Quite disappointed in the two corsages purchased for daughter's prom. One was $50 the other $55 plus delivery. Flowers are not fresh (as some of the main roses are fully bloomed and already wilting around edges) - one of the corsages smells like formaldehyde. It's as if they were made from leftovers from other arrangements. Per other reviews, their flowers may be amazing for weddings, special occasion arrangements, but very underwhelmed on the corsages. I will be going elsewhere next year. **Update - We were expecting a refund per the business, and has yet to happen. I have contacted the business twice and no one has called me back. I have also left two messages via their website contact form and no response. I thought they were going to make it right but they have failed to do so. read more

Truly incredible experience with this business. I had an extremely last minute arrangement that I needed for a funeral on Sunday morning. I called around 3:40 PM Saturday evening, not realizing they closed at 4. Every florist I could find was closed and I was beginning to think that I'd just have to settle for what I could get at HEB. Luckily, I reached Shayne at this location and he was happy to not only put something together on the spot but wait for about 15 minutes after they were closed so that I could pick them up. The arrangement was classy, elegant, and beautiful. The flowers are high quality and even after being out of water at room temperature for days, they have perked back up once being placed in water. I also found the affordability to be great for the quality and size of arrangement I received. Will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to anyone who asks. I had a really special experience when visiting here last week. I dropped in at the last minute to find a succulent before meeting with a friend (on 4/22) who was having a really rough week. I was helped by Giovanni and without going into details, I said I wanted something small for a friend who was having a bad week. He helped me find a beautiful little succulent and a house plant for myself along with a super cute tan, geometric pot. Giovanni really was just so kind. They potted both plants and put extra special touches on the succulent for my friend. It was just so pretty and thoughtful. What I didn't mention is that my friend is an educator who just lost two students to a shooting in Great Hills last weekend. When I handed her the succulent and told her about Giovanni, she had literal tears in her eyes. She and I were both blown away by the kindness of a stranger who had little to no details about the truly devastating circumstances someone was going through. My girlfriend and I visited Austin a few weeks ago and stayed with a friend during the trip. At the end of the trip, we wanted to get our host a gift, what better than flowers? After searching on Yelp, we came across the flower studio and gave them a call. The owner answered and said "we don't have anything pre-made, but we can whip together something custom in 15-20 minutes." Sold! We arrived at the studio and the owner, Coby, was so nice and helpful in getting flowers arranged in a short time. The conversation was wonderful and we got a cool history lesson on the fast growth of Austin. Though our visit was only for a small arrangement of flowers, I can see why Coby and his team are the best in Austin due to their personability and beautiful arrangements. They were a preferred vendor with my wedding venue so I decided to work with them based on their recommendation and the credit we had for The Flower Studio. I wasn't thoroughly impressed with their communication in person or via email. The wedding planning process is important, and flowers are right up there for any bride to be! I didn't feel overly welcomed and ran into a few headaches with them... 1. They said their whole crew was unavailable on my wedding date and we'd have to pick them up. That wasn't going to work for us, but thankfully our wedding venue (who we paid to handle issues like this), made it work. 2. The week of the wedding they changed their minds and told my coordinators they'd be delivering the day of the wedding at 2pm. Hooray! This to me was fantastic.. 3. They showed up close to 5pm, and DID NOT let anyone know they'd be late. My cake had flowers and their reasoning for showing up later was to be there to assemble the flowers on the cake. I was very happy with the flowers they delivered. I was actually REALLY happy with my flowers and my cake flowers. I was simply not impressed with their communication towards my venue and myself. Been talking to the flower studio about refunding me for the flowers not delivered, but they keep trying to say it wasn't their fault when it clearly was. I have sent them email chains and contracts about what I needed on my wedding day. My flower girls had to walk down the aisle with cups instead of baskets. Them not cooperating with me on this reflects how this company handles their clients. The Flower Studio did my wedding flowers. They were helpful in picking out the flowers and colors for my wedding. There were some unexpected cost that they tried to bill me later which we ended up resolving through the venue. However I was really disappointed with some of the aspects. The day of the wedding we were missing the flower girl baskets and mixed tossing petals. This really made me stressed out and was definitely unprofessional. read more

Stopped in about a month ago to order a birthday flower arrangement for my mom. The employee I placed the order with was very helpful, and the owner went out of his way to thank me for stopping into the store. We ordered through sendflowers.com. We ordered the Sweet Baby Lamb arrangement for our niece who just had a baby girl. The arrangement was a simple spring arrangement. No pink, no lamb, no roses etc. Not one thing that said baby. We understand sometimes substitutes are used. I would think they would try and get close to the original arrangement. The customer service representative we spoke with at The Flower Studio was dismissive and referred us back to sendflowers.com. Send flowers didn't make the arrangement. The Flower Studio did. No offer to make it right or anything. Blamed it on COVID. Ridiculous. I can see by their website they don't even do baby arrangements. Extremely disappointed. Will not use The Flower Studio or Sendflowers.com EVER. If you do, I suggest following up to ensure what you ordered is what got delivered. read more

