We've been coming to High 5 for about 6-7 years, and tonight was honestly one of our best experiences yet. I have two girls, and over the years I've hosted Girl Scout events and multiple birthday parties here--so we know the place well. Tonight, a manager who was switching out merchandise (the stuffies) stopped to check in and see how we were doing. He was absolutely amazing with both of my girls--so kind and engaging. I believe his name was Josh. That kind of interaction really makes a difference and doesn't go unnoticed. High 5 has also made some updates: the virtual area downstairs is gone, but upstairs now has pool, darts, and slot machines, which adds a fun new vibe. On top of that, the bartenders were very attentive and on point all night. We've always enjoyed High 5, but tonight really stood out. I had a chance to have Chicken wings at High Five. Here is where I begin, this is a great entertainment place for kids gaming bowling and much more. The Management team, does raise the bar here. But when I see bowling leagues get loud and argumentative, it makes me unhappy that many seem not to care. I was seated and started my menu items to order. Waitress was friendly, and frankly attentive. The food here us really good. The tower of onions rings were seasoned well not overwhelming but just right. Chicken wings are my favorite, I like it plain no drama. Yes! Loved it. Then the grand finale was desert fried Oreo cookie it was a donut with cookie crumbs inside. This is mostly a gaming (bowling, arcade) place that also serves food and drinks and we did not know that so it was a little disappointing because of that. The choices of beer could be better but then 12 beers at a place where people come for bowling is not bad. The chicken tenders were good and the atmosphere was quite good because of larger groups enjoying themselves around us. Tried this place out because I had some coupons. Had some delicious pizza and drinks. The bowling was fun too! My party was happy that there was a separate upstairs area meant for adults; less screaming kids, less worry about carrying drinks around. Table service to the lane we were playing on was a huge plus~! Only negative is that it's HECKIN expensive. Would highly suggest going with a big group to get the most bang for your buck. Arcade was okay, kind-of a letdown and again ridiculously expensive but I chalk it up to there not being that much space. Laser tag was fun, the arena built had plenty of space for jogging around and hiding. Didn't try the "VR experience" but it's basically a virtual golf setup that you can play different games on. Frankly, stuff you can do at home if you own a VR headset. Also didn't try the ax throwing, as you apparently need to make a reservation well in advance to do it. Ah well. We still had fun. Best customer service I've had in the longest time!! We came in yesterday after baseball and had a large group. The manager met us right away and helped us get tables put together and gave us an overview of all the games. He set us up with a waiter who got our drinks immediately and got our appetizers coming. Food came out super fast and everything was correct. The food was awesome and we never had to wait to order something else - our waiter was on top of it. The manager came by a few times to check on us - honestly the best service I've had in the longest time and the food and drinks were great! Oh my Gosh, this is such a fun place to go with friends, have a few drinks and play some games. Parking is easy, they have a large parking lot. The building is huge, it's actually 2 stories. I didn't go upstairs so I have no idea what is up there. (Next time) There are a lot of video games and skee ball, air hockey, a large connect 4 game, bowling, a bar with great food and great drinks. There's the prize store towards the back. That's the area where you can redeem your tickets you've won for prizes. If you don't care at all about bowling and you're not trying to improve your game, then this place is for you. You are bowling in an arcade, run by teenagers. If anyone wants the lights turned off, they will do it for them, right in the middle of YOUR game. They don't care. If you are actually trying to do well in the sport, go to a real bowling alley. High 5 is a great venue in Lakeway for birthday parties & a fun outings with the kids or friends. It is an establishment full of activities: arcade, bowling, laser tag, etc. My five year old son loves it, specifically all the fun games and prizes. High 5 has a variety of arcade games and they handle all the nonstop children parties very well. Overall, the service was a little slow and I wasn't crazy about the pizza. (We ordered cheese and a pepperoni came out and the replacement one was under cooked.) However it is a great spot and we will be back. read more

When I was a kid, I used to always go to a similar place like this: arcade games, bowling, food! High 5 is a better and more upscale version of my childhood place. The arcade is clean and well run. