Our extended family decided to go on Friday. There were 14 of us in all. The staff were very friendly and worked with us so that we could purchase a 'package' and divide it among the 14. There was a variety of games from 'old school' to newer games and there was plenty for every age. All of the games except one were working, which is better than most of these types of places. My grandson played the Willy Wonka 'coin' game and managed to get all nine character cards and a golden ticket card which is a big deal. The few who get this have their picture taken and placed in the machine - a 'wall of fame' so to speak. When we asked the staff to add his picture they said they were out of film. We offered to purchase some (Polaroid) and they initially declined saying they couldn't 'accept' it. After having a good discussion with the manager, they agreed that if we went to Walmart to get film, they would take the picture and post it, which all occurred. Not sure how they 'ran out of' film, but aside from that, all went well. Folks who aren't grandparents won't likely understand what grandparents will do for grandkids! read more

I ordered their sampler platter of four Chicken nuggets was raw in the middle. They didn't cook it all the way through. The blue cheese dressing was so liquidly it looked like ranch dressing. The mozzarella sticks and the sliders with cheese were not very flavorful. Also, my Guinness was flat, they also got rid of the Margarita pizza which is what I came for tonight. I wish I would've went somewhere else. I won't be coming back here for a while... hopefully to get their act together. This place is always a hit or a miss. You have to stop in for a fun time. I love to play pinball machines, but they have something for everyone. You use a card and collect tickets and they have a huge prize selection. Our family LOVES a good arcade- and this one is one of our all-time favorites! We have booked our daughter's birthday party here, and we make frequent weekend outings to Pinballz to enjoy some fun! First of all, I MUST give a HUGE shout-out to the staff! Everyone at Pinballz is kind, professional, polite, and patient. I would love to especially recognize Dev, and Sam, for going above and beyond our whole visit to Pinballz! During out most recent trip to Pinballz, a staff member named Sam COMPLETELY made our day unforgettably wonderful! We had misplaced our game card, caught up in the excitement of the day. I let the front desk know we had some misplaced items, speaking with a lovely young woman named Sam, and another awesome staff member named Dev. Sam gently assured me that she would take a look around for our lost items for me. I didn't have high hopes that we would find our missing stuff, honestly, only because the arcade was pretty busy and I understand the staff have other concerns to address. My heart was broken, I felt like my kid was going to be disappointed by a sad experience at a place we have always had the most fun at. Just as I started to spiral, Sam approached, holding out exactly the two misplaced items I'd been hoping to find! She, indeed, had taken a moment of her time, looked around, and found our misplaced belongings- and returned them! Absolutely saving our day- simply by going above and beyond to assist a lady and her daughter for a few extra minutes! What a game-changer! My kid and I couldn't thank her enough! Dev cheerfully assisted us while we checked out the prize bins, and was all smiles as my kiddo chose her favorite prizes! I was so impressed with the incredible staff overall, and I just needed to share what an excellent team is over at Pinballz, and hopefully inspire you to enjoy a fun day out! Pretty underwhelming for an arcade. Prices are pretty high per game ($2 or around $2 per game per person), and the prizes are not worth the money. Games do not feel clean, you will instantly feel all the germs that live on each game with each touch. Selection of games was okay, the games themselves didn't all work 100%. I had the Hobbit game not work entirely for me (the left bumper was out) and I did tell the staff as I was leaving. This is an okay place if you're looking for a quick game and a drink, but I don't think frequenting this arcade is worth your time or money'. read more

Rating just for escape room at this location. We came 15 minutes early. They weren't ready for us until 12 minutes after our game was supposed to start. When we walked into the trailer outside of the building, the girl told us it was extremely difficult. We were told we could use our phone flashlights, but they did not provide any regular flashlights for us and it was pretty dark. She also said there were only three clues total that we could have and they had to be at certain times. We did not escape. However, that is not the reason for the poor rating. I have been to five other escape room locations and I have never had this sort of disappointing experience. The girl at the end of our time, then explain that she has never seen anyone get out of this escape room except for one person who did it after returning a second time. I'm sorry but with a 0% escape rate why would you not increase the time allowed to at least an hour (currently only 45 minutes) and give more hints. This is supposed to be fun and it seemed impossible with getting stuck on one of the puzzles and only being able to get one clue. I'm so glad this was not my first escape room experience. It would have seriously hindered my love for the game. I'm also glad I did not pay full price. I came with a Groupon. read more

