I went zip lining for the first time with Zip Lost Pines and had a blast! The staff was very knowledgeable and fun! They clearly took their job seriously, but made some jokes too. They even offered to take photos for us. The course has 6 different zip lines that get progressively longer (and more fun). There are some great views of the river and the park! The guides handled all the setup, breaks, etc, so we felt completely safe and at ease. There was also plenty of cold water everywhere, which was very necessary with the Texas heat. If you're in the Austin area, I'd definitely recommend Zip Lost Pines. read more

I was very hesitant to try out zip lining, but fortunately Zip Lost Pines does everything right. The whole process was easy and felt extremely safe. Booking this adventure was simple on their website and the man working the counter was super friendly when we arrived. He explained everything and offered lockers for our belongings, treats and water. We were scheduled with another group, but they cancelled at the last minute. This meant we basically had a private tour for just the 2 of us. I call that customer service. They could have easily cancelled us too but instead the tour guides took the time to take just us through the course. They were great and we had a lot of fun. If you have any trouble climbing or walking, you may want to consider a different type of adventure, as this one has a fair share. If you've never tried it, I'd recommend it. read more

Stephanie and Amanda were our tour guides. Will helped to check us in and picked us up at the end. They took their time with this beginner zipper! Very attentive and friendly and careful with all safety issues. Kept you clipped onto a line at all times. Made us comfortable on our first zip line tour. There are six lines from 150-1300 feet long. They pointed out some of the local flora and fauna. Our tour left and returned on time. There were 7 in our group and that is usually max of what they allow without special arrangements beforehand. Took us about 2.5 hours to complete the lines. Water was available and wooden benches to sit on below at least 1/2 the towers. Our guides were sweet and obviously enjoy their jobs. This makes it more fun for everyone! My family- with me, hubby and 12 yr old son- had a good time and would recommend this activity! read more

If you choose to sneak away from Austin for a few hours, this is a great place. It's less than a half hour drive from downtown. Although there are some restrictions on height and weight, most people should qualify. The guides and other staff members were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Safety is the number one concern, and if you understand that and comply, you will have as great a time that we did. Depending on how many people are out on the course, it can take an hour to three hours to complete the course. If you aren't afraid of heights or being suspended over trees, give it a try. First time zip lining with the hubby and after reading other zip line tours, I'm glad I chose Zip Lost Pines!! They are located between the airport and Bastrop on 71, which for us south Austinites was a 40 min drive in some traffic. After check in, we geared up, received safety instructions and a small demonstration before we headed out. I felt very comfortable with the staff as they guided our group of six. Water stations through out & the beautiful scenery was great! This zip line tour has the breaks so you don't have to use hand breaks which I think is kind of scary. We have never been on a zip line & the 6 runs offered here were very fun. You have to walk a number of stairs & short trails but otherwise it's all about the rides. They care about your safety so no issue there. You ride back to base comfortably in an air conditioned van. Definitely worth the 2 hours. read more
