I've been a happy customer of Mercedes Flowers for years both personally and for my business as an event planner. I recently stopped by the new address just off Lamar to see if I could catch her to discuss floral arrangements for an upcoming event, but realized it's a STUDIO ONLY LOCATION, and not a flower shop that you can stop into. Instead I called her and placed an easy online order. As always the arrangements were a work of art and were delivered on time. Mercedes Flowers is the best! read more

As a former floral design studio owner in Los Angeles, I am impressed with this *incredible* florist. The custom made floral art arrived fresh and are blooming so pretty with such a lovely scent. Though all styles of arrangements are appreciated, the natural, unpretentious garden style is very much me. Extra cute with the protea and succulents! read more

Mercedes was excellent to work with. I needed a last-minute arrangement, and she was very accommodating in allowing me to pick it up. The arrangement itself was beautiful and exceeded my expectations!! I will definitely use them again!! read more

Mercedes was AMAZING to work with! My family and I sent my mother and father in law an arrangement to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. I left comments on what I was looking for and Mercedes was quick to reach out and work together on what we had in mind. The flowers were stunning and exactly as we discussed. She is incredibly talented and used a beautiful color scheme that was romantic and unique. On top of that, due to a miscommunication on my end about timing, her husband personally delivered the flowers hours after they had closed (on Father's Day, nonetheless) so that the flowers wouldn't have to sit out in the Texas heat. Would highly recommend Mercedes Flowers to anyone. We are so thankful we found her. Her skill, kindness, communication, and incredible customer service will make us repeat customers again and again! read more

For our 14th anniversary, my partner and I planned on staycationing at Austin Proper Hotel. Upon opening the door to our room, my breath was taken away! Before me sat a largest vase of stunningly magnificent and utterly gorgeous red roses. In all their glory they welcomed me to the beginning of what transpired to be a most memorable anniversary. I was simply speechless. This was by far the most beautiful arrangement of roses I had ever seen. As though this were not enough, that night, for our anniversary dinner, I was yet again delightfully surprised by another loveliest arrangement of red roses adorning the elegant white tablecloth! Mercedes' flower arrangements are not just works of art, her love for flowers and her warm relationship with her clients, combined with a sense of responsibility as the owner of Mercedes Flowers transcends all praise. So, thank you Mercedes for making our anniversary even more unforgettable. read more

I'm a fairly regular florist customer - I send flowers to my wife at her office on all of the usual occasions. I used Mercedes Flowers for our anniversary yesterday and, after delivery, get a call from my wife who is excitedly thanking me and says "Holy ****! These are the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen! 4 of the women at my office almost started crying when they saw them at delivery!". Fair to say that my wife isn't prone to overreaction and has received a whole lot of flowers at her office, but gotta say that this is the first time we've had tears. Tip of the hat, Mercedes :) read more

I was the recipient of the most beautiful, unique flower arrangement I have every seen. This is way over the top. The pictures don't do it justice. She even put the orchids in their own water tube because the stems were short. To top it off the personal service was remarkable. The owner texted me to make sure I was home to deliver the flowers so that they would not sit in the sun and worked with me on delivery after hours which required her husband to personally deliver the flowers. I can tell by the many texts her passion for flowers and desire to personally bring joy to her customers. I felt like family! read more

What you see on her website is absolutely what you get! The arrangement she made called Designer's Choice was an amazing work of floral art. I loved how I was able to contact her to ask if they could deliver to an area that was out of range. They did. Great customer service! You couldn't ask for more. And again her flowers are beautiful; whatever your floral need I would return as it will be magical. Thank you! read more

The Marriott shared a short list of vendors and Mercedes Flowers was included on that list. As I looked through the options and visited the website, all the floral arrangements were so gorgeous and showed that one, she is incredibly talented, and two, loves what she does! When I reached out and started chatting about the different ideas, there was no need to look at the rest of the vendors because I knew Mercedes was going to be phenomenal to work with and the florals would be gorgeous. That turned out to be true and then some. The arrangements were stunning and incorporated the vision perfectly and she was so professional and kind to work with. read more

What to say about Mercedes but.. OMG SHE MADE MY WEDDING DAY AWESOME! Honestly. She has forever made me happier with how my big day went. She made me the most wonderful bouquet for my bride-to-be on our big day. She was able to whip up something creative, unique, personalized, and, -above all- beautiful! She did a masterful job, despite me putting her in a time crunch and giving terrible directions about what I wanted. And I will never be able to pay her back for making this day even more special- I have good memories forever because of her! Also, FYI- omg not only is she so incredibly talented, but she is also the kindest, nicest person I have dealt with in a long time. Thank you times a trillion Mercedes! read more

Mercedes flowers helped me to design the most PERFECT bouquets for my wedding on January 28th, 2017. I can't believe how down to earth and sweet she and her staff is. I was one of those bride-to-be's that didn't have the most specific idea for what I wanted, and I most definitely didn't have every detail hashed out. In fact, as far as flowers went....all I had was inspiration from my invitation suite which I purchased on Etsy. I showed her a photo of my invites and basically said "make something that looks like this". She was so easy to work with and the design she came up with matched my vision and invites perfectly! I purchased a trial bouquet a couple weeks before the wedding and I made slight tweaks at that point (I highly recommend doing this). We added some silver brunia (the silvery looking balls) along with some other minor adjustments. This way I knew EXACTLY what I was getting on my big day, which helped to relieve any nervous-ness. Her husband is very knowledgeable as well regarding what flowers are available at what time and what flowers could take the place of some if they weren't in season. You can see the end result of my wedding bouquet in my profile pic! I never stop getting compliments on my flowers! I will use her for many years to come for any of my flower needs! read more

MERCEDES is beyond exceptional. I live in Chicago and wanted to send a flower arrangement to my adorable daughter- in - Law for her birthday. Because I don't know Austin I needed to rely on YELP for recommendations. I'm so glad I chose MERCEDES. I was very last minute in ordering but Mercedes could not have been more gracious. There was a wide variety of flowers, many of which are not usually easy to find...anywhere. She also sent me photos of the finished arrangement before she had it delivered. I don't think I've ever had a more pleasant experience with phone ordering. When I get the chance to visit my son I will be sure to visit Mercedes, my new phone friend. I cannot totally express how pleased I was with this experience. THANK YOU MERCEDES!!! read more

I cannot express how grateful I am to Mercedes Flowers, words and a good review cannot not give justice. My father passed away and we needed burial flowers in 48 hours. Mercedes was prompt, attentive, compassionate to our circumstances and just fun to do business with-- even during such a difficult time. Customer service can be learned but some are born knowing the needs of others and how to deliver a 5 Star product. The flowers were the most beautiful I've seen. What a JEWEL! I am from Newport Beach California and walked into Mercedes Flowers yesterday to get my sister a congratulatory bouquet for the opening of her new Restaurant "MeninpPasta Italian on S.Lamar next door to Broken Sooke. Med Merced's created the most elegant sophisticated bouquet bursting with texture color pops all over and in a snap it was done and the presentation absolutely to die for! I was so proud to present them to my sister she actually placed them in the front at the Hitess reception area. I stopped by Mercedes on a wing and a prayer on a scorching hot Thursday afternoon looking for something for my daughter's 25th birthday. What I got was not what I was after; it was much better! Lovely ladies listened to me then suggested some roses, $18 a dozen...ok that's a no brainer. They were a beautiful set of lavender roses (I am adding a pic to the set) and they look even better today than when I presented them to my daughter. She was thrilled and so am I.
