I had a wonderful time at the festive crow bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The whole place is decorated for Christmas with lights, decorations and a fun atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The background noise and music was just right to have conversation and not hear other tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great. We ordered three apps and split them all. The tuna with avocado was my favorite. We also got a pear and prosciutto pizza which is more like a flat bread. It was very good and had enough pizza for us each to have 2 slices (6 total). The bao buns were also delicious! The drinks were on point! One had rosemary and was refreshing. The cosmo was standard but also had a fun dried blood orange slice. I will definitely be back!

Based on previous reviews, I think this has changed a bit. I was surprised to see the 3.5 star overall rating because we really enjoyed both our visits here. There is also no longer a happy hour so plan accordingly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Crowbar has two cute seating areas inside, the bar and the back. The bar has seated and standing options, and the back area is a more moody vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got margaritas and the Float Like a Butterfly to start with and shishito peppers as an app. I told them how much I loved the miso molasses glaze, and they brought me more to dip, which was super kind. The tuna tartare was a bit spicy and we enjoyed it so much that we ordered a second one. We got both the margarita pizza and the peach and prosciutto pizza that was topped with pistachios and honey. The peach pizza wasn't the prettiest, but it was so delicious!! The birra tacos comes with two corn tacos which is kind of small for an entree and I didn't love the filling. I also didn't love their beef empanadas, so I think it might be the beef filling across the board for me. However, the cauliflower tempura was perfect so that made up for it. The two sauces they put together added a nice amount of flavor and heat. Will definitely be going back to try even more!

I went to Crow bar for a happy hour with a friend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Crow bar offers indoor and outdoor seating. There is a smaller section in the back of the restaurant with a few tables as well for a more intimate experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered a few appetizers to share. Ranking the items from least to most favorite. My least favorite appetizer was the tuna tartare 2/5.I would have loved a little more acid with the avacado. I also would have liked the taro chips with a little bit of salt. Crab pad thai: 3/5 definitely lacked some acid. Roasted beet salad. 4/5The roasted beet salad was just okay. Nothing special about it but still good. Pear& Prosciutto pizza 5/5. This pizza was amazing the homey drizzle was a chefs kiss. Still thinking about this pizza! I would go back and try this place again.

Crowbar is one of the more upscale restaurants in the trolley Square area, so I enjoy going here! Their happy hour is decent but caters more to drinks than food. I tried the aperol spritzer which was fruity, and very refreshing! The mushroom bao buns were so fluffy and light stuffed with pickled onions, and the most tasty yet spicy mushroom filling. The kale salad was smothered in cheese and a lite bit. I ordered the garlic, ricotta pizza and asked for it without sausage. It wasn't my favorite item. I thought it lacked ricotta and had way too many tomatoes on it! Overall this place is adorable, they have high quality food, and the servers are very nice!

Super cute place! The only thing we ordered that we didn't ~love~ were the pork belly bao, which were good but felt like they needed an onion or a little extra punchy bite. The hangar steak for 2 was beautiful & super tasty, the shoestring fries were salty and plentiful. Our cocktails were very yummy & our server was great. Happy we stopped

Our server was gracious enough to have the temperature increased by a degree or two which was fine. We ordered the quiche and the mushroom crepe along with the french martini, mint julep and bloody mary. The drinks were fine and well presented. The mushroom crepe was also good, with a nice, flavorful thin crepe "boxing in" a firm and well-cooked egg. The quiche was nice and light but was fraught with way too much salt. The frisee that came with the quiche was so overdone with salt that it was inedible and you couldn't even taste the lardon bacon. We have not yet been here for dinner but would not recommend brunch as anything special. The service started out ok but then waned a bit once we ordered drinks. We literally had to wait patiently to even ask our server for coffee refills and more creamer. For a Sunday morning venue that should offer something distinctly different from the diner and coffee shop fare in North Wilmington, we were clearly disappointed.

Hummingbird to Mars is one of those rare places that reminds you why small businesses matter…read more Tucked away like a true speakeasy, it has an atmosphere that immediately pulls you in: low light, intimate corners, and a sense that you've stepped into a place where craft still means something. The bartenders are the heart of the experience. They don't just pour drinks; they create them. There's real skill and artistry behind the bar, and the conversation is as good as the cocktails. You can tell they care about balance, technique, and presentation. The Walk in the Garden gin cocktail is the perfect example: bright, layered flavors, premium ingredients, and that lavender garnish that hits your nose before the first sip. The scent alone sets the stage for the drink. It's thoughtful, elegant, and exactly what a craft cocktail should be. The food holds its own right alongside the drinks. The skillet meatballs come out tender and full of flavor, the kind of dish that disappears faster than you expect. The potato skins are crisp, satisfying, and exactly what you want with a cocktail in hand. And the homemade Baileys cheesecake is the kind of dessert you plan to share but end up guarding with your fork. It's rich without being heavy, with that unmistakable homemade touch. One of the best parts of Hummingbird to Mars is the tapas-style menu. You can eat as much or as little as you want, a couple of small plates with drinks, or a full progression from appetizers to dessert. It gives you the freedom to shape the night however you want, without committing to oversized entrées or predictable bar food. And that's the bigger point: places like this don't happen by accident. They come from creativity, risk-taking, and a commitment to doing things well. If we don't support small businesses that put this level of care into their craft, we'll be left with nothing but the same chains serving the same menus everywhere you go. Hummingbird to Mars is the antidote to that; personal, inventive, and genuinely memorable. From the first sip to the last bite, it's a place that delivers an experience, not just a night out. It's worth supporting, worth returning to, and worth celebrating.

Shoutout to Christian! We went with a bigger party this time - total of 6. Would highly recommend reservations. Parking can be challenging but worth the work. You will ring a bell next to a discreet door where someone will assist you. You are greeted and walked up a very long staircase to the actual speakeasy. There's a bar, seating areas, and lounge areas as well. There's also live music. Check their socials. We ordered lots of drinks - 12 total. Every single one was absolutely delicious. Doesn't matter what you order. They do have seasonal cocktails too. You can't go wrong. Food! Okay, just order one of everything. We got meatballs (highly recommend), tuna, pizzas (shareable size). All the things were good. Again, you can see this isn't our first time here (see previous reviews). We will continue to share this place with as many people as we can as it is a superb experience! Just all around a lovely place to sit and enjoy cocktails and good. For sure meets that speakeasy vibe!

We were greeted immediately by our server and a trainee. I ordered an old fashioned and my wife ordered a specialty cocktail. Both tasted great however, wait for the drink was excessive. The bar had an afterwork crowd and it appeared a bit understaffed. For my meal I ordered grilled octopus for a starter and I think it was one of the best I've ever had. Tender, savory with a really flavorful sauce. My wife had the Ricotta focaccia. Loved it. For dinner I had the pasta with mushroom and truffle. It was amazing. Temperature was perfect. It was hot, creamy and amazingly flavorful. My wife had the bream fish dish. She enjoyed that as well. For dessert we had the almond/chocolate tort. Very nicely warmed with a rich chocolate flavor to end the meal. I'll be back for sure.

If I served it , even on a weeknight at home I'd be apologizing.