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is pretty good overall. Also, axe throwing?! SO MUCH FUN. The guy who worked the axe throwing was funny and made sure we had a great time. I came here for a team get together for work and it was so much fun! This place has a little bit of everything for both kids and adults. Really enjoyed the laser tag, bowling, and arcade games on the floor. The highlight of the visit was the virtual reality they had on the arcade floor. The team at the Lakeway High Five Entertainment gave 110 percent to every aspect of our Project Graduation event. I didn't have to worry about anything that you had said High Five would handle. It was all handled, from the lanyards and game cards to all the different food options coming out all night long. All the staff were helpful and happy, despite the long night. High priced janky games. Half the games don't work. Almost every game we tried to play 2 player had one broken side. We bought 6 VR games (you buy prior to playing) once we went to play as a family of 4 we were told only 2 people could play due to the other 2 headsets bein broken. Asked for our mo way back and was told we could trade it for somethin else but couldn't get a refund. By then we just wanted to leave. Kids wanted to play at least one VR game. When they went, the game they wanted to play on there didn't work . Ok, we're now like 0/8 for what we wanted outta this spot. We'll NEVER come back. The food was okay but WAY too expensive for what you get. Our dinner was $90. We got 2 kids meals, 2 small salads, and 2 drinks. That's ridiculous. This place is a blast, affordable bowling plus a super fun arcade. We went to another place with an arcade where everything felt nasty and unclean and many of the games were broken down. We did not have that experience here, you can tell that the games get thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day and the games all worked expect one. The special also included a card for $10 worth of games. Same Arcadia games you might find at a Dave n Busters. But a cheaper version. For a $49.95 entry, I want my money's worth. It's not cheap to play here. From the reviews, I see there is a second floor. Really? Really?? Totally missed that opportunity with the horrible check-in. Hint.: Don't put new staff at the front desk without some type of supervision. It will be a fail for sure. Unlimited laser tag was included. BUT, there's not enough employees to go around. This is a Friday night and not enough employees to run laser tag. This was an epic fail. Folks are trading in their tickets for prizes. The wait for each time between laser games is approximately 40 minutes or more. That's jacked. It's really crappy considering those same employees vanish as soon as tickets are traded in. When you do make it into the arena it's a total blast!! This wait is not appropriate. This is not how you run a business. High 5 did a really great job making us feel safe during everything going on!! So, first things first. Our service was amazing. But also, everything was incredibly clean and spaced out. We felt really safe with the Covid precautions and everyone was following suit. They have hand washing stations throughout, sanitizer on the tables. It was perfect. We got on a bowling list.. initially the bowling wait was an hour. Took 20 minutes!!! So fast. So. Moving on. We came in to throw some axes. Mark O. was absolutely INCREDIBLE! I'm not even lying.. First time here. Last time here. We had a horrible experience. From the time we walked in the door the card dispenser took our money but gave us no cards . The Manager assisted us and gave us the cards we did not receive which was fine. We ordered food at the restaurant and this is where it all went sour. Our food took more than 40 min to partially arrive. It was the wrong order. We had no one say sorry or provide an explanation. I asked about our food and was told "yes they mixed up the order, your food will be out at some point". At this point we canceled the order and left. Restaurant was not too busy. We used to love this place and use go two to three times a week because our young boys enjoy the arcade. Several of the arcade games need and have needed work for a long time. Two of the three basketball games don't keep an accurate score. Two of the Super Cars racing machine have jacked up steering wheels. (The one on the far left and the one immediately to the right of that). The seat on the one on the left doesn't lock in position so kids are rocking back-and-forth to the whole race. Two of the ski ball machines don't have enough balls. The giant ball machine isn't working... Again. Wish it were better. Now we only go if we want to bowl. read more

I'd say there are fewer arcade games than most place I've visited, but it's a perfect place to get some fun in your life and be a kid again. There were several game not in working order the night we swung by, which is always a bummer, but we did enjoy ourselves on the games that worked. They have a full bar and food menu with all the bar staples. Bonus - you get a $5 gaming card by checking in on Yelp which is pretty darn awesome. Each time there were some challenges around service; however, they had great attitudes...which goes a long ways. After my third visit with the service challenge I decided to speak up and I used Yelp! as my platform...what I wasn't expecting was for someone to reach out to me...I spoke with the owner and was genuinely moved by his dedication to family, service, and building community through High 5! Having 15 years myself in customer service and leadership development, I truly appreciated his commitment...he wanted to listen to my callouts and I felt heard and seen. Like myself, this business is going to continue to grow stronger every day and I know that based on its leadership. One word-LOUD. Oh my god LOUD. Why was it so LOUD?! As a parent to a small child I am used to a certain threshold for noise and I would say I have a pretty high tolerance for noise but seriously- wow. I didn't know that places could actually get this loud. Specifically the bowling alley, because they had the music BLASTING. I had to scream at our server and she still couldn't hear me so we had to communicate by pointing at the menus. My ears rang for an hour after we left. Moving on from the noise- this place is a lot like Dave & Busters or Main Event, but nicer, cleaner, newer, and better designed. The arcade is a nice size and has a good selection of games. The bowling alley is great, very modern and spacious. The bar area is very visually pleasing and I was happy with my drinks. We order some appetizers and kids meals as well and they were good. Overall, I would definitely go again but I seriously might bring earplugs.
