Highly recommend! We went with about 18 kids ranging from 8yrs to 11yrs old for a bday party and only a couple had done it before. The rest were excited and nervous - just like the parents. Nick our referee was absolutely amazing with the boys and made sure they all understood the rules and took the safety instructions seriously. He connected easily with them which put me at ease. Nick also answered all their questions and repeated the rules when we were at the fields. We then had cupcakes, food and drinks right after at the picnic tables. Definitely would come again! I booked a private party for my company and the manager was very friendly and very professional, explaining the rules to everyone and made it a blast for the whole team. We all had fun and most importantly we all stayed safe. We were all a hot mess afterwards, but they were kind enough to provide us with trash bags to cover our car seats. Also, the place is about a half hour out of Austin, so taking an Uber back would have been really challenging but the manager was nice enough to give some of my teammates a ride. read more

I want to start by saying this is an amazing place to for some fun. I have go a here loads of times and the place never disappoints. I recently just went this past Saturday and played from opening to closing, and I brought one of my buddies and we both had an absolute blast. the fields are tons of fun to play and they are well made. however if you are looking to play here or go here for some fun with the family expect a semi-pricey day. however the prices are pretty similar to any other paintball place around so it's that bad. another thing I will add is about fields, all the fields are super fun to play on and provide lots of good cover. however there are a couple things I would love to see. First being the trenches. while this place adds some really cool features like their trenches and bunkers I personally think they are kinda washed out from the years and have been getting shorter and shorter. I would love to see the trenches dug deeper at least to torso height. I found myself crawling on my stomach in hopes to not get shot. My second thing I would love to see would be some new wood walls. I think throughout the years the wood wall cover has broken down a lot and I find myself trying to hide behind what feels like a couple wood boards. I think if they built up the wood walls a little more that way it could provide you some better cover that would be great. But other than that this place is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun time. All the refs I have ever gotten while playing there have been awesome and are very nice. I must also add the fact that they have tons of rental gear. so even if you don't have gear to play with or simply forgot it they over masks and guns for you. This place was amazing! We had so much fun. I had never been paintballing before and they did a good job thoroughly explaining everything so I felt totally comfortable going out there for the first time. The maps are really cool and they have real legit trenches and some cool forts and structures. All of the workers were very friendly and helpful and our referee was really cool and definitely fair and helped call out when you got hit to get back to the out box. No idea what some of these bad reviews are on here because that was SO much fun and a fantastic experience overall. Party was on November 13,2021. Horrible experience and horrible staff. My son had his 17th birthday party with 8 friends and they caught kids stealing their extra ammo in the designated place the "referee" said she watches. She was no where to be found due to being short staffed and busiest weekend(per manager). They took a break and placed their guns on the designated "break" table,came back to find 2 of them missing. They asked staff and she said maybe it was cleaned up and mistaken for the "put back"table. We wrapped it up early and was promised a full refund which has still not been given. I've called,left messages,sent txt messages and emailed with no return call on anything. You guys are awful there. We will never be going or suggesting again. read more

So much fun! They have really awesome setup for paintball. I just wish they were open more often.

