Loved going to the drive ins growing up, and I feel like they have some great ideas here just poor execution. Food from the concessions was pricey and not that great. They have a bar "speakeasy" in the back so throughout the whole movie there was cars with their lights on driving back and forth to the bar. They tell you to get there a half an hour early but then the movie started close to a hour after the listed ticket time. Watching ET on the bigscreen was 10/10 tho

Psycho title screen; only 1 or 2 other cars. The weather was dreary and drizzling, and the perfect ambiance you would want for this movie.

Went to see Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho there tonight. The drizzling dreary weather made the atmosphere perfect! You can't get this kind of full-scale experience in a theater or at home. (and with the windows up in the truck, I don't have to worry about bothering my neighbor if I wanna make a comment to my husband or check my phone)

This is such a gem!! The staff was super friendly and gave us the low-down when we pulled up. You park in a gravel lot and watch the show. It's a cute experience and they have classic commercials playing. The concessions stand has movie theater food including burgers/pizza etc. The food was pretty good. We went down to the speakeasy and it's incredible. Love the decor, so unexpected. Interesting drinks. They had karaoke night on Friday which was fun.

I had a great time here. The employee who was working was excellent. Highly recommend for a night out.

Mama Merlot's - A truly well made Old Fashioned and an excellent Last Word

This is a review for Mama Merlot's, the private club at the Drive in. When we were looking for places to go when visiting Austin, we saw that one of the local burlesque troupes - the Jigglewatts - were performing while we would be there. The place in Buda, Mama Merlot's, was a hoot. It's an underground speakeasy (actually underground!) under a purple shipping container at the back of a drive-in movie theater. The room was small but pretty lavishly decorated, and the craft cocktails were surprisingly excellently crafted. There were 3 dancers and who did 2 numbers each, and an MC who sang. The staff there was so friendly and helpful. It was a great evening!

Visited Doc's last night. It's my first experience with drive-in theatre, I really enjoyed the old-school ads before the movie starts. It's also good thing to do during self-quarantine.

There was also a Facebook ad with the helicopter egg drop advertisement and that was taken down during the event.

I was lied to by the people at Doc's Drive In. They stated on Facebook that they were having a helicopter egg drop with 5,000 eggs. Then when we went there was no helicopter. There was a small pampers box of eggs with only starburst pieces in the eggs. Each kid (there were less than 50 kids) got less than 10 eggs. This event costed $10 per child and wasn't worth it. There were definitely not 5,000 eggs. There were less than 500. They also lied on my Google review saying I was name calling and yelling at their employees. I never did once and am only pointing out their lies. That is defaming me as a person when I only speak truth. My children left the event crying and the Easter event they were excited about ended up ruining their day.

We threw some bean bags in the back of the jeep, packed some snacks and came here for date night -- It was awesome. Highly recommend checking out the secret underground speakeasy if you can get in, too!

2 screens, both played double features. We watched The Goonies and Adams Family.

Had an enjoyable night with my husband at the drive in. The Denny's have come up with this fun concept for a drive in theater. Great menu items - we enjoyed the nachos, popcorn and couple cans of Shiner Bock. The bathroom was nicely designed. There are a few outdoor games - corn hole, a large connect 4 and jenga blocks. There are also a few tiny movie themed homes on site for weekend getaways. The staff is all very friendly. Definitely has a family friendly outdoor ice house kind of feel. I look forward to seeing the concept unfold when the below ground speak easy/ restaurant is built.

Docs is awesome! A local GEM, right here In Buda. What a great concept and excellent design. Great atmosphere, and family friendly. Date night with the husband, enjoyed live music, cold beer and some amazing BBQ fries. A+++ cant wait to start making this a family tradition. Looking forward to embracing the local entertainment and upcoming events sponsored by Docs!

They were closed after we purchased tickets. No email advised us they were closed due to technical problems. We drove 2 hours for nothing!

Halfway through the movie, the colors "glitched" with unpleasant shades of pink and grey. Nick and team attempted to reset the film, but to no avail, so the movie continued in that condition. But Nick was cheerfully ready with a remedy, as he personally greeted each of us at the exit door with an apology, EVO passes, and refund. I'm appreciative of management and EVO who treat their patrons like they would want their own family to be treated. You gained my trust and faith!

I had a digital receipt but it apparently never was received by the employees with this horrible system. Was given two free popcorn codes because of the issue. When I tried to redeem those codes, they failed using the same system. At this point I give up on this theater. It was fine when you pressed a button to get service, but ever since they switched to using QR-based phone ordering it has gotten worse. Not to mention that every now and then a movie that has subtitles or captions will get cut off like it did during predator badlands so you just don't know what's going on. You're better off either seeing a movie at home or driving up to South Austin to see a movie at Cinemark, Regal, or even AMC.
