Jake and Mandy's wedding

What can I say about Memory Lane? SO MUCH! After months of planning our dream wedding, we can gladly say "We're married!", and it was all due to the massive help from Memory Lane staff. From the very beginning everyone was super helpful- and we needed a lot! From planning to final meetings to the big day, we were happy with how everything turned out. Our wedding was perfect! No stress, all of us started on time, and the coordinators are LIFESAVERS! I would have had no clue when to walk down the aisle, when to first dance, how to throw a bouquet, without these girls. They helped us immensely throughout the day and we are so pleased with how everything turned out. Our families were so happy to be able to enjoy the day without running around for us- thank you to all of the Memory Lane family that made this happen! We also used the in house florists, Wild Bunches, which was amazing and so easy. Our bouquets were colorful, exactly how I wanted them and they were really great working with our budget! And after the whole shindig, we stayed in the residence after the wedding, which was ideal so our wedding party didn't have to drive back to hotels. I felt like a princess the whole day! Thank you so so much, everyone at Memory Lane!

This is the PERFECT venue! Not only is the location gorgeous.. you can stay here and accommodate family and friends during your special day. The staff is beyond incredible and professional. They make the day just....flawless. I was nervous about the rain pushing us inside, and Memory Lane kept the most positive and up to date on the radar. The sky cleared and the entire evening was perfect. Maybe they have magic up their sleeves ;) Either way, you will not regret choosing this as your venue for ANY event.

After getting engaged, my fiancé and I took a couple of weeks for it to sink in. Once we where ready, we reached out to our church and started to look for venues. I can't even remember, but somehow we saw Memory Lane's open house and we decided to check them out. We had a tour by Thalia and after we left we decided to call them back and take advantage of the open house special. We fell in love with the rustic, yet sophisticated, look of the reception hall. We fell in love with the outdoor grounds with the luscious trees and pool, plus the beautiful guest house was included with overnight accommodations. The staff has wedding planning down to include every detail. We visited the venue probably 3 times after booking, and the last meeting helped the staff to ensure all my dreams and wishes came true. Most of my vendors were new to them, thus the extra visits out there. Their flexibility with the vendors helped us keep the budget in check. After looking for a day-of-coordination, ML not only had the best deal, but I was confident I could count on their experience. On our wedding day 8/1/15, we got married in a church in downtown Austin, and then we had everyone drive out to Memory Lane. It was a bit of a drive, but we knew that our guests would love it out there. We arrived at ML just in the nick of time, as per our timeline. ML staff helped me adjust my dress for the reception and off we were to be announced as husband and wife into the reception hall. I felt so lucky to have worked with Thalia, Gaby, and Uleta. Due to the hot Texas heat (over 100 degrees) we set up a cocktail hour in the lodge (in the guests cabin), but we also set up cocktail tables outside the reception hall next to the Margarita/Piña Colada bar. We also set up a cornhole game on their lawn, and a cigar hour outdoors. The Mariachi band started on cue, and dinner buffet was ready. I literally had "My Big Fat Mexican Wedding" at ML. I wasn't expecting any dancing during dinner, but my family got really excited with the Mariachis, that the dancing started right away. We also did the traditional "Vibora de la Mar", which ML staff had never experienced before. It involves the groom and bride standing on chairs and creating a bridge, while all the ladies create a super fast Congo line that goes all around the entire reception hall. The ML staff was extremely attentive out all the needs and wants throughout the entire night, they were all smiles, which to me was super important that they appeared approachable to my family, guests, and vendors. All my guests had a wonderful time. We loved being able to invite our guests to hangout a little longer at the after party at the guests house. We took full advantage of the pool and hot tub. I highly recommend having people willing to help clean up, we are super thankful that our wedding party ensure we left everything as required by ML. My only concern was the following: they advertised a capacity of 250, but I was sweating it. After looking at the table layout, I was hoping we only had 220 rsvp's. We were able to squeeze 24 tables (240 guests), but it was tight. It all worked out at the end. Since it was buffet style, we set up two buffet tables (one at the back of the dance floor), which was dismantled after dinner. We also used their rental company for the additional tables, chairs, and linens. Their service included setup and take down, which we truly appreciated. Thalia and Gaby were amazing at listening and catering to my wishes to ensure we would have a memorable wedding day. Their day-of-coordination services were everything and more than I expected. Overall, the place and the staff were exceptional. We loved celebrating our big day at Memory Lane.

