I made the special target at the top

Great experience here as axe throwing is one of my favorite hobbies. Was in town visiting and my friend new this is my schtick! We stopped by on a mid Saturday afternoon and were able to get a lane for 2. We had Callie as an instructor and while I fancy myself as a very good axe thrower, she showed me some tips and motions that enhanced my talents. They whole staff is pretty cool actually. When I return to Austin, this will definitely be one of my stops!!

Came to Urban Axes for an event, and I'm glad I did. You get assigned a coach that teaches you how to throw an axe double handed, single handed, and how to throw a large axe. Not only do they teach and coach you, but they are also your biggest cheerleaders! Shoutout to Babs! This is definitely a great spot to hangout with friends, family, or even go on a date. One thing to note, its BYOB so make sure your bring your drinks and snacks. Can't wait to visit again.

It was a gloomy night and we wanted to do something indoors so we went to check Urban Axes out on Riverside l If you're looking for a new hobby or just wanting to try something new, come to @urbanaxes Indoor axe throwing. They offer walk-ins for recreation or if you're in to compete - join a league! Either way, it's a lot of fun. So get out of the sun/rain/hail and inside this fun spot! Friendly and very helpful staff!

Great experience and would definitely recommend coming here for any celebration or just to have fun! Staff is personable, friendly, and filled with great puns. Shoutout to Scott for letting us put the axes in his axe hold. BYOB so keep that in mind before you head over. For what should be obvious reasons wear closed toe shoes only. Being a first timer the coaches did a great job of emphasizing safety and providing feedback on throws. If you've been curious about throwing an axe you have to come down and try it. It took me about 5 throws to feel comfortable, but the coaches were really helpful in building my confidence. Excellent staff that will ensure safety and fun for everyone!

Urban axes is a Great place to hang out with friends and family! With an exceptional way to stress relief, you can throw axes at a board. Although it may seem easy, it actually is quite difficult. However, do not fret cause the staff on hand are extremely helpful and will give you tips and tricks. They are truly there to hype you up! It is certainly a place to check out!

We came here for a fun little Sunday date and had such a blast! Our coach, Brandon was very informative and also fun to throw axes with! I've thrown axes at other establishments but never had the opportunity to learn multiple throws (like underhand) or try different axes. Brandon also taught us a few games to play and explained more advanced play like the leagues they have at the facility. By the end of our hour we were both basically able to throw a bullseye on command--still working on that clutch though. Thanks Urban Axes and Brandon! We'll definitely be coming back for more fun!

I was here for the Yelp Elite event and Urban Axes never disappoints! The location is great and plenty of parking even better! The employees here are like family and treat the customers the same and it truly shows! Tomas hosted the Yelp Elite event and I saw him manage this by himself which was very impressive and getting everyone situated and accommodating everyone super quick! We appreciate all the hard work he does for us (He should get a raise from Yelp headquarters...lol). We had a blast at this event and met some awesome people! I also have to give a shout out to our Axe coach definitely humble & knowledgeable! I will definitely recommend this spot to anyone interested in learning or relieving some stress!

This place is absolutely amazing!! Shoutout to the coaches who helped me here (i was finally able to get an axe on the board lol.) Babs was so helpful in giving me little tips and tricks on how to throw for both me and my boyfriend, as well as Leo who gave me his own axe to help me throw better! Izabella was also so nice and helpful!! i would recommend this place for a fun night out with your friends or a date night. Its a really cool experience and everyone is so nice! Even if you don't know how to throw axes everyone is super helpful so its easy to learn. There are also multiple sized axes as well as boards so you can pick and choose.

Fun place! Had a great time at this Yelp event. Everyone was super friendly and my coach, Jake & Izi, were knowledgeable and great teachers. I haven't really thrown axes before, except one time, and felt not so confident. But they taught us how to throw and we all had a good time giving it a go. Definitely will return and y'all should check it out!

Pulling up to this place I didn't know what to expect. It looks kind of "old" outside but as soon as you enter it's another story. This place is about having fun. When I arrived there were probably 30 people in front of me but check-in went super quick. Before I knew it I was throwing axes at a target. Our "coach" gave us really good instructions and was very patient and fun. After a quick warm up I got the hang of it and started hitting every shot. Mix in a bit of wine and some pizza (BYOB) and it really does make for a great date night or team event. I have gone to a few other axe throwing places across the country (Cali, Philly, New York) however this was really one of the best times I have had throwing axes. In fact I am thinking about holding a team event there. Take your spouse, a friend or do a team event and I am sure you won't be disappointed l. Bonus is you actually get a bit of a workout while having all of that fun :)

Well I did not expect to enjoy axe throwing as much as I did! Honestly, I walked into this VERY nervous, I was having palpitations even before attempting the first round, and wanted to take a break early on due to anxiety. But, I owe it to the fantastic instructors to really make you feel comfortable and provide the necessary advice to improve your performance. Their utmost priority is your safety, which was extremely reassuring! We eventually got the hang of it, and we're having loads of fun in no time. We were taught the safety basics first, then different throws (didn't realize how creative you could get), and played some one-on-one games. Such a fun experience!

