This is a must-try spot for breakfast/lunch! There's plenty of parking available and the restaurant can accommodate lots of people during the busy times. The staff is friendly and can provide recommendations if you need or want them. They make their own chorizo so I ordered the breakfast chimichanga which has chorizo. We're definitely going to return to visit them again to try more of their food. There is a bar with stools for seating diner-style if you like and there's also plenty booths and tables. They do offer alcohol so you can have a mimosa or margarita with your meal. Check them out when you're in the area. read more

Great diner-style energy every time we come to The Cracked Egg. We love this place for Sunday brunch because there's a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're looking for a classic American breakfast or something with a bit of cultural influence, the flavors are always great, and the service is consistently fast and friendly. Their coffee is also one of our favorites. No matter where we go, we always end up comparing it to the coffee here , it's just that good. Today we ordered the Cowboy Skillet, which had great flavor with the gravy and the mix of peppers and potatoes. Everything paired really well together and made for a hearty breakfast. The waffle was well made with a nice butter crisp on the outside. We also tried the Shaved Ribeye Benedict with mushrooms. I really enjoyed the flavor coming from the mushrooms and onions cooked into it. The shaved ribeye was a little on the dry side, but overall the flavors still worked well together and the dish was nicely plated. Energy here is always phenomenal as people are always so kind and making sure to be constantly checking on us and making sure we have everything we need always! Ambiance is great and always nice and warm feeling. This is a place we always recommend to people, and we'll definitely continue coming back. read more

I used to go here for weekend brunch with my family when I was a kid and used to live several miles down the road. Came back to visit and stopped by for good old memory. Still with good services (better before in the late 80s) and good foods, slow service but it was busy morning so understandable. Decor still felt like back in the good old days but with modern touch. I came here for brunch on Saturday around 1130. There was a 10 minute wait and they don't take reservations. The inside had classic breakfast diner vibes. Our server Lindsey was awesome. Very patient and helped answer all of our questions and was attentive to all of our needs. I ordered the breakfast tacos which came with refried beans and I choose potatoes as my side. I got the cowboy skillet and enjoyed it. My husband got the breakfast tacos and while dry they provided salsa and sour cream on the side and were decent. My son is pretty easy to please with chocolate pancakes but the potatoes were extremely bland, literally no seasoning. Service was mediocre but being Sunday morning they were busy. Not rude just not friendly and food took a long time to come out. As far as the restaurant itself it's clean and well maintained but was way too hot making dining in very uncomfortable and we had to get our food boxed to leave. I had to make two trips to splash water on my face to cool down and was actively sweating at the table. I understand it's AZ summer but it was only 93 outside. In this economy taking the family to any restaurant is pricey so it's just not reasonable to make customers sweat it out. Maybe once the weather has cooled we will give it another try. read more

One of the few breakfast spots in town to offer truly really country potato's which you'd be surprised are hard to find. It's breakfast food but it's delicious breakfast food and the eggs are real eggs not the liquid eggs some other places use when you order scrambled eggs so it's a plus. read more

Did a quick google search for breakfast spots in the area after finishing up my workout at the gym. This place popped up and we decided to give it a try, as we really enjoy trying out new brunch spots. Upon entering The Cracked Egg, I immediately took notice of the warm, inviting, diner-style setting, which featured beautiful holiday decor, that introduced nice warm holiday vibes into atmosphere. Our server was very pleasant and personable, yet professional and efficient. I had a create-your-own omelette with, double eggs, turkey sausage, spinach, mushrooms and avocado. My sweetie had a strawberry yogurt parfait. Service was quick. My omelette arrived just as I had envisioned - it was fresh, hearty, beautiful and tasted delicious! It came with a side of hash browns that were seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and had a nice southern-type edge to them. My sweetie enjoyed her Parfait. We were checked on often by our server. My friend brought over some food today from this restaurant for lunch. I ordered the French dip and fries, she ordered French toast, and my boyfriend ordered a country breakfast. I liked the beef in the French dip but I felt it was lacking the right quantity of meat and cheese. It was decent. I don't think the fries traveled well but they were edible. I think if I ate them fresh they would have been better vs floppy. She enjoyed her French toast, and even took some home with her. I came here on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. The service was slooooow... it was fairly busy and parking was a bit difficult. We ended up parking in the nearby CVS lot. It is a nice, pleasant restaurant though. This place is pretty good. My server was pleasant and personable. I don't think she was the reason for the slow service as, she seemed efficient. Overall: Unexpectedly really good food and super service. Great diner type food. Big portions with good flavor. California eggs Benedict had lots of flavor, the bacon was thick and cooked well. First impression was not super, with older looking furniture, plain style and not much decor. But.... the service was fantastic. Our waitress was nice, attentive, very personable.