Everyone at Memory Lane was extremely helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process and on the wedding day. Shout out to Gaby and Uleta for answering every single one of my trivial questions and reassuring me whenever I had a silly worry. The gals here are always prepared to give you an idea or a list of alternatives! My husband and I were so happy with our decision to have our wedding here because it was a reasonable price and everything you need is on site, which made planning so much easier. Thank you so much Memory Lane!

I had a lot of guests from outside of Texas, so I wanted to give them an authentic Texas Hill Country experience while still reflecting my modern tastes. I chose to have both my ceremony and dinner in the beautiful Great Room to avoid the Texas heat, which was a decision both my guests and I appreciated! Dancing was in the barn, and there was a nice breeze flowing through the doors that kept the space cool. The reason I first fell in love with this venue is that it feels like a home rather than an "event space." The on-site bride and groom's suites were so convenient and comfortable, and my guests enjoyed having so many options to explore between the great room, the upstairs and downstairs patios, the lawn, and the barn. I love this venue so much, I chose to hold my rehearsal dinner and a post-wedding Sunday brunch there as well! April was so incredibly kind and helpful both before the wedding (which was a long period of time - I booked way back in December 2015!) as well as at all three of my events. She truly cares about the people she hosts, and goes above and beyond to make sure your event is exactly the way you want it. I encourage anyone looking for a venue to visit Cricket Hill Ranch - I guarantee you will fall in love with it too!

We chose the venue not only because of the breath taking views and the incredible amenities, but we chose Cricket Hill because of April and Todd. They were incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and the most genuine people we have ever met. The venue is amazing and we had nothing but rave reviews of the venue from all of our guests at our wedding. Our wedding day was so relaxing and low stress because of Aubrey ( Cricket Hill day of coordinator) and April. At the end of the night, Todd made my husband and I feel welcome, appreciated, and valued with his word of appreciation. I couldn't recommend this venue enough to any and all brides or grooms. The venue in beautiful and the owners even more so. Thank you so much for the most perfect day we could've asked for Cricket Hill Ranch.

Service - we have been here about 4-5 times, but service has never been too great or too friendly. The bar on the beer side is always pleasant but the tasting bar side always has a bit of a tiny rude vibe - and I don't mention it ever but I'm in the wine industry and we don't see this normally. Also tonight we were asked to move to a different table as they didn't prepare for a Harry Potter event ahead of time just as we settled in after a rough day (and our young pup finally chilled out). It felt we were being pushed out and the other table was by the window/door that was glass so I was cold. My senior mom was cold after we had found a great spot that was warm for her. Live music tonight was also quite off - I wouldn't suggest this place anymore. I'm not sure if in the last year it has gone down hill but it's no longer worth the drive for a mediocre experience. They gave many potential beautiful spaces but they don't utilize them, nor update them, so the vibe is just outdated. No music on the speakers can be heard when there isn't live music. So sorry to not write the best review here but it's honest.

