YES YES YES!!! SO MUCH FUN!!! I can't recommend this tour enough. We went on the van tour and went to three different locations. Our tour guide took time at every location to thoroughly go through all of the "Haunted Tales" and give all of the background information. It was definitely an interesting and unique tour that would be a big miss if you come to Austin and didn't take this tour. My favorite location was the second stop, which is now an Indian restaurant. I don't want to give too much away, but this felt the most haunted of the locations. It took about 2 1/2 hours-ish so plan accordingly. read more

All right to start off with I have to say how easy it was to get an adjustment for our party of eight. So typically the van is only able to hold so many people and in order to make accommodations for our party, the reservation was able to be combined with a second reservation to allow the group to be all together. Next it is super cool that you can bring your own beverages if you would like and that definitely allowed the group to be a little bit more silly with each other nothing too crazy, and I believed our guide Matthew really enjoyed the high energy we were bringing to the tour. The tour overall was super fun and educational regarding the different historical landmarks within Austin. The ending at the Littlefield house was super interesting because it tied into the Bell Tower incident and how those two individuals though decades and decades apart had similar visions within their stories. Highly recommend Matthew with his Scooby-Doo mystery van vibes and his awesome Halloween playlist. We are so excited that we got a chance to do this for my sister's bachelorette party. And also great suggestions given by Matthew regarding speakeasy bars and pubs around the area that you would never have thought were there. read more

The highlight of our trip to Austin! There was so much Austin history at each stop and our guide made sure to make a fine distinction between legend, verifiable history, and information uncovered more recently. My sister and I accidentally got a private tour in the van since another group backed out, the AC and space was greatly appreciated. The hearse looks SO COOL, but also not as comfy. The tour is BYOB but they provide chilled pop and water along with plastic cups. Masks are provided upon request, which we were thankful to receive, but not required. Maddy was a treat and is highly recommended. She had tons of information outside of the regular tour and was well informed and able to provide perspective on other bits of both Austin history and current events. read more

We had Matthew as our tour guide and he did a fabulous job of telling the ghost stories in a way that was both informational and entertaining, but without coming across as cheesy. I think the hearse could be more comfortable -- it wasn't till the end that we realized that sitting on the floor was more comfortable than trying to sit on the narrow seats. Matthew was very accommodating and made pit stops for us when we need to refill our booze meters. My only grievance -- and I feel very strongly about this -- is that the third story with the Littlefields needs to be exchanged with the last story with the little girl. My girlfriend and I found the Littlefield story to be quite amusing and left us chattering and laughing ... and then we went to the last stop where we were told about the girl (no spoilers). Needless to say the event was left on a pretty depressing note and left us feeling like it would've been better to leave laughing than to leave with tears in our eyes. Please consider swapping these two stories. read more

A ghost tour in a hearse for Valentine's Day?! You bet!! That's how we roll.. the Munsters have nothing on us! What a complete and utterly fantastic blast of a time! Rawhide, Nickie, my wife and I went the unconventional route for Vday and I can honestly say I can't remember a Valentine's Day that I enjoyed more! Great company, A fantastic tour guide, A stop and stare ride, And my more then wonderful wife! I had a BLAST! The tour provides, soda and ice, but you can bring your own drinks... our company brought the "soon to be famous" Rawhide drinks... enough for all... THANK YOU VERY MUCH! We all arrived at the designated meeting location, loaded into the Hearse, and we were off! The transportation is a converted old hearse right out of the Munsters. By the way they say the tour fits 7 people... I can't imagine 7 adults in here... it was hard for us 4... one more person would have been one more too many... maybe if 3 of the 7 are no more then 4' and less then 40 lbs?! However for the 4 of us it was perfect! Our tour guide (Diane) took us to 4 locations. At each we were able to get out, go in, be taken into "the back room", and be told not just about supposed ghosts, but also about the truly fascinating history of each location. It was entertaining and very interesting! We went to the Driscoll, the Tavern, the Little House on UT Campus, and Clay Pit. The tour was spectacular! We started at 8 and we were done by about 10:30. The whole experience was more fun then when the pigs ate my sister! And that was a good time! It was a wonderful experience shared with great friends! What a fun, unique experience! The tour was really cool hearing so much history and odd stories about our city. Our guide, Matthew, was so fun and told the stories with so much enthusiasm and detail. Overall, we had a great time but I did give it 4 stars because it wasn't really the spooky night we thought we were getting into, it was more of a history lesson.
