Thermal gun from the Houston classified sequel

Been here countless times! Finished every room and replayed almost every room, the staff is nice and the rooms are always clean and fun. We come here for every special occasion, they always make us a card for birthdays/anniversaries which I know they do for everyone but it doesn't make it any less special, we hang them on the fridge, we have nearly 5 years worth of fun to reflect on when we see them each day. Even took my brother to the one in Houston and he loved it too!! My only complaint is that they don't have more rooms for us to solve!! Nevertheless, we will keep coming here and challenging ourselves to solve the rooms faster, plus, they have such good pricing for an escape room, other places around Austin are nearly twice as much with lower quality and far less rooms to play. This company has our loyalty for life! I tell all my clients about it, and will be bringing my mom here soon for a late Mother's Day adventure!

I have completed two of their escape rooms, and I think they're among the best in Austin. The employees are really nice and energetic. The rooms are well decorated, immersive, and clean. It's a bit pricey at $39.99 per person, but they are a lot of fun, even for beginners. I really like that they give you unlimited hints, and you get to take photos inside the actual escape room! Other places don't allow photography or only give you up to three hints if you get stuck. Parking downtown isn't easy, so be sure to get there at least 15 minutes before your game starts.

Aug 10, 2025 review ---- My husband and I went there with 3 other friends and we all enjoyed it. We did the prison break room and as they claim its one of their most challenging room, it's quite true. We were out in two teams at first, not competing against each other but just finding ways in different ways. Good part is unlimited clues and no penalty. We got 60 mins to play it and we took around 15-20 clues. At first we were little hesitant and at the end, we're running against time. The arrangement is quite detailed and it was fun solving complex puzzles together. The person who we met at entry (sorry forgot his name) was really nice and had explained all the rules to us. At the end he was very patient and clicked some group pictures for us. You can carry your purse, wallet, keys etc. important stuff m, they do have place to keep it. Price is around 40 per person. Parking right is front was not available when we went there but plenty of roadside parking nearby and I think they have a parking lot too.

Such a great time! We had 4 groups for a work related event do 4 different Escape Games. We chose "The Heist" and 60 minutes to get through it. So much fun to work in our group to collaborate an "Escape". We ended up completing the mission with 19 minutes to spare and using 5 clues (which are unlimited but we tried not to use but we running into some roadblocks). The host was super friendly and cheerful. Definitely worth checking out when you're in Austin, where this location is walking distance from a few hotels in the downtown area.

We had a really fun time! The gold rush game was really well organized, with variety of puzzle types. One hour is the perfect amount of time. Good option for work events, birthday, or a rainy day activity.

Lauren was super fun and laughed at my corny jokes. And then was so nice to let me refund my hat when I noticed some leftover makeup on it. As for the escape, Cosmic Crisis was a really fun escape game for a group of 6 fairly intelligent, but not super intense, group of people.

Our first (and certainly not last) experience with Escape Game Austin did not disappoint! First impressions were fantastic with their THOUSANDS of glowing reviews and an extremely well done website. I especially love how they had trailers for the rooms! Online reservation is super simple, but they don't allow for private bookings. My husband and I wanted to escape on our own and ended up booking last minute during non-peak hours in to avoid others joining our time slot. This may not be poss for those with less flexible schedules. We had an awesome time solving the Gold Rush room. Definitely do-able with a pair of two with some prior experience and hints; I'm actually not sure I'd recommend the max capacity of 8 people, given the relatively smaller space. Content-wise, the room was very on theme and well-designed. There was a nice variety of puzzles, but the mechanisms got pretty redundant towards the end of the hour. We also ran into a few snags with malfunctioning props as we advanced. Thankfully, the staff kept a close eye on us and talked us through them. Speaking of, service was excellent. Our guide, Kristin, had great energy the whole way through. After our game, she gave us a sneak peek of the other rooms (it was a slower day) and offered some sick discounts for booking our next room before we left. V cool how they have so many locations and gift cards are redeemable anywhere. Thanks for a fun time. We'll be back!!

Fun spot for a birthday outing! We Escaped!

This is a whimsical escape game that took place in South Congress St in Austin. If you're down to get a bit silly in public and solve riddles while exploring the area, this is for you. Bring water, a hat, and good walking shoes - it can take up to 2 hours but is very fun with a group of 4. Also, make sure someone has strong internet connection - it is necessary for some of the clues. You only walk 2-3 blocks one way and there's plenty of places with shade and tables to rest in between, so it is very doable for anyone of any fitness level and the puzzles are accessible to all. Plus, Mission Control is responsive for when you're stuck and meets you in person throughout the experience! Very fun! And lucky for us, it was a cool-ish summer day, so not horrible for walking around. Become a master of time travel!

I was tasked to plan a fun team building activity for some out of town quests. So I thought this would be great as the weather here in Austin was cooling down to get outside of the box. As we know when it's hot here, it's super hot and that's just no fun at all. There were 12 of us, and we broke up into two groups and were each given a suitcase that we were tasked to do different adventures in East Austin. We were greeted by our tour guide, who gave us everything that we needed to make sure that we had an incredible afternoon. And we did. I could not recommend this more if you've got five or more people coming in I wanted to go out and have some fun in Austin. You'll make lots of memories have lots of laughs and see lots of things you may not have seen before. So don't be afraid that people are gonna be bored, because they won't. Lots of great memories :) thank you One more thing. You'll want to wear some shoes that are comfortable. As you will be doing some walking. Also - choose your end spot - the restaurant we had was not my favorite.

Funny enough, even though it's called Upstairs Circus, I kept calling it "Uptown Circus" for some reason and still do. My sister had been here once when she first moved to Austin, but it had been a while, so she was happy to go again. We tried to make a reservation for a Monday but found out they're closed that day unless it's a private event. So we ended up booking a Sunday evening during their Sangria Sundays event. Signing up online was quick and easy--no payment required upfront. When we arrived, we were seated at a table and given the option to sit side by side or across from each other. They handed us a laminated flyer with all the available project options, ranging from easy (about an hour) to more challenging projects that can take the full three-hour session. There was a good mix of household items (like coasters and magnetic shelves), jewelry, handbags, clutches, accessories, and even a pricier custom Nike shoe painting project. The sample projects looked very professional, but the final result really depends on your artistic skills and how focused you are during the session. My sister and I decided to pick different projects--she chose a handbag clutch, and I went with coasters. We got all our materials and instructions. One thing I noticed: this kind of activity is probably better suited for people who don't have a ton to catch up on while working. Since my sister and I hadn't seen each other for weeks, we were trying to talk and catch up, which made it harder for me to focus on the project. Some steps were time-sensitive, so juggling both conversation and crafting was a bit stressful. For my coaster project, I initially planned to use a stencil and transfer paper to trace a design, but it didn't work very well. I ended up switching to a simple two-color block design just to make sure I could finish in time. My sister's project was a bit more advanced--she had to do leather hole punching and threading--but she managed to finish and loved how her clutch turned out. Since it was Sangria Sunday, you get one complimentary sangria or mocktail with your reservation, and they keep a card on file if you want to order more drinks. I got a spicy cocktail that actually had really good flavor, even though I didn't finish it. Overall, this is a fun and unique activity if you want to do something creative with a friend or group. I'd recommend it more if you're looking to spend quality time doing something together rather than having a deep conversation--because focusing on the project definitely takes some attention. My sister was happy with her finished product, and I liked mine even if it turned out simpler than planned. It's a cool idea for a birthday, date night, or just a different kind of outing.
