God, I hate these type of things to be frank, but I had recently merged my practice with some fellow colleagues. We all knew each other well already. However, to my surprise, this went remarkably well. The games that you get to participate in are familiar with anyone who has ever watched day time contest shows. They were knock offs of familiar puzzle shows and the hour goes by quickly. I like the fact that your teams are randomly selected, rather than the group picking who wants to be with who. I would imagine you can pick you own as well. From my conversations with our COO, there was a questionnaire sent out to get some bio's, background information of our group to make the questions relative to who we are and what we do. This made it much more comfy, if you would. The host was funny and engaging, kept the party going. You can BYOB, but at 11am, it seemed a little early even for this rowdy bunch of hooligans. Oddly, feeling this rather campy if you would at first, I quickly got into the spirit of the moment. There were loads of laughs and banter going back and forth. Our team won the game itself. One suggestion, you may want to purchase a small little trophy to be given to the winning team for bragging rights and to fight for the next time you go. The location is a little off piste, but you'll find it. I would recommend car pooling, although since we were there pretty early, we didn't have an issue finding spaces. All in all, my thoughts are we had a great teaming event, which we talked about and shared more laughs at our luncheon afterwards. Check them out!

The game show experience was super fun and engaging for the 17 year old kids as well as their parents. The whole group had a blast! The only frustrating thing was how long it took them to get our game show experience started. It's expensive for 2 hours and we played for less than 90 minutes. Some of their start up logistics could be better as to maximize game time. Due to the time crunch, not everyone in our group got to play the plinko game which everyone wanted to play. Fix that and it's a five star experience!

From our initial visit, we were blown away by how gorgeous the venue was in comparison to everywhere else we had looked at. Not to mention - the property is HUGE! It was a perfect mix of everything - beautiful outdoor ceremony site, gorgeous bridal/groom suite, beautiful scenery all around that would be perfect for photos, extremely spacious indoor area that would be perfect for all of our guests to relax in A/C for our summertime wedding, and a beautifully rustic reception hall that provided the chill, casual vibe we were going for. When we first met with Memory Lane, the very first thing we noticed was all of the awards and plaques that were displayed in their office. After working with them for so many months, we completely understand how they had obtained so many awards. They were an absolute dream to work with and walked us through every step of the process. Uleta is absolutely FANTASTIC and kept us updated every step of the way. We had no idea what we wanted when we initially started planning, but with the help of Memory Lane, we were able to find inspiration and they took our vision and turned it into a reality. They showed us countless photos and were so patient with our indecisiveness until we were finally able to envision exactly what we wanted. They addressed any hesitation we had and kept in constant communication with us throughout. We don't even live in the Austin/Hill Country area, but they made it so easy to work with them. Uleta assured me that whatever I wanted for my wedding, they were going to make happen. They kept in contact with our vendors for us to make sure everything was going to be perfect for our wedding. I felt like I didn't even need to lift a finger these past few months!! The day of the wedding, I could not be more happy with how everything turned out. They made sure that the focus would be on the bride and groom the entire day, and indeed it was. We received countless compliments the entire night from our guests on how well everything was planned and how beautifully it was coordinated. We have the team at Memory Lane to thank for that, as I am sure our wedding would not have even been half as beautiful as it was if we had planned everything ourselves. These people win awards year after year for good reason - because they know what they're doing and they are damn good at their job. The space is beautiful. My biggest complaint was their communication. Took forever to get responses…read morevia email or phone. When you're planning a wedding, it adds stress to have trouble communicating with the venue. Another thing was when we toured, we were given a catering booklet. Turns out the prices in the booklet were pre-COVID. It sucked having the costs be higher after the fact. Also, the florist on the property went out of business a month or so before the wedding, causing us to scramble for a new florist.

There was a variety of games from 'old school' to newer games and there was plenty for every age. All of the games except one were working, which is better than most of these types of places. My grandson played the Willy Wonka 'coin' game and managed to get all nine character cards and a golden ticket card which is a big deal. The few who get this have their picture taken and placed in the machine - a 'wall of fame' so to speak. When we asked the staff to add his picture they said they were out of film. We offered to purchase some (Polaroid) and they initially declined saying they couldn't 'accept' it. After having a good discussion with the manager, they agreed that if we went to Walmart to get film, they would take the picture and post it, which all occurred. Not sure how they 'ran out of' film, but aside from that, all went well. Folks who aren't grandparents won't likely understand what grandparents will do for grandkids!

We always knew that we wanted an outdoor wedding - one with tons of green space, a stage for live…read moremusic, and a campsite for all of our friends to stay and dance the night away. After searching for years throughout our engagement, we had nearly convinced ourselves that no such venue existed. That was until we saw The Ball Farm. The Ball Farm, owned and operated by the wonderful couple Ivey and Josh Ball, was legitimately our dream come true. We had so many wild plans, but Josh and Ivey were happy to listen and help us bring all of our ideas to life. Their wealth of knowledge in the event industry made coordinating with vendors a breeze. They were such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire experience that we never once had to worry - we knew this day would be everything we wanted. The Ball Farm itself is absolutely breathtaking. Our wedding was in the spring, and the farm was bursting with life. Our ceremony site was beyond picturesque. We were married beneath the canopy of two beautiful giant oak trees. Ivey and Josh worked with us to coordinate several live bands and a large seated dinner under a covered pavilion. Not only did the space perfectly accommodate our wedding and reception, it also allowed us to seamlessly incorporate overnight camping into the event. The campground was nestled among a grove of trees beside two ponds. Ivey and Josh helped us coordinate with a vendor to set up enough tents for all of our guests to stay. On the night of, they even built bonfires for us to sit around and celebrate all night long. It was nothing short of a magical experience. I never thought I would be the kind of bride to say that my wedding was the best day of my life, but when the day came, I couldn't stop saying it. And for that, I will be forever grateful to Ivey and Josh and their beautiful farm.
