Delicious! Scratch-made delicacies ranging from sweet to savory. Cinnamon roll pancakes are to die for and the breakfast tamales were as authentic and delish as they come. The restaurant is spacious and we were seated quickly on a Saturday morning when the crowds were bustling.

I used to go here for weekend brunch with my family when I was a kid and used to live several miles down the road. Came back to visit and stopped by for good old memory. Still with good services (better before in the late 80s) and good foods, slow service but it was busy morning so understandable. Prices are changed for sure but glad that I stopped by and try it again.

I came here for brunch on Saturday around 1130. There was a 10 minute wait and they don't take reservations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside had classic breakfast diner vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Lindsey was awesome. Very patient and helped answer all of our questions and was attentive to all of our needs. I ordered the breakfast tacos which came with refried beans and I choose potatoes as my side. The portions at this restaurant are very large and the food was solid! I would definitely order this again! My husband ordered the steak fajitas and also really enjoyed it! This place has a huge menu, something for everyone!

The service was great. The food was good. What looks like a former Denny's with a clay tile roof is a pretty standard breakfast and lunch place. The menu packs meals into combos, so if you're looking for a simple egg and bacon breakfast you purchase items as sides. Our server provided outstanding service. The kitchen also performed well by delivering correct orders quickly. It's a comfortable spot but the hard walls create a loud space once customers start filling seats.

It's our spot to visit every time we visit for spring training. Chorizo chilaquiles are perfect.

Traveling through the area, made a stop off of a yelp recommendations. Did not disappoint! Our server was Bella who was super sweet and informative about the area we were traveling through. She really made a difference in our visit, some local hospitality. The food was very delightful. Pancakes are huge. Did a quick google search for breakfast spots in the area after finishing up my workout at the gym. This place popped up and we decided to give it a try, as we really enjoy trying out new brunch spots. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entering The Cracked Egg, I immediately took notice of the warm, inviting, diner-style setting, which featured beautiful holiday decor, that introduced nice warm holiday vibes into atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was very pleasant and personable, yet professional and efficient. I had a create-your-own omelette with, double eggs, turkey sausage, spinach, mushrooms and avocado. My sweetie had a strawberry yogurt parfait. Service was quick. My omelette arrived just as I had envisioned - it was fresh, hearty, beautiful and tasted delicious! It came with a side of hash browns that were seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and had a nice southern-type edge to them. My sweetie enjoyed her Parfait. We were checked on often by our server. We had a great first-time experience and will definitely return in the future. I highly recommend this great breakfast joint!!

Went back today with my man, as I will with everyone I love because this place is THEBOMB.com. My man got the biscuits and gravy and I got the taco salad. So freakin good. We came in 30 minutes before close which we felt bad for but they were nice about it and showed no signs of irritation and I really appreciated that. I recommend to always get a mimosa with your meal. They're nice and strong and a great way to start the day haha LOVE this place, man. This is my FAVORITE breakfast/brunch place in the Phoenix area! I almost don't want to brag about it because it's already a busy place.... But good for them for being awesome! Whatever you order is pretty much guaranteed to be delicious! My "go to" is the Pancho omelette and my husband gets the bananas foster French toast...both are out of this world! read more

Came here for breakfast and had French toast with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon. My husband had green chili pork eggs Benedict. French toast was amazing. But I have to save the green chili sauce on the eggs. Benedict was out of the swirl. My husband said this was the best eggs Benedict. The server was amazing. Her name, Medina, is friendly, fast, great at suggested menu items. She is a great server and made the experience even better. The prices are good, definitely come here to eat! read more

I had the sumptuous breakfast here ..my personal favourite is the garden omlette with pancakes .The eggs were well done and I chose the French fries .They serve unlimited refills of coffee ..reasonably priced ..you do not need to make reservations and seating is good .The waitresses do come and check to ask if you need anything which was very sweet .Will go back for some more breakfast .the pancakes were very tasty !! read more

First of all I had a real hard time ordering through the Yelp website bc it kept telling me to enter a valid telephone number. After all the info I entered it would not accept the 2 numbers I put in. This order was on Mother's Day. I tried calling the # provided by Yelp and it didn't exist/out of order. Then I went to Uber eats and it said it was closed. Then I finally got the order to go through at a higher price than as if I would of ordered through, I guess their site through Google. So very disappointing One of the orders was supposed to come with a biscuit which he was really looking forward to, never got it. The sourdough toast didn't come with jelly. There was no one to call to get the biscuit. Very disappointing, especially when it was about $60 read more

We had breakfast here, and it was delicious! The serving sizes are huge so if you are dining with kids, they can definitely split a meal. The cinnamon roll pancakes were so good. My husband had the chicken fajita breakfast skillet and he loved it. We all went home with leftovers. read more

