It is hard for me to put into words the love I have for her. She truly went above and beyond what I could have imagined and helped me to bring my (somewhat crazy) wedding ideas to life! From the very beginning, I knew I needed a special person to help me pull off the "Wurst Wedding Ever"... I interviewed 3 wedding planners, including Caroline. Right off the bat, Caroline was the ONLY person to catch that I had the wrong date on my save the date mock-ups (I wish I could say that I did this on purpose, but NO it was really just a typo!). Not only does Caroline have an eye for detail, but her sense of calm and great attitude truly helped me to let go and actually relax and ENJOY my wedding day...something that I thought would NEVER happen (as I am a very type A personality when it comes to design and I prefer things done a certain way). Another thing that really stood out to me with Caroline is that she told me, "I am your wedding planner from the day you hire me." That is something rare to find in this crazy wedding market, and she was not lying. Caroline was truly in my corner from start to finish, and I could just cry happy tears forever thinking about how much she has supported us through our year + of wedding planning. Every crazy wedding idea I had, she took with stride and did not let it phase her one bit. I appreciated her drive and organizational skills from our very first emails. Our wedding was fraught with planning drama, and despite the fact that we only booked partial planning services, Helayne went above and beyond to help us out when our planning experience hit the rocks. She is the perfect balance of honest and accepting. I know our wedding was offbeat and one with many firsts for her, but she never made us feel like our choices were any less meaningful just because they weren't "traditional." However, she didn't shy away from having the hard conversations - she told us bad news plainly, and honestly, but always had a backup plan. She doesn't sugarcoat things, which, when you're planning an event, is a valuable asset. Despite our planning drama, I almost began to enjoy watching her handle vendors on our behalf - she has this masterful ability to question people in such a way that she gets a truthful answer from them, even if they don't want to give it. Maybe it comes from her history as a teacher! My mother described Helayne as a military general, and that is absolutely accurate. She is meticulous, prepared, grounded, realistic, and capable. And maybe has a secret twin, because I'm not sure how else she managed to be everywhere at once on our wedding day.

After spending multiple hours going over every single detail of my wedding (details that I had no idea would matter), I felt completely confident in Helayne! She did not leave one stone left unturned! My wedding rehearsal went by flawlessly, due to her patience, attention to detail and overall joyous personality! On the day of my wedding, Helayne worked proficiently making sure every detail we previously talked about was executed. And executed, it was! My setup was gorgeous, my bridal party was always in the loop and never once out of place. She made sure that my photographer was taking all the right pictures, my bridal party was getting ready at the right time, and that my bride to be was stress free! I never once lost confidence in Helayne and her services! After we said "I do", I was able to sit back, relax and completely enjoy my reception. She was even flexible when I decided during the reception to cut out the bouquet toss and other events because I simply wanted to dance! She never lost patience, even when my DJ turned out to need more help then he should of. Helayne went up and remind him what to announce and when to announce it (even though she provided him with a detailed itinerary). She made sure to check in with the my family/friends that were part of our reception to give them a heads up before they were needed. ( 10 minute notices before best woman & maid of honor speech, etc) I can not speak more highly of anyone! Without Helayne, I feel that my wedding day would have been a complete mess! At the end of the night, all my family and wedding party could talk about was how AMAZING Helayne was! Of course our experience only improved once we arrived. The location was simply breathtaking. Surrounded by lots greenery, the scenery was more than perfect for the warm and romantic wedding my fiancé and I had envisioned. As someone who had originally planned to have a ceremony outside, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I fell in love with the storybook chapel. Its elegant and timeless design truly stole my heart, and I gotta say I'm a sucker for the bell. Throughout the tour the staff went above and beyond to answer all of the many many many questions I had and laid out all the possibilities for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. In the main dining hall various dinner table seating samples were arranged, which was a great way to help us to visualize different decor directions we could go in. At the end of the tour we sat down and discussed the menu and bar options and were even given a few samples while we chatted. (Every bite was delicious btw) While we were encouraged to picture our big day at their venue a couple times throughout the tour, I loved that I never once felt rushed or pressured to make any huge decisions right then and there. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. Right before our wedding, our coordinator was replaced, which led to confusion over prices and our chosen menu. We met with the new coordinator and the owner, who assured us everything would be honored as agreed. (A meeting we requested) However, on the wedding day, tours of the venue were happening during our private, paid time. The new coordinator was noticeably rude to some of our guests and to our family member who was working security -- who happens to be a police officer. When dinner was served, it wasn't what we had selected. Our coordinator was made aware and to this day we have not received even an apology. Communication leading up to and during the wedding was inconsistent and frustrating. Additionally, the taxes and extra fees increased the total cost enough that the venue was no longer as affordable as advertised, which felt deceptive. Spinelli's has so much potential -- the space itself is stunning -- but our experience was overshadowed by poor communication, last-minute changes, and unprofessional behavior.