Man, I've paintballed before but this is straight up how you should paintball. I came here this past weekend for my bachelor party. My guys set this up and what a way to spend some quality time with your best buds than light each other up!! First and foremost, I'd have to say the owners (husband and wife) and the employees are fantastic people. They are really kind and genuine people who really enjoy owning their business. How do I know this? Our group spent 30 minutes after we were done just talking to the owner. Super nice guy. Told us some funny stories and just how he and his son built all the different fields. Impressive. His wife works the cashier and set you all up with the waivers and the staff gets your ready with the field. I did not catch the owners names. To refute a earlier Yelper's post, I can tell you these guys are definitely not racist. Once we were prepped by the owner of all the rules and regulations we were handed off to our referee and "guide," Mason. I say guide because this site is HUGE! You snag your mask, grab a gun and start walking. Mason grabbed the box of paintballs and led the way. We played for maybe 2 hours, no more than 3 times on a field and each round was pretty quick (the majority of us just ran into the crossfire). Mason was super chill - we were also - and let us do our thing. I will say being older (in our 30s) and just being cool dudes helped. I bet they could get a sense that we weren't going to mess with anything and most importantly, anyone. You can take your time at each course and the other parties just go around to other open fields. All of the refs keep in contact with one another and attempt to make it flow from field to field, doesn't always happen but that's how it is. We followed the instructions and most importantly made sure everyone was on the same page, communication is key because the ref can't really see everything. You really play an honor system. I don't know much about the costs because my guys handled it but it seems like you pay per person and by the paintballs/box. You have an option to include smoke grenades and they are charged per use. We played for about an hour, took a break as long as we wanted and then played for another hour. They gave us water - not sure if it was included. The fields are really cool. They have different feels to them. Some have trenches, others are flat, one is inclined, bunkers and just a mix of styles that will make it entertaining for as long as you play. One has a boat built in! The trench one is by far the hardest, but man it feels pretty cool going through one. We didn't even get to check out all the fields. After our break, the second time around, the employees asked if I wanted to wear a costume. I ended up wearing a Thunderbuddy Teddy Bear onesie. They had other ones too - I should've worn the pink bunny. Something to keep in mind is that the address takes you to the next door neighbor - for whatever reason. When you're close, look for a big sign that says Austin Paintball. Sounds weird and straightforward but we took Lyfts to and from and our drivers both went to the wrong address. Again, the owners and staff made the experience what is was. I don't know why so many people have negative reviews, especially about the staff. I can only imagine the things they have to deal with. They are dealing with people shooting paintballs at each others - sometimes at them; I'd be mad too if someone was being an idiot. They attempt to create a safe and fun environment and people probably don't follow the basic rules of safety. You can get really hurt if you're being a dumbass. Be cool, don't be a jerk, listen to the ref and follow the rules. Sounds simple but you'll have a good time by doing this. This was the best part of my bachelor party. I came here with a group of 17 this past Saturday around 12 PM. We had our own private group for a Bachelor party. I like this because I hate playing with strangers. It was $25 a person to play, but you have to pay extra for paint balls of course. For a group of 17, we ended ordering a bunch of cases. I lost track of how much we ordered, but I believe everyone ended up chipping in an extra $25-$30 after we were done. We had a lot of fun, but this place is definitely overpriced and the maps weren't all that. They don't have any maps with inflatables! Also, they don't provide you any chest gear/protection. We came here on a sprinkly day with around 30 people. It was a weekday and they opened the place just for us. Paying got a little confusing. Grant and Bridget & some mean dude we don't even remember his name helped us. I felt lucky we got put in Grant's group. They have several different fields, and we got to try a few. The guns worked pretty well, but the goggles kinda sucked. The dude who has no name was hella rude, and can't math for shit. He treated us like we were dumb... does he have a lightning tattoo? You will be better off with another competing paintball course! Unbelievably unprofessional and condescending staff. You only have one ref, while most other places provide 2 or more. There is no team flag or indicator which team you are on, so if you are coming at your opponent from anything other than straight ahead, you may get tagged from one of your teammates, since we all were wearing same camo gear. Other courses have rest areas at each course and a way to fill up co2 tanks along the way as well as complimentary water. Everyone working here seemed like they were rookie and rude, especially our ref, who didn't even know all games to play. The courses themselves were not particularly well thought out and felt like it was poorly put together with little more than boards nailed together. It was as if we happened upon someone's backyard Paintball itself is an awesome idea and you will have fun but management needs to look at how real paintball courses are run and take notes. read more

I'm not a paintball aficionado by any stretch of the imagination. I thought this place was well run; the owner was really nice along with all of their staff. Had a taco at the truck there that was pretty darn good as well. They made it a point to ask if we were having a good time throughout the day and then at the end of the day they wanted to make sure they got feedback of anything they could do better. Its VERY rare for a business to do that. Everyone in our group had a wonderful time (outside of nursing out welts and bruises - which is expected) Other groups running around seemed like they were having fun too. Good way to spend a Sunday. Equipment was all almost brand new and worked well, courses were all fun, not too far from town - would totally go back. They were big about safety, which is great for everyone involved to make sure everyone comes back relatively unscathed. The cost of 30-40 bucks per person (500 rounds) was well worth it for 3-4 hours of fun. First of all, this review isn't for Austin Paintball's organization, or any of the people there. They were all top notch. I would recommend coming here to paintball, as all the courses (I played on 3 out of 7 i think) were fun and full of great places to hide behind. And all the staff I talked to were friendly and helpful. The reason they get 2/5 stars is because I bought a groupon-type thing from Urban Dealight, where 6 people can pay for $30 (only $5 each! great deal!). What they neglected to mention on the deal, or in any of the fine print, is that each person is obligated to buy 500 paintballs (cost: $25), regardless of if you feel like you're going to use that many or not (I didn't run out after 3 hours of play). So all of the sudden, your $30 outing for 6 people turns into a $180 outing. Every person is forced to buy 500 paintballs, even if you think you could split those between 2 people (which you totally could), or if you only want to play for 2-3 hours (which was me, and I gave away half my extra ammo). I understand that paying $30 per person to play paintball is still a pretty good deal (they say their group rate is $35/person), but man, they shouldn't force everyone to buy 500 paintballs individually. They don't let you bring in outside paintballs either, you have to buy them all there (which is a fair rule, since you don't want anyone shooting you with frozen, staining, or really old paintballs). Well, that's my rant for the day! They should really not force each person to buy 500 paintballs. I'm sure it's a great business tactic, but it kinda left a sour taste in my mouth, especially since my other group of friends had a 2-person paintball groupon and they had 500 paintballs (to split between both of them) included in the price, for $15 each, including equipment rental. I had been paintballing before, and I knew this deal didn't specifically say it included paintballs, so I'd probably have to get some there, but I had no idea that I would be forced to spend $25 just to play, with no other options (well, I guess I could have got 1000 for $45 but... that's a lot of paintballs). They should either let people split paintballs, or offer 250 for $15, or something. Guess they knew they "had me by the (paint)balls" since I just drove 30 minutes to get out there. read more