When we walked up to the counter the menu was on the bar top. We looked at the menu and placed our order with the man working behind the counter. He was really cool and answered our questions. After ordering he gave us a number and told us to seat ourselves. After figuring out where we wanted to sit we went to the water station and grabbed some water. We looked around inside at the decor and talked while we waited for our order. We started with two sharables and each ordered the burgers of our choice. Unfortunately when they started bringing out our food they made an error in how it was made. We told them, the took the wrong order back, and after awhile they brought us everything and apologized for the error. Our sharables were the Grilled Chimichurri Avacado which comes with a half avocado, corn, and tortilla chips, and the Hummus Board which comes with hummus, veggies, and pitas. Both of these sharables were tasty in different ways. The Grilled Chimichurri Avacado was delicious. You could taste all of the delicious flavors and the tortilla chips were strong enough to hold a mix of the ingredients. The Hummus Board was also very tasty. The Hummus was garlic flavored and the veggies were fresh and crisp. The pitas were warm and soft. For my main dish I ordered the Driftwood Cheeseburger. It comes with a beef patty, bacon jam, onions, pickles, sauce, and cheese. I opted for no cheese. The burger meat was really good. You could taste the Smokey flavor from the grill on the meat. The bacon jam was sweet but not overly sweet and gave the burger a sweet and savory flavor. The pickles added texture to the burger. It was a really good burger. I ordered my burger with a side of kettle chips which were nice and crispy. Overall it was a great place to visit. The service was good, the atmosphere was spacious, nice and bright, and the food was fresh and delicious.

Every visit has been incredible, from the food and service to the beautiful setting that somehow feels both laid-back and elevated at the same time. The property is massive, with indoor and outdoor seating that gives you all the elevated Hill Country vibes. You can walk around and see their chicken coop and bee hives, which they actually use for ingredients in their food and beer (how cool is that?!). Everything here ties back to their focus on regenerative farming and sustainability, and it truly shows in every bite and sip. Even the meat they use is raised up the street from them and has fed off the grains from their beer! They serve up not just great beer -- which has won awards -- but also wine, cider and NA options, making it a great spot for everyone. It's also super kid-friendly, with a kid scape area that keeps the little ones entertained while you enjoy a drink or meal. Speaking of meals... the food is next level! We've tried several dishes, and everything has been phenomenal. The fish and chips were some of the best we've had anywhere -- perfectly flaky with a thick, crunchy batter. The Wagyu burger was out of this world -- juicy, smoky, and cooked over a live fire. Everything down to the pickled veggies and sauces is made from scratch, and you can taste that attention to detail. They often have live music, daily specials, and friendly staff who always go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. Everyone we've encountered has been welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly proud to be part of such a thoughtful, local operation. Vista Brewing is the kind of place that perfectly balances craft, community, and cuisine -- and it's 100% worth the drive every single time!

What a beautiful venue!! I had never even heard of it until I got the invitation. Thurman's Mansion is part of the Salt Lick Family--located just East of the Salt Lick on 1826. Gorgeous iron gates pique the curiousity of drivers and beckon guests in. The venue is a large mansion overlooking well manicured grounds and vineyards. The view of the mansion from the back is just breathtaking. A huge porch covers the back of the building--dramatic pillars hold up a second story balcony. Wide steps lead up from the grounds to the back doors of the reception hallf/main room. I saw the mansion on two different days in two very different ways--Friday afternoon for the rehearsal, I saw it set up for an outdoor wedding. The sun shining down, bride practicing her walk from the sweeping steps of the mansion down to the corner of the lawn where the trellace waited, people lining the stone walls around the perimeter of the lawn watching the practice. I felt like I stepped into a Jane Austen movie--my friend had planned a glorious outdoor wedding on the grounds. Much to her dismay, God and the torrential downpours decided that it would be better to have the ceremony indoors. Rather than ceremony outside and reception inside, both ceremony and reception were inside. The staff had set up about 40 chairs where the dance floor would have been. Double doors were open at the back of the small seating area allowing the pitter-pattering of the rain outside as the background music while they exchanged vows. The reception was a seated dinner for about 150 guests. Salt lick does catering--very fun to have the family style dinner Texas Style w/ cobbler as dessert. A nice alternative to the traditional wedding scene. The porch was a great place for conversation and mingling--they had the bar and some hors d'eouvres set up out there while the guests waited for pictures to be taken. The rain let up for exactly an hour--enough time for outdoor pictures! I honestly think that my friend got the best of both worlds...a unique, beautiful, romantic and intimate indoor wedding ceremony complete with rain and tears. Then outdoor pictures overlooking the vineyards with the mist hovering over the land. I swear I could hear Mr. Darcy beckoning to me while I watched from the porch... My hat goes off to you, Thurman's Mansion. You successfully transported me to another time. Bravo.