My family and I had an amazing time throwing axes on Fathers Day. I really didn't expect it to be fun for me, it was something for my husband and son to enjoy together but it was surprisingly great. My son and husband had done it before, but they said the other place was set up more like a video game with interactive screens and such. This was very different--our coach took the time to work with us until we could actually throw an ax properly, observing us and correcting our form with each throw. At this place they take ax throwing seriously as a sport and know their stuff and it really shows. I would highly recommend it for anyone, not just manly men. Lol! You will be able to do it by the end and it will be fun.

Yo, this place is legit an amazing joint for work gatherings. The communication that lead up to my company event was superb. I fly all over the country to help with logistics for my company's events and when an establishment makes my job easier that's a A+ in my book. The staff is also super cool. CLUTCHHHHH!!!

If you're down to get a bit silly in public and solve riddles while exploring the area, this is for you. Bring water, a hat, and good walking shoes - it can take up to 2 hours but is very fun with a group of 4. Also, make sure someone has strong internet connection - it is necessary for some of the clues. You only walk 2-3 blocks one way and there's plenty of places with shade and tables to rest in between, so it is very doable for anyone of any fitness level and the puzzles are accessible to all. Plus, Mission Control is responsive for when you're stuck and meets you in person throughout the experience! Very fun! And lucky for us, it was a cool-ish summer day, so not horrible for walking around. Become a master of time travel!

I was tasked to plan a fun team building activity for some out of town quests. So I thought this would be great as the weather here in Austin was cooling down to get outside of the box. As we know when it's hot here, it's super hot and that's just no fun at all. There were 12 of us, and we broke up into two groups and were each given a suitcase that we were tasked to do different adventures in East Austin. We were greeted by our tour guide, who gave us everything that we needed to make sure that we had an incredible afternoon. And we did. I could not recommend this more if you've got five or more people coming in I wanted to go out and have some fun in Austin. You'll make lots of memories have lots of laughs and see lots of things you may not have seen before. So don't be afraid that people are gonna be bored, because they won't. Lots of great memories :) thank you One more thing. You'll want to wear some shoes that are comfortable. As you will be doing some walking. Also - choose your end spot - the restaurant we had was not my favorite.

Toby was a very friendly and genuine game guide that made us feel great about our accomplishments and CJ was an awesome and generous host that got us hyped and left us feeling elated. I was visiting from The Bay Area, California for my birthday, and we decided to play The Heist. There were 5 of us, and 4 had played escape rooms before (not at this company). The room design was awesome, very intricate and detailed, and the puzzles were really well done and very fun (Zelda Ocarina of Time vibes in one puzzle). It had plenty of things for us to do and find solo, and then still come together to solve the puzzles as a group. We smoked it, escaping with over 20 minutes left, with no clues, so we were ecstatic! We got out of the room and much to my surprise they made me a hand-drawn birthday card!! So incredibly sweet, and totally made my day. Coming off of our high of escaping The Heist, we decided to try their hardest room, Prison Break (with a discount for playing same day!). We were split into two cells at first, which proved difficult because we weren't communicating as well as we should have been. We needed a little bit of guidance in the beginning, but once we were out of the cells we started working better as a whole team. The final room was my favorite, I completed a really cool chess puzzle and then there was a detailed bookcase one too that I managed to figure out! I personally felt very accomplished in this room and we managed to escape with around 7 minutes left! Overall, these rooms are meticulously designed and sets were immersive. The puzzles were clever and made you feel very smart when you figured them out, which made the rooms that much more fun. They really focus on teamwork, which amplifies the connection and good vibes of your friends and family. Guidance was kind and not overbearing, allowing you to struggle on your own before gently nudging you towards what was blatantly obvious in hindsight. You can tell that the staff there have a unique bond and really enjoy making the guests feel special. They made my birthday a super memorable one and I'm so happy I decided to come here. Please check them out, you'll be glad you did. My birthday was the bestest because of you all! Thank you so much Toby and CJ!!