Weekly we order from The Cracked Egg. The place is super clean and inviting. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The retro style diner with the counter and booths reminds me of the mid west. We love the biscuits and gravy, the benedicts, the skillets and the omelets. The chicken sandwich and the philly steak are also great. My mom loves their pancakes and fresh fruit. I have been wanting to check out some new breakfast places in town so a job brought me close by today. I stopped by and was surprised and still baffled at the 4 and 5 star rating here. I was being generous with the three stars since it is just an average cafe type of diner. Not to be put off since at times the plainest places can really surprise you and knock your socks off, I kept an open mind and figured i was up for a great foodie experience. I was not impressed. The place is old, dingy and looks just like a Denny's. The menu is huge for breakfast with all old school types of average breakfast food. They have a few lunch offerings but not a lot. The place is like a typical diner cafe. The service started out not that great when I walked in but then improved when it was my turn to sit down. I wonder if they rotate hostesses by the same person who will serve them? I say this because three people avoided my eye contact and just walked right past me while I waited to be seated. They might want to rethink that if true. Since no one made eye contact with me or even smiled a welcome when I walked in and left me standing there for 5 minutes, I actually almost left. First impression guys. After about 5 minutes my server greeted me very warmly, greeted the folks in back of me, and told them she would be right with them. ( that is how it is done other employees and young child working behind the counter!) She also gave excellent service for the entire time i was there. Kudos to her. She also had a cell phone and was answering incoming calls. Wow, that is a lot for her to do. I ordered the Pineapple pancakes which was a huge platter and could feed three people easily. It was too much for me and I took home most of it. it tasted just average and bland for how it was described ( no way that was a bourbon brown sugar sauce) compared to other fancy pancake dishes I have had at other breakfast joints it was average to par below. Okay, but nothing to die over. I upped to the add on which is 3 dollars more to add a few scrambled eggs and sausage. The eggs tasted greasy and the sausage were not good at all. They were burnt a little on one side and chewy on the other. They looked bad like what one can get in the frozen food section of a grocery store not the fat juicy links other breakfast places have. The food is pretty average here and nothing to write home about, which is fine for it's goal. Places like this have their place. Maybe for large non foodie families who want huge portions to share and are big breakfast eaters. However, then they should also be a similar price to those types of places like Dennys's and I-Hop. This place costs more in align with the fancy places that have way better food. I like to call those places the home of the 20 dollar breakfast joints. I am glad that breakfast is not my favorite meal of the day. breakfast foods are cheap and should cost under 6 dollars not over 20. I do admit the coffee here is very good. I would come back for just some toast and coffee. On a final note. Why are there all these TV's spaced three inches a part all over the counter bar? Why are all on Fox News, and have no sound on? Does the counter have Air Bud jacks? Insert eye roll. What a turn off that was. I dislike TV's in places to begin with where I am eating if not a sports bar, a eat in Movie theater, or at the airport. i probably will not come back here only for the fact Phoenix has a multitude of excellent Breakfast joints in town now. Maybe this is an area specific type of place since it was packed. The pickings are slimmer in the West Valley. read more

We went to the cracked egg, a breakfast-lunch place for the first time today. I'm excited to say this is our new favorite breakfast joint. The menu was large which scared me because I found that large menus normally mean a lot of things cooked poorly. I was happy to find that this was NOT the case with the cracked egg! HUGE fresh made portions the same price range as Dennys or kiss the cook but so much better and cooked quickly. We decided to get several items from different parts of the menu so that we could get a good representation of their food. Wow we were so impressed. Everything was awesome. Denver omelette with country potatoes perfectly cooked. Green chili breakfast burrito which we had them add bacon to with home fries (think chunky mashed country potatoes)... perfection. I like that the green chili sauce had a lot of flavor without the heat. Biscuits and gravy (full size) took up the whole plate and could be a meal for two people easily. Plenty of sausage crumbles throughout the home made county sausage gravy. HUGE biscuits soft and fluffy. I loved the iced Irish coffee so much that I had two of them. Made with Jamison whiskey irish cream it was so flavorful. Even the apple juice tasted like it could be martinellis brand...my favorite apple juice. Only downer was we should have asked about a senior discount before the server rang us up. Senior discount is on Wednesdays. so, even though it was Wednesday and hubby is a "senior" we didn't get our discount. But we will remember for next time. They really got the best for this restaurant... even the jelly on the table was smuckers with grape, mixed fruit, strawberry and APPLE BUTTER. Ive never seen apple butter on a table and i loved the option! I appreciated the sugar dispenser lol one that actually pour out sugar quickly. Instead of a tiny but at a time. I know it's a silly thing to be excited about but i like sweet tea so appreciate stuff like that! The staff checked back with us often and were patient with our questions. One odd thing that I noticed was on each table there's a brown bag of uncooked white rice. I have no clue what this is for, maybe it's just a decoration but it really has me curious and I forgot to ask. Again this place is our new favorite. I will drive the few extra miles to eat here vs other places. read more