My son had his 13th birthday party here, and wanted to go back for his 16th. He and his friends had a great time, and they got to play on some new fields as well. They all have the bruises to prove they had fun, and had to compare to see who got the most. The staff is great, and safety is a great concern. They have a full safety briefing (I guess Lori D. didn't pay attention, as they tell you not to shoot too close), and they absolutely won't let you play without your mask, since one stray shot to an eye will blind you permanently. But the rest of you is up for grabs. I even mentioned when scheduling that the boys had a lot of fun playing in the mud last time, as it had rained the day before, and they said they would try to be sure it rains again. And it did! I can't guarantee they will give you the weather you want, but rain or shine, my son had a blast. read more

We showed up with Groupons for two groups of six adults on a Sunday. They have a bunch of fun courses ranging from more traditional paintball maps to interesting maps featuring catwalks and trenches. We played elimination, capture the flag, and other game types. It wasn't too busy on a Sunday and we were able to have a lot of flexibility in the type of game we played and the size of the group we played with. The customer service was especially good. During a large game, some of the kids we were playing with stole a bunch of the ammo we had purchase on-site and stashed. The staff replaced it for us, which they didn't have to do and really improved the overall quality of our experience. We played for about 4 hours and it cost about $30 per person with the Groupon and extra ammo. Would do it again any time read more

I remember about a year or so back I went and you said I couldn't bring my electric anymore because of yelp reviews said they "hurt more" just because their more accurate than the rentals. I had the best time and have not one single complaint. Being first timers and having no clue what to do I was impressed with the staff and their ability to ensure that not only my friends and I were safe but everyone in our group was on the same page. Been there twice! Had an absolute fantastic time! I usually go with a group of about 10 players. No one has had complaints yet. I've been to a few other paintball places too and they all very. I think Austin Paintball just opened up early to mid 2011 and they've definitely taken off. They have 5 fields: Spools; Ties & Tires; Woodsball; Gauntlet, Barrels Some are better than others, just depending on the game type and how many people you have. Some fields seem like that one side has an advantage.. but no field is perfect and good paintballers should be able to make the adjustment and turn that advantage around! The owner and refs are awesome. When i went back the second time they remembered my name and who i was... that's always nice. They are super friendly, relaxed, and lad back. Mad Props to Clay (the owner) & Tyler (the ref). Its nice when the ref lets you play whichever way you want (as long as safe). Some refs at other fields are too uptight and seem like they are forced to be there. i didn't feel that way with Austin Paintball. So far no complaints, and i'm definitely coming back for more. They are in the process of getting a couple more fields. The more variety the better for sure! They have a lot of land, so i'm excited to see what they can do with it! read more