I checked out this establishment and took a few pictures to show my coworkers. We're searching for venues where we're able to have fun, drink, and eat. I went to Pinballz twice as we wanted to play laser tag, eat, drink, and have a good meal. Unfortunately, their laser tag is only set up for ten people at a time, and we need a place for 17 plus. From what I read in reviews and saw for myself, I believe Pinballz is a nice place for kids and adults. Laser tag is available and will be set up outside on a concrete pad. Staff will provide barriers to hide behind. I was informed by staff that for an hour, it cost $25 for each person, not including tax. I also saw an area just outside the building where live music is performed. There's a restaurant and seating inside or outside. There's a bar next to the restaurant seating. There are plenty of arcade games for kids and adult kids. A relatively large free parking lot, with disabled parking near the front entrance. The entrance has two doors, making the building accessible for wheelchairs. When I have a group of ten coworkers or less, I will be out there playing laser tag, but not hiding behind barriers. read more

Pinballz Kingdom is my new happy place! If Chuck E. Cheese grew up, got a cool job, and started hosting karaoke nights, it would be Pinballz Kingdom. This place has EVERYTHING -- wall-to-wall arcade games, a karaoke setup that lets you embarrass yourself in the best way possible, and food/drinks that make you stay longer than you planned. I came for "a few games" and somehow ended up belting out 90s power ballads and eating pulled pork nachos like I was at a medieval feast. There's something for everyone -- kids are running around happily, adults are running around less gracefully, and everyone's winning tickets and memories. I really enjoy the pinball machines and the selection they have to play. These games require maintenance more so than old school arcades. $1.30 isn't too bad for 3 balls to play vs .25 back in the day. I think it's cool that when you lose your money on a broken machine, the staff are able to look on their main computer which game you lost it to and how much. They are able to credit you back. Yay technology, ha. My donkey Kong and guitar hero skills are declining as well, boo. read more

We've been to this location a couple of times now. It's pretty fun and remarkably close to home! We don't have to drive all the way up to Austin to get our arcade fix. It's a moderate sized arcade with a decent selection of pinball machines, claw machines, "ticket" redemption games (all digital nowadays), shooters, etc. They have a booth for redeeming your tickets for some fun looking prizes. All the machines take their Pinballz card, which can be purchased and refilled endlessly from the kiosk. If you put $20+ on it, it waives the $1 fee to get the card. Also the card can be used at the bar! My brother and I enjoyed $2 mimosas because that's their Sunday special! :D They have food options as well. There's indoor and outdoor seating. We had fun tossing bean bags at the corn hole boards. They have lots of cool metal signs up on the fence. Overall the pricing is a little high but acceptable. Staff was friendly! We also went while Kenny's Funland Carnival was in town. They set up in the large vacant lot. Decent number of rides that have definitely gotten around... if you know what I mean (they're rough!). We love this place! My husband and I take our 9 year old son here to hang with his friends about 2-3 times a month. Worth every penny! The music is great, not too loud so we can actually talk to each other but still jam out a bit. The food has never disappointed us. I get the Nashville chicken sandwich and my husband gets the chicken salad. Both are delicious! We all love playing the games. A great place to hang with our adult friends while our kids have fun. Even our 2 year old enjoys the vibe. The staff is fun and always kind. A few months ago, our son accidentally ran up his card on a pinball machine (thinking he needed to swipe every time he used one ball, normally you get 3 balls per swipe) and the staff up front looked it up and fixed it!, We will continue to go back every few weeks per usual. It was my first time there but my daughter has been a couple times. They gave us preloaded cards with at least $25 worth of credit. It took little to no time for her to come to me needing more credit. Apparently after making a lap the games and everything vary in prices. After reloading her card it took time for her to come back. We were given pizza which I can honestly say was good. Like pizza place good. I was honestly surprised. The drink machine didn't have much of a variety but I was surprised to see horchata in. I didn't try it though, not much of risk taker when it comes to dairy and a drink machine. read more