Huge hot breakfast with great coffee and even better service! Found this restaurant driving through Glendale and stopped for a quick bite. I don't think I will need to eat again until tomorrow. The place feels like it is straight out of Pulp Fiction and I keep waiting for Tarantino to walk in and start filming. read more

First time. Very nice place. Got in pretty fast on a Saturday morning. Got busy shortly after. Reminded me of an old 70's Bob's Big Boy. There is a back built-on area, booths and tables with TV's on walls. Kid Friendly. Menu is HUGE. I don't mean as in items, I mean HUGE.... like a foot and a half long. Food was tasty! Unfortunately, I was super dehydrated from a kick-butt concert the night before and wasn't able to eat much. I will have to go back when I'm in town again, just to sit at the counter! ;) We had an awesome, fun & friendly server. Easy Parking. read more

Okay seriously take "the Lumberjack special" off the menu. This dish is literally a 2 lb. unseasoned long rectangular ground beef patty w/ a side of eggs and potatoes. Like really? That is the most bizarre, grossest, laziest breakfast dish I've ever seen/had. Far from a special. & There is absolutely no seasoning at all and everything was dry. I'm seriously shocked about all these great reviews, I wish I could give another chance, but I won't be going back just because of that dish. I wish I could've taken a picture but if you look in the pictures section, someone did take a pic of it and it's under the title "gross!" Lol go figure. read more

Such a niche, cute little diner aesthetic. The waitresses have always been attentive the two times I have gone, keeping my drinks full and generally keeping conversation with my friends and myself. Food was good, in particular the biscuits and gravy slap. GCU students get a discount, so I will definitely be back. Also, bathrooms were recently remodeled and look really cool! read more

beat customer service! Server was quick to attend us. He was kind and very helpful in regards of food choices. He always came around to serve us fresh coffee. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! Stopped in for some fuel before heading to Sedona. Super cool diner. Sat at the little bar area, server was quick to greet. Ordered the eggs and such. Bacon, fruit, wheat toast and added an avocado. Tried to stay a little healthier and not a single bite disappointed. And the coffee...extremely tasty. Glad I found this gem, the entire visit was perfect! read more

It's the second time I've been here while out catching baseball in AZ and it never disappoints. The French toast is delicious and the omelettes are fluffy and very tasty. I have complimentary breakfast at the hotel but it doesn't compare. I'm not an early morning breakfast kinda person but there's something about this place at 6am that changed it. Not too busy. Quiet. Loved that the place was open so early great for the early shifts. Portions were big. I ordered the two French roasts with a side of bacon and sausage. My friend got the Spinich Florentine. Food was delicious. French toast was nice and thick did not taste like egg which was great. I tried the house fries from my friends plate, they were missing something or might have just been undercooked. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Prices were reasonable for the order. Defiantly going to come back and try something different on the menu. read more

Found this place for Sunday brunch via Yelp. First impressions not great. A nondescript building in a nondescript strip mall in a pretty nondescript part of town, we feared the worst. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was pretty empty at 1.15 (another ominous sign) but the service and the food were excellent. A vast menu offered something for everyone. We booked an upgraded suite with a separate bedroom and TV room, which gave us plenty of space to spread out. While the layout was great, the room itself could use some updates. The bathroom fixtures were older--the Kohler toilet didn't flush well and was a bit noisy, and the tub/shower combo had rounded sides that made it tricky to stand comfortably. The shower water also never got fully hot. The room had a slightly musty smell, and the carpets would benefit from a deep cleaning. The balcony screen door didn't close tightly, which let a few flies in, and access to the second floor required two sets of stairs since there's no elevator in that section. Even with those issues, the resort's location, views, and overall vibe made the stay enjoyable. With some room refreshes and a bit more maintenance attention, this could easily be a standout property. The setting alone is worth experiencing.

The fact that the restaurant was very close to our Airbnb, and did not require a reservation also felt like a sign to make the visit. The spot is definitely trendy, and parking was tricky. Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). Went to the Cracked eggs with my daughter while in phx. The breakfast plate was so big we spite it and was good. The service was good once we sat down and the food came fast. I would come back if in the area. read more

The parking situation and location are a bit challenging, but they clearly haven't stopped people from finding this place. If you visit, bring cash and save room for one of their homemade pies. While the food didn't quite wow us, the friendly service and classic neighborhood diner atmosphere make it a unique local experience worth trying.
