Staff was so friendly. The place is cute and comfy. Coffee is good! Food was delicious. My first coffee cup was dirty and my order was messed up, the tortillas are also not that great but honestly everything else tastes so good and the staff is so friendly I didn't even care. Even had someone approach me and asked what I was eating because it looked delicious.

I used to go here for weekend brunch with my family when I was a kid and used to live several miles down the road. Came back to visit and stopped by for good old memory. Still with good services (better before in the late 80s) and good foods, slow service but it was busy morning so understandable. Decor still felt like back in the good old days but with modern touch. Parking is great since it has a big lot. Prices are changed for sure but glad that I stopped by and try it again.

I came here for brunch on Saturday around 1130. There was a 10 minute wait and they don't take reservations. The inside had classic breakfast diner vibes. Our server Lindsey was awesome. Very patient and helped answer all of our questions and was attentive to all of our needs. I ordered the breakfast tacos which came with refried beans and I choose potatoes as my side. The portions at this restaurant are very large and the food was solid! I would definitely order this again! My husband ordered the steak fajitas and also really enjoyed it! This place has a huge menu, something for everyone!

It's our spot to visit every time we visit for spring training. Chorizo chilaquiles are perfect.

The service was great. The food was good. We came in for brunch on Saturday on the place was hopping still Saturday at about noon! If we're in the area, we would definitely visit again. I wanted to try the biscuits and gravy, but I overheard the waitress tell another table that there biscuits were about the size of a softball and there's no way I could've eaten all of that!

What looks like a former Denny's with a clay tile roof is a pretty standard breakfast and lunch place. The menu packs meals into combos, so if you're looking for a simple egg and bacon breakfast you purchase items as sides. Our server provided outstanding service. The kitchen also performed well by delivering correct orders quickly. It's a comfortable spot but the hard walls create a loud space once customers start filling seats.

Traveling through the area, made a stop off of a yelp recommendations. Did not disappoint! Our server was Bella who was super sweet and informative about the area we were traveling through. She really made a difference in our visit, some local hospitality. The food was very delightful. Pancakes are huge. The overall restaurant is a little gem. Very clean and well put together establishment.

Did a quick google search for breakfast spots in the area after finishing up my workout at the gym. This place popped up and we decided to give it a try, as we really enjoy trying out new brunch spots. Upon entering The Cracked Egg, I immediately took notice of the warm, inviting, diner-style setting, which featured beautiful holiday decor, that introduced nice warm holiday vibes into atmosphere. Our server was very pleasant and personable, yet professional and efficient. I had a create-your-own omelette with, double eggs, turkey sausage, spinach, mushrooms and avocado. My sweetie had a strawberry yogurt parfait. Service was quick. My omelette arrived just as I had envisioned - it was fresh, hearty, beautiful and tasted delicious! It came with a side of hash browns that were seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and had a nice southern-type edge to them. My sweetie enjoyed her Parfait. We were checked on often by our server. We had a great first-time experience and will definitely return in the future. I highly recommend this great breakfast joint!!

Long ago a stranger passing through Black Canyon City stopped at the Biz E Bee Cafe. writing about "...pancakes big as your face...." I steal that line regarding The Cracked Egg. Remember Sambo's? It's a dim memory for me. I remember Fast Eddy's. But never stopped. The Cracked Egg is in the building now. If you like your food fast and restaurant loud and bustling this is your place. It is a restauranteur's dream. We ate at 10 am on a Monday. The house was full. Ashley was our server handling her tables well. She said her job is her gym. But, she gets paid instead of paying out. My lovely wife and I split a Denver omelette plus a side of crispy bacon. Sister had pancakes WAY bigger than her face. We brought 2/3 of her nreakfast home, finishing it today. The Cracked Egg is no Gas Monkey Garage. It is fast and loud with generous portions.