At our first meeting, he talked to us for a bit, then went to the back. He returned with a combination of flowers that was EXACTLY what my daughter had envisioned. I selected The Flower Studio for my wedding in October of 2010 and I'm so happy that I did. The end result was over and beyond what I could have imagined. It's true, they are NOT the most inexpensive vendor that you will use for your event, but what they lack in affordability they make up for in customer satisfaction. Coby listened to my fragmented idea of my wedding theme would be and provided valuable advice that expanded far beyond floral design. He walked me through how the tables might look (including tablecloths, candles, chair covers... etc) and really helped me figure out how to make the event beautiful and cohesive. Because I didn't have a wedding planner, Coby's advice was taken to heart and proved to be extremely valuable. Oh, and if you have a Jewish wedding, Coby will make you the most BEAUTIFUL chuppah. Mine was draped in a beautiful semi-sheer ivory cloth with tie-backs that were covered in flowing hydrangeas. It was absolutely breathtaking. I also have to note that I completely dropped the ball on bringing a ring bearer pillow (woops!) but the Flower Studio saved the day. They fashioned one out of some leftover fabric and ribbon (stuffed with whatever they had on hand) and no one even noticed!!! I don't know what I would have done without them! read more

The Flower Studio is great for a low-budget wedding. They were willing to price me flowers by the stem so I could choose exactly how many I wanted to stay within what we could afford. It just so happens my favorite flowers tend to be the "cheap" ones - roses, carnations, daisies, and mums. The Flower Studio did not try to up-sell me and gave me more choices of mums than I knew existed. They definitely had the attitude that I could get whatever I wanted and they would make it happen. I made it clear we were using our own vases and my mother and I would be arranging the flowers ourselves - they were totally cool with that and again did not try to convince us to add on any other services we didn't want. On the day of my wedding I came out to the reception area and couldn't believe how perfect the flowers were. They were super fresh and vibrant. The Flower Studio also put together a modest arrangement for our ceremony and again - they kept it simple which is what I wanted. They did not try to convince me to use exotic tropical flowers from Thailand - they stuck to my favorite flowers and delivered what I asked for. They rented us a pedestal too which was nice. Keep in mind there is a delivery charge on top of what you pay for your flowers. You can pay in advance with a credit card over the phone. They rent pedestals but you must return them the next day (not really that big of a deal considering the only other option would be buying a pedestal yourself.) They are responsive via email or phone - they may be busy at times so don't hesitate to call or email again if you don't hear right away, they are always friendly and don't ever seem bothered. They do loose flowers by the stem (use your own vases to save money) and arrangements or a combo of both. Be very clear about what you want and you can save a lot of money with this florist and still get gorgeous flowers. read more

I've gotten 3 beautiful arrangements from my boyfriend from The Flower Studio. The first was a gorgeous, wintery white piece with hydrangea, roses and gold-sprayed greens that lasted over 10 days. This one was my favorite! The second was a triple rose bud vase the Monday before VDay that last 2 days before they wilted. This may not be the florist's fault if they got some older flowers shipped in before the big holiday which is hard to control, but I wish they used fresher flowers. Then I got a gorgeous dozen red rose vase the Friday before VDay (someone else uploaded a picture of here). They are a great twist on the average dozen rose vase, and had a beautiful design. These lasted longer and the vase was stunning when it came into my office. I love all of the designs so far and I hope to see more flowers from them soon :) Some context about me: My mom owns a florist in NY and I grew up working there for over 15 years. I had very minimal floral needs for my wedding, but hired the Flower Studio for what I did need. I'll start by saying Coby really knows his stuff. My bridal bouquet was AMAZING and better than I could have dreamed!! I have no doubt in the talent at the studio, but have concerns about professionalism. I contacted Coby about these issues shortly after the wedding, and received a personal response to the feedback. I do think these issues merit addressing in my review. First, I had a morning wedding ceremony. I was advised to have my family pick up the order at 9:00 AM since the studio opened at 8:30 AM. However, no one arrived to the studio until 9:15 AM. On the wedding day, every minute counts. Coby said this was due to Austin traffic, but 45 minutes late opening the studio on a day you know you have a customer picking up an order is unacceptable. My family members were not pleased. Second, I ordered loose flowers for my centerpieces. Coby was aware I had lily bowls to float these flowers. He selected a beautiful flower for the arrangement. However, the flowers were given to my family with the stem still on. I'm aware this is to maintain freshness, but my family had to spend 30 minutes cutting the stems off of the flowers themselves after they were already made to wait an additional 15 minutes to pick them up. Perhaps the stems are cut for customers prior to the pick-up, but since the employee was late to the shop, we'll never know... Third, my beautiful bouquet started to fall apart a couple of hours into the reception. Coby said this was due to the delicate flowers in the arrangement, but I was still pretty surprised that happened. I don't really fault him for that, but thought other brides should be prepared for this possibly occurring. In all fairness, our order was small. I understand we were not Coby's most lucrative customers, which he said does not matter, but I still feel we may have been given greater consideration if this had been the case. None of the above issues ruined my wedding day and I will continue to maintain that my bouquet was top-notch visually, but they did concern me. read more