We went with a party of 10 for my nephews 21st birthday and 3 minors to play splatter ball. Now as you notice I did give 5 stars and I'll say why. First off upon checking it I felt it was a very smooth check in and friendly. Yes there was a wait but we aren't royalty so of course there are line where ever we go! Also to add to this check in we were given the Groupon Rate ($13 without the PURCHASE online) because I called ahead of time and what made it even better was that the sweet lady checking us in took it upon herself to ask the owner if he would honor Turbo Paintball for us. The owner did it without any questions. The Groupon is only for Regular Paintball and we were first timers so Turbo has a smaller paintball / less impact and was PERFECT since we had more woman to men ratio! Second I wanted to give a 3 Star only because of the process we experienced with the kids Splatterball. I for some reason pictured this fun very eventful paint flying everywhere with the kids guns ... NOT the case. There was a young kid about 17 years old (if he was older I'm sorry but he was very immature and not very professional) so I gave the business the benefit of the doubt. My two 9 year old girls and one 6 year old boy complained about him. Said he was very short and kinda rude. Now with that being said I didn't feel it was too serious to let the manger know or I would have addressed it myself. Since we as adults had enough fun and at a discount rate I felt it washed out. However never again would I allow my kids to do "Splatterball" (if it remains like this) or whatever it's called. It was over priced (my opinion) $29 for a not so fun eventful afternoon. I was hoping the kids would have just had a blast but instead it was a flop! Lastly the person who was with us at the fire place explaining to us about the do's and dont's ... he was very serious about the activity and I didn't mind that. Safety first right! So to be nice yea I gave 5 stars but you managers or the owner have to do something about Splatter ball. Make it more fun for he kiddos. Maybe throw some life size targets or even popping some balloons as targets. Maybe when you do something like that we can revisit at your expense and give an updated review. Really boring courses, and I do not think they calibrate people who bring their own guns. So there is not a level playing field using rented guns vs people who bring their own 200mps gun. The courses we played was crap. If you are looking to paintball go somewhere else. read more

I've taken my kids here three times and stayed to play once. Twice they've used the "low impact" and once the regular. Both hurt, but that's part of the game. Each time I've called they've been prompt to return phone calls and when I get there they have my reservations, which they hold for no charge. The employees are friendly and the place offers all sorts of seating in the shade for when the players are taking a break or for parents and siblings who are waiting out the game. It costs about $27 a person which I guess sounds steep, but they provide all the gear, the guns, and a bunch of paint for that. They don't mind if you throw a party on their property either. Lots of birthday parties go down at this place. The bathrooms are a bit of a hike, but they are mostly clean, which is about all you could ask for at a place like this. This place is a treat for us and my kids look forward to each visit. It's awesome for planning a last minute get together or party too!! read more

Honestly the staff is horrible, some staff member told my son his life was worth less than some guys paintball gun. The instructions on the field took forever and was longer than the actual round. We took about a dozen or so kids out here for my son's 12th birthday. It was a mixture of boys and girls. Going in, I had no idea what to expect. I was elated at the outcome. The kids had so much fun that the adults joined in too! Many of the kids said this was the best birthday ever. Our referee was outstanding and really helpful, catering to the kids feedback. So the different fields were decent and the experience was ok up until we began to get yelled at by an employee named Bridgette. We had a simple misunderstanding with one of the other employees which resulted in an unacceptable treatment of paying customers. We were scolded by a younger employee (Bridgette) and treated as if we were 5 years old. She was so rude to us that we decided to leave and she had the nerve to tell us "You can't leave!". All this for a a misunderstanding which, mind you, she refused to talk to us calmly about ! I have never been treated like this before...will not be coming back. read more

Went there for a birthday party and after one game they kicked me out and would not let me return because i was too close to someone when i shot them? PARENTS... If you have kids trying to have a birthday here....DON'T DO IT! We had our 10 year olds bday here and everything was great, except they let adults play with kids. We were led to believe our kids would have a guide/referee. Instead they were put with a couple other groups with some adults....well those adults happened to be horrible people and decided to shoot our 8 and 9 year old kids multiple times in close range. Our kids yelled stop multiple times and the grown adult male continued to shoot our kids. 3 kids came back after our party crying. The referee said that the adult followed their "rules" even though our kids were crying and yelling stop! We talked to the owner Craig and he gave us a "blanket" very scripted apology and said, "what do you want me to do. Kick him out?" He then proceeded to go be chummy with the guy. Showed up with 5 of my friends after we saw Austin Paintballs Groupon. And while the Groupon was a good deal, DONT FALL FOR IT. Austin Paintball was, without a doubt, easily the most UNORGANIZED paintball facility I had ever been to. After waiting approx 20 mins to check in, we were told to wait by the firepit for 15-20 mins to get out equipment. That wait turned into a 1 hr 15 min. On top of it, none of the employees seemed to have any idea about what was going on. If youre looking for a place to have a group get together, a birthday party, or just a place to shoot your friends with some paint, look elsewhere!!! read more

Aweful experience! The staff put 5 & 6 year olds right next to adult paintball. One of the moms got shot in the face & a dad in the arm by the BIG paint balls. When parents asked to move to another area the group was kicked off the property while cursing at the poor mother in front of his son! Very unprofessional and I don't recommend this place. read more
