Cortney of BZ Events was our wedding planner. We spent almost a year working with her, and I cannot say enough great things about Cortney and her team. Our wedding took place this May at Vintage Villas, and we received so many compliments on not only the wedding itself, but also on how smoothly everything ran. I even had a guest who worked for another event planning company comment on how amazing Cortney and her team were! From the start, Cortney completely understood our vision and budget. I was an out-of-state bride, and Cortney helped us connect with vendors that met our style and price range. Cortney Zieky of BZ has been helping us plan our wedding for the past 6 or so months, and every time I talk to her I can't help but think how happy I am that we went with her! The wedding's still 6 months away, but the whole process has been so wonderful, I have total faith that I won't have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding. Planning a wedding can be an overwhelming task and she made it so much easier for us. From the very beginning, Cortney was there to make the whole process so much simpler.We were able to pick and choose what services we wanted, which was great for us since we wanted to do some things ourselves. If I ever got stressed about something, she was there to calm me down! She was also there to help with all of the vendors, to answer all of my questions along the way, and so much more. On the wedding day, Cortney and her team were there to help with all of the last minute things and to make sure that everything went perfect. Becky and the team at BZ events are world class pros. Our wedding in October at the Allan House couldn't have been more perfect, and the majority of credit for this goes to them. From day one they were on top of everything and helped us stay on track, on budget and on time with vendors, caterers, venues, etc... by always being there. They made sure that everything looked amazing and that our vision came true, and they took care of all the little details that make a huge difference (who would have ever thought of branded stir sticks or a monogram on the dance floor)! I met with Becky and Henry shortly after I got engaged after hearing about them from a friend. Within minutes of our first meeting, I knew there was absolutely no way I could have anyone but these two plan our big day. I really didn't come into the process with a ton of ideas. I picked a color palette and a general feeling I wanted for the day, and let them do all the work! They helped us pick the perfect venue and an incredible vendor team. They really work with the cream of the crop in Austin. They are such a delight to work with and I will miss meeting with them regularly! Our wedding was absolutely stunning and SO MUCH FUN. If I could give BZ 500 stars I would give them each and every one! Andrew & I got engaged in West Texas on December 13, 2011. On December 28th we were sitting in the BZ office wondering how we could possibly get a wedding planned in Austin, a city we didn't live in, within the next 6 months. At the time I didn't even see how it would be possible!!! Engagement and planning a wedding are supposed to be the best time of your life, yet I was so stressed about where we would have it, when we would have time to plan and how we would get it done in 6 months that I couldn't even enjoy it for a second. After our first meeting with Becky Brock we knew she was the one. It's just like when you find the right wedding dress you just know.... well that's how we felt about Becky, when we found her we knew she was the right fit. After meeting with her I instantly felt that a weight had been lifted off our shoulders! We returned home, 6 hours north of Austin, a week later and all we had was a planner and a venue. Although I felt some sense of relief there were so many decisions and details I was still wondering if I would ever be able to conquer it all. Becky was available to respond to every e-mail and phone call whenever we needed her. She sent me names of the best vendors in town and I simply chose which ones I liked the best. She was able to set up over the phone or in person interviews when it was convenient for us and we were able to decide who we wanted from there. Becky told us when we needed to be in town and set up ALL of our vendor appointments so we could knock out flowers, invitations, food, band, table settings, lighting, etc. all in one weekend. As someone that works full time this type of convenience is a MUST!!! In addition to all the usual wedding worries there was a whole other side to planning we never even knew of or thought about, Becky took care of all the behind the scene details that I didn't even know went into a wedding! Any question, stress or issue we ran into Becky took care of. While my mom and I were busy e-mailing and calling Becky, my husband had Henry to rely on. Henry was such a great and necessary addition to the team! He e-mailed my husband tie, suit, pocket square options and helped him make decisions about whatever a groom needs and a bride doesn't have time to worry about. Come wedding day Becky, Henry and the BZ team arrived before we were done with hair and makeup. They moved all of our luggage from our hotel rooms around so we could get into our new honeymoon suite that night... they helped find toothpaste, pin back our hair and even brought along a pair of extra wedding rings in case the best man forgot ours..... who even thinks of all this stuff??? Becky and Team ready with there secret service ear pieces, timelines! They had a list of every family member, bridesmaid and groomsman... they knew grandma liked apple martini's and we needed to make sure and take a picture with Uncle Raymond & Aunt Theresa before the night was over. When we let for the church without my dad, Becky went back and picked him up. When no one wanted to help me put on my wedding dress, Henry was there to help, haha. They made sure we captured every moment, they we were never without a drink and that we truly enjoyed every moment of our special day!!! Without BZ we would have been a mess, I would have been running around all night making sure everything was running smoothly but with them I didn't miss a thing! They made sure we got all the pictures we needed, got to the reception in time to enjoy cocktail hour, sat us down to eat dinner, got us ready to cut the cake and made sure we got to dance the night away! They were hidden in the background all night making sure every special moment and event occurred smoothly. They took our small vision, color palette and style and turned it into the event of the year!! They have an amazing list of vendors to choose from and they make it so easy to make decisions! I went to Austin 3 times in the 6 months of planning and they took care of everything else.... I could have NEVER pulled this off without them and I don't recommend that any bride tries. I could go on and on and on but I think you get the idea. If you are even thinking about getting married you need BZ Events on your side!!! Becky and her entire staff are the BEST in town. When I started planning my huge fancy wedding I had just moved to town from LA, where I worked as an art director and set designer for 10 years. I spent a year and a half working with Becky Brock planning my wedding. I am what many would call a control freak and I am also in a design profession so I knew I would have a specific vision for my wedding and would want to be heavily involved. Don't even know where to start, this company was so amazing! I started planning my husband's 50th birthday last September & quickly realized I was in over my head trying to plan a long weekend in Austin from California for 16 people. When my husband and I had our first peak at the ballroom, we were both blown away by how beautiful it was and how perfectly they had laid everything out and made the dreams on paper and pictures come to life. My husband to this day talks about how easy our wedding planning process was and that is ALL due to Brock+Co. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Becky Brock and her staff, Taryn, Kacy and Danica are. They planned the most beautiful, elegant and fun wedding for my daughter and took care of every detail! With neither our daughter or my husband and I living in Austin, they presented us with wonderful options of vendors to work with and pulled all the parts of the wedding together flawlessly! Most of our planning was done by email, text and phone and it was all kept up to date with several websites and spreadsheets that we could log into at anytime. They sent us updates and lists of decisions to be made, with suggestions, etc. Best of all, they kept within our budget, even when we had to add a tent for dinner! - I was so impressed by how business oriented, yet a lot of fun, each of these women are. I would work with them again in a heartbeat and wholeheartedly recommended them to everyone - they are the best!! They truly felt like family by the end of the wedding. On that day, there was a large staff of the four of them and their interns - anything we needed, we just had to tell one of them and it happened, even if it was a problem - it was handled! Many of our vendors commented to us how much they loved working with Becky and her staff, and that everything is always so well done!!