Had breakfast here on a Saturday morning. The hostess was quick to greet us and the wait time surprisingly was only 10 minutes. It's a very open space with big windows and a bar/counter to eat if you choose with no waiting. I had the farmer's skillet and a flight of mimosas. The food was amazing. Tasted home-cooked and very well seasoned. The mimosas were strong but hey, that's what makes them so good. I had a traditional, orange pineapple, orange cranberry and a cranberry flavored mimosa. They definitely packed a punched. Great place to go for breakfast or brunch. Family friendly and they offer a discount for GCU students. Loved it!

Update: We've been back a few times, never disappointed. This place is nothing fancy, some might say hole in the wall. BUT the service is good, the portions are large (including the butter-I didn't have to ask for extra for my pancakes). The coffee is OK. The food was really fresh. We will definitely be back.

Extremely disorganized, rude staff but decent food. Whipped butter for the waffles is delish.

Our server, Gabrielle, was incredibly friendly and attentive, which really elevated our experience. Thank you, Gabi! The food was just as impressive. We started with the bread basket and blue crab- both 10/10. For main dishes we tried the scrambled eggs with jalapeño grits, the "egg sammy", French dip, and the hash - everything came out delicious. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for brunch, or from the sound of the other reviews lunch/dinner as well! If you haven't already - go check them out!

It's just a cozy little place. The wait staff are awesome, Sam was our server tonight and he was great!! Drinks were yummy and delish!! The cast iron corn bread is to die for!! So creamy, buttery warm goodness OMG, this is what heaven tastes like!! I've been craving it since the first time coming here. The artichoke was good too, it came with a tasty creamy dip. The baby back ribs tasted like home cooking, so yummy!! Sweet and crunchy on the outside. The meat was tender. Totally recommend 10/10 The halibut was definitely not worth the $44 price paid... It was very dry and tough on the bottom, for the tiny piece of meat :( I had to use the knife to cut off the hard, overcooked bottom. I ended up with tooth pain and had to take a pain pill after dinner. The risotto, although was creamy and delish!! 3/5 stars for me on this dish. We ordered the Key Lime pie to go!! I'm so glad we ordered to go, so that ww didn't miss this perfect pure opportunity!! It was a nicely sized slice, the crust had the best slight crunch, the pie its self was creamy, filling, with the perfect key lime flavor. This is definitely the best key lime pie I have ever eaten!!! Don't miss out on this little gem, give it a try! Melts in your mouth!! Yum yum!!

The original chopped salad here is my favorite in the whole Phoenix area it's is the perfect pairing of flavors - I could eat this as a meal on its own. The salmon sweet corn and dressing together produce a combination that has you wanting more with each and every bite. The pan roasted halibut entree is also very well crafted with the toppings olive tapenade and brown butter polenta. The service here is impeccable - staff were very attentive and even helped us to validate our parking. Orders were taken promptly and the food came out quickly as well. I mean really, did the chef put any salt and pepper on the flesh side of the salmon or did he/she only season the skin side? For the love of God...put some salt on both sides and please only cook it to medium! Just my two cents! I hope management reads this because I'll be returning to The Gladly with a large group of friends in February and we've selected salmon as one of the choices for our group meal. I hope and pray the fish will be cooked properly with seasoning please! Okay, I'm done talking about the salmon! The Chopped Salad was good and the spinach dip was very good! My spicy margarita was also top notch! However, the salmon left a bad taste in my mouth!

Like some other reviews, with it not being busy at all, the staff was very attentive, almost a little too attentive with trying to clear plates when we were still eating, but that's not a real complaint. Onto the food, 10/10, most interesting and scrumptious food I've enjoyed in a while! The Dry Aged Beef Carpaccio was DELICIOUS, I easily ate it by myself. For an entree I got the Chitarra Clam Pasta, it had a really delicious light white sauce, and it was a delight to eat. The pasta itself was cooked well, the clams seemed fine, and the flavors were great. For dessert, two of us split the Brown Butter Cake, and because there was no menu we didn't realize it would be $17, but in the end it was worth it. The cake was topped with ice cream and there was caramel drizzled across the dish, really delicious and more impressive than I would've expected. Overall staff was friendly, didn't need to make a reservation, and the food was mind blowing.
