He helped me find a beautiful little succulent and a house plant for myself along with a super cute tan, geometric pot. Giovanni really was just so kind. They potted both plants and put extra special touches on the succulent for my friend. It was just so pretty and thoughtful. What I didn't mention is that my friend is an educator who just lost two students to a shooting in Great Hills last weekend. When I handed her the succulent and told her about Giovanni, she had literal tears in her eyes. She and I were both blown away by the kindness of a stranger who had little to no details about the truly devastating circumstances someone was going through. i highly recommend NOT shopping at winnie couture in austin!! i went with a friend of mine for her…read moreto try on wedding dresses and from the moment we walked in, it wasn't a great experience. there was only one other group in there at the time, but by the time my friend entered the dressing room, they were gone. the store is very small, which is fine, but when we walked in there were two female employees standing behind the desk, neither of which greeted us. there was a very small selection of dresses and we were told to pick what she wanted to try on. once it came time to try the dresses on, my friend was not offered any help whatsoever so myself and our other party guest had to go into the dressing room, which was very small, to help the bride. my friend absolutely fell in love with a dress and asked for a few different veils to try on and as she was putting them on, both employees stood behind the desk and laughed at her to the point that one of them was squatting down to try and hide. this made her immediately feel uncomfortable and she wanted to leave. she tried on one more dress and they again, laughed while behind their little desk. unfortunately, this led to my friend not wanting to buy a dress that she loved and when i asked the two employees if there was a manager i could speak to, i was told they were not allowed to give out that information. as i spoke to them to let them know why what they did wasn't okay, they just shook their heads and didn't speak. winnie couture is not a welcoming environment at all and i don't suggest any bride go there to try on dresses.

We had a week-long corporate meeting in Austin, TX. To save money, we decided to rent a house…read moreinstead of using a hotel. But getting food to the hotel would have been a challenge...either cook for ourselves or cater from a chain. Our host suggested we use an events chef and connected us to Becca Schafer and her staff. This proved to be one of the best parts of the meeting. The food was very fresh. She used local fresh ingredients whenever possible. She was sensitive to the variety of dietary needs for our staff: from vegetarian, to vegan, and beyond. They made from-scratch hors d'oeuvres served to us out on the patio. They also accommodated our schedule for dinner, flexing the time the meal was finished to accommodate our evening activities. The staff thoroughly cleaned the kitchen afterwards. We had to start an email list of our attendees who wanted chef Becca's recipes, which she graciously agreed to supply to anyone who wants them. Our staff meeting planner found the prices to be quite reasonable for sit-down meal costs. Lastly, you may be able to find other great chefs, but it's not always easy to find ones that were so enjoyable. Our staff had so much fun with them in the house, they insisted that Becca and her crew join us for a glass of wine on the patio. They joined in like old friends in our conversation, shared some fun stories, and were very genuine in their interactions with us. If you need someone to plan your event in the greater Austin area or beyond, Becca Events is a "must" to put on your list.

When you contact them (ran by husband and wife) you get a response from either of them. Christina is in charge of graphics and Francisco is in charge of contracts and logistics. They were able to create the strip design that I wanted as well. After the wedding I wanted to a copy of every single photo strip bc I accidentally washed mine in the washer machine. Oops. But they were able to accommodate my request. I paid a fee and prints were shipped immediately!! Now I have the prints displayed in our living room I would give 5 star, however I did have to email them several times to get a mock up of my strip design started. I know it was busy season. They emailed me several times asking what design I wanted but would get no response after sending details of my design. Still would recommend them tho!!