My flowers were beautiful, delivered on time, and the order was correct so they earned their 3 stars but I cannot give 5 only for 2 reasons. 1 - Price for value. I hated my boutonnieres (Why didn't they use roses?! They looked so cheap and were $15 each!! I wish I had just made them myself). The bridesmaid bouquets I received on my wedding day were very small. The maid of honor bouquet was $10 more and was exactly the same as the bridesmaids' (even though they were originally quoted as the same price) - we could not tell which was hers on the wedding day. I paid $35 and $40 for the moms' corsage and bouquet, which were also very tiny for the price. My bouquet was over $100 more and bigger but a lot of the space was filled with a bunch of little green buds that I did not ask for and did not match. 2 - I felt that the level of customer service changed after I put down a deposit. At first they were very responsive and super friendly, answering all my questions and being very helpful, but once I was "booked," I did not feel that I got the same service. Each time I walked in for a consultation, the front desk seemed surprised and like they were not expecting me. Luckily the person I needed to meet with was there each time, but I normally had to wait a little bit each time. When I emailed after booking, I was getting a response from someone different than I was addressing them to, the responses were slower, and they were slightly more curt, like "as stipulated by contract" and "see previous email" even though the answers were NOT in the previous email and I was just asking a question! When I tried to clarify, I was told that I would need to schedule and pay for another consultation to discuss it further (a bridesmaid dropped out after I had paid for her flowers and I was just asking if I had any options). read more

Absolutely ruined my wedding. I made this account just for the purpose of writing this review. I met with Coby and we ended up spending over $4,000 on flowers. My wedding colors were red and plum. I ordered roses, and tulips. The flowers I recieved were orange and lavendar mums and carnations. Had absolutely nothing to do with anything I ordered and not one flower was the color red. Also we ordered rose petals on all of our reception tables, there were none. His female partner dropped off the flowers and HAULED ASS out of there before anyone could see the flowers. My photographer will be photoshopping the flowers the correct color now for $300 extra. When contacted about it, they made the following points: 1. The flowers came in damaged 2. The company they ordered from sent the wrong ones 3. They decided to use them anyways 4. The notes they took for my flowers got "lost in the mess" since they were reorganizing their office 5. Some red roses did come in, and they forgot to put them in the arrangement. They offered a 600 dollar credit on this 4,000 dollar flower arrangement. We said that was unnacceptable and they proceed to respond saying that amount was incredibly generous and we had only perhaps overpayed by about 1,200. After several email correspondances, they left off on the note that if 600 was not good enough for recieving not ONE SINGLE FLOWER that I ordered, we could take it up with their legal department. We had to file a $2,000 dispute with our credit card company and file a complaint with the better business bureau. The bank approved our refund. If this was the last florist left on the face of the earth, I would hold a bouquet of weeds. read more

The unique navy vase really stood out with the yellow calla lilies, orange gerber daisies, burnt orange roses, clovers and palm leaves. The presentation was great and you could tell it was definitely not from the grocery store. I went into my meeting with Coby not knowing one thing about flower, just had an idea of what colors I wanted and a inkling of what I wanted them to look like. Coby took over immediately, sketching, talking, explaining and planning out what turned out the be more amazing than I had pictured! Our bouquet's were beautiful, I wish they could have lasted forever. The flowers, petals, and candles on our dining room tables took my breath away. The arrangements where the ceremony took place were out of this world. We had nothing but flowers as decorations and what Coby did for my wedding was all I needed. The minute we met Coby and everyone at The Flower Studio, we were treated like family. And that is exactly what every bride wishes for! We all want to feel like our day is just as important to everyone else as it is to us. That is exactly what you get from Coby Neal and The Flower Studio!!! I do have to apologize profusely to Coby, who made a second trip to my venue, The Vista on Seward Hill, to attempt to put the flowers on my cake that still was not there.