I've been coming here with my son for years. Heck, even had a car club event here where we shelled out around $2500 for the space, food, and game cards. It was't the best experience service wise so I dropped my original star rating from 4 to 3. Now, sorry folks we're down to the bottom of the barrel. Let me just see if I can fiddle thru the Pinballz business model. You serve alcohol, which has a big mark up. You also serve food, pizzas are around a 50% mark up. Let's just say all the apps, burgers, sammiches, etc are around 30 %. Then, there's the games themselves. You know, you spend hundreds of dollars over many visits for your son to get something that you could have bought at Dollar General. You want that Xbox One? It literally (guessing) would cost in tickets $800 worth of play. Last visit I noticed ALL the games went up. What used to cost a $1...now $1.25. UNLESS, you're in some higher roller type category where it's cheaper. I inquired at the desk about the qualifications, scanned my card and said I would have had to spend hundreds more to get the better rate. Yes, everything goes up. BUT, Pinballz here's the rub. I'm a single dad now. Divorced Feb 2019, now those bi-weekly lets just have fun at your establishment... You've started pricing out your target market. Never believed I'd be paying $1.25 for PacMan. My bestie and I, who both live in Austin, traveled an hour down to Kingdom Pinballz for a Mardi Gras-themed murder mystery event. After having attended the Hillbilly BBQ-themed murder mystery event at the Pinballz Lake Creek location 2 weeks prior, we had high hopes for a similar experience down in Buda. Sadly, the experience was nowhere near our prior one. With the event starting a 7pm, I'd taken precautions for traffic (I live just over 1 hour away from this location) I left at 4:30pm, and arrived at Pinballz at around 5:45pm. Once I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by a staff member, and I asked him about the murder mystery for tonight and he looked at me as if this was the first time he'd heard of such an event. I know I was early, but he seemed to have no idea of what was going on that night as far as the murder mystery thing. I went and grabbed a drink at the bar while waiting for my frend. She arrived around 6:15, and we'd been advised to arrive by 6:30pm so that we can check in for the event and hopefully be assigned main characters in the event, so we can get into the characters and really enjoy the experience. That happened up at the prior Lake Creek location murder mystery 2 weeks ago, and we loved it. Sadly that did not happen. We spoke to several employees throughout the evening, wanting to know where we were supposed to go, and what was going on where. No matter who we spoke with, they all provided a different answer. Basically, it seemed like no one knew what was going on tonight at Kingdom Pinballz. We were directed to wait outside at the outdoor bar/patio setting. There were only 4 tables set up with decorations/etc, but around 30-40 people came outside as we were waiting, and it seemed like there were not enough tables set up with tablecloths/decorations, so something wasn't working right there. The event was supposed to begin at 7pm with dinner being served, then around 7:30pm we were supposed to start mingling with one another to find certain characters to follow our character objectives etc. We had not been given characters, we had no idea if we were even in the right place. No one said anything to us. Then, finally, around 7:30pm, the kitchen manager came out and said the event was starting inside in one of the other party rooms they had (we were previously directed to party room B, but the event was actually happening in party room A and A2...um...OK.....) We then went to check in and get our characters. At the Lake Creek murder mystery 2 weeks ago, my bestie and I both were given two great characters to play with a solid backstory and key involvement in the story. My bestie had emailed ahead and asked if we could pick characters beforehand. She was answered by a staff member who said they don't allow picking characters beforehand in case people don't show up. So... once they finally told us where to go check in and get our characters, we waited in line and did just that. Evidently, the hostess checking us in said they had called everyone on the list and given them a chance to pick what character they wanted to be. The reservation was in my name, and I got no such call. They wound up giving my bestie and I two practically irrelevant characters... "Friend 1" and "Friend 2"... this was not what we'd signed up for. My bestie went to talk to someone about it, I sat at our table to hold our position. She came back, and said "I don't think I want to stay for this." - I agreed, and we left. We'd spoken with a manager who had given me a full refund and he'd also given us a card with credits to play at a future date, so I appreciate that. My bestie was very upset and she made her thoughts known to the manager. I then provided some constructive feedback. I told the manager he should reach out to the staff at the Lake Creek location who had run the murder mystery 2 weeks prior. He should have them come down to work with them or train them on the best way to run any future events. I don't blame any one person or any group of persons for what happened tonight. I think it just came down to a lack of preparation, and perhaps a lack of training. That's not any one person's fault, I think it was just an oversight on whomever planned tonight's event. I asked if they had run any of these murder mystery events before, and the manager we spoke to said they'd only done one other one. I think that indicates there is a clear opportunity for training within the company. Since this was another branch of the same company we'd gone to prior, where it was run far better than tonight, they should share that information internally to make future events run more smoothly than what happened tonight. I sincerely hope that the staff at the Buda Kingdom location can learn from the staff at the Lake Creek location, on how to put on future murder mystery events, and hopefully their future events will run successfully, compared to tonight's debacle. read more

Escape Room NOT worth it Pinballz is a great establishment to go to for fun. We have frequented different locations over the years, and always have had fun...until trying the escape room. Simply put there is no escaping the aggravation the escape room will cause you. Our guide, who really was not at all helpful, told us he has never seen someone escape successfully. We asked for help with the answers when it was over, he admitted he didn't know. It was a memorable experience, but not in a good way. read more

Look I'm an honest guy and the only reason for me writing this review is because the guy at the counter was trying to bribe every customer with tickets for posting a good review. Now that just annoys me in general because the place is decent, but most of the arcade games are out of order, should be made out of order, or are broken. This place needs to be revamped with up to date games, services, and adjust their pricing. Please do not keep falsely reviewing this places quality for tickets that are meaningless!! read more
