so come back and we'll have even more courses for you guys to shred.' He then took us off-roading in his jeep on a tour of his acres then launched us over a jump, (chainsaws and all) for his entertainment as much as ours. :) Needless to say, we will all be returning to Austin. read more

We have boy girl twins and we're dreading the thought of having to train them together as they are like a married couple that has been together a long time. So we got the idea of sending them to a driving school and we spent the next several months trying to find something super cool for them, have a ton of fun, and safely learn to truly drive a car in extreme situations. We searched high and low and contacted numerous places. We ultimately decided on Ralky Ready after all our research. Dave answered all our calls and questions and he was by far the easiest to work with. So we booked hotels and flights and decided to take the leap. Boy did Rally Ready hit the ball out of the park we could not have been more pleased. Dave and his Team exceeded our expectations and that of my kids by a mile. They had so much fun, drove for two straight days and have not been able to stop talking about the experience. The things they learned most drivers on the road will never learn, taking a car to the edge of its performance envelope than learning with expert instruction how to recover that vehicle back onto the course can only be done in a facility like this. You could just see their confidence soar from the first day to the next. What was so impressive about the place was the ease that the instructors moved back and forth between novice drivers such as my kids and professional drivers coming to the facility to all get better. Having that level of comfort and trust with your instructor makes the learning that much more fun and meaningful. Facilities were great and would recommend this to anyone at any level.
