I have never written a review on anything. Its just not my thing. But in this case, I felt compelled to do so because of the overwhelmingly positive experience we had.
If you want the short version, here it is:
1. We had so much fun with Sarah and Erin, we wanted to get married again just so we could hang with them;
2. We hated the fact that they had to work during the wedding. We wanted them to have a great time like everyone else did; and, most importantly,
3. If you are getting married (or having a big party for that matter) and you don't hire Sarah and Erin, you will have made a HUGE mistake!
More detail? Here you go:
First, you will not find two cuter, more fun loving wedding planners anywhere. Don't bother to try. Guys in general don't seem to have much fun being involved in the planning of a wedding. I assure you I was no exception. But after our first meeting with Sarah and Erin, I was looking forward to the next one. We had several meetings throughout the process. Some were an hour or two long. Not because there were so many issues, but because we were having so much fun, we just wanted to enjoy our time with them.
Second, you will not find two more patient people anywhere. When I make up my mind about something, I can be a handful. Not one time did they seem frustrated or tell me to shut up. They even agreed with me once. Even when the bride wanted to strangle me and DID tell me to shut up, they remained professional, calm, and never lost their sense of humor.
Which brings me to the third point. These two have a wicked sense of humor. They love to laugh, and they love to joke. I think we spent as much time laughing as we did working. And through all our meetings, I never once felt like they were rushing us, forcing the process, or trying to finish up so they could go somewhere else. They made the process fun - if you can believe it can actually be fun.
All the fun notwithstanding, let's get down to the business of planning a wedding. I think it is important to note that I am very focused on three things:
1. Quality;
2. Price; and
3. Value (or bang for the buck if you prefer).
In fact, I am unrelenting in these areas. The reason this is important is that these girls ALWAYS managed to find a better deal for less money and higher quality, which resulted in increased value. They even managed to do it several times after they assured me there was NO WAY it was happening - but they made it happen. The point here is not just the result but the fact that they continued to beat the bushes to find what we wanted, for the price we were willing to pay, without sacrificing quality, DESPITE the fact that they didn't believe it could be done. I can pretty much assure you that you will not find that kind of commitment anywhere else.
The result of their work was a spectacular wedding that our friends still talk about. It was perfect for us - exactly what we wanted. I have never seen so many people have so much fun at a wedding. But that wasn't an accident. It was because everything went perfectly. And the reason it did was that these two spent the time to find out what we wanted and choregraphed everything to the minute. They made sure everything was as it should be and everyone was where they should be, when they should be. I saw one of their notebooks with the schedule of events that listed what was happening during the time the bride and bridesmaids were getting dressed and the groom and groomsmen were getting liquored up. I got a big laugh when I read in bold letters, "FEED JOHN!" They got to know me well enough to know that I am much easier to tame when I am not hungry.
I will close this review by saying again, "If you need wedding planners and do not hire these girls, you will be making a HUGE mistake."
My final points:
1. They are awesome in every way;
2. You will absolutely love them;
3. They make planning a wedding fun and easy; and
4. Hiring them will be the best decision you have ever made.
