This place is a good alternative to get your cajun shrimp on when boiling crab is just wayyy too far. The shrimp is a good size and the flavor is decent, comparable. However, my most recent visit wasn't the best. I ordered the shrimp in garlic butter because we weren't in the mood for spicy and it was bland. Not much garlic or butter flavor... whomps. I mainly wanted to review the service here which was pretty much non-existent. We were seated right away but then it took a while for anyone to come and take our order. One of the girls noticed we were waiting and she quickly walked past but said someone will be with us... and we still had to wait a while. The place wasn't even busy... maybe 3 other tables. Luckily the food came out pretty quickly... but no one checked on us after that. The biggest problem is that they stay behind the counter where none of the tables are visible. I had to get up from the table to ask for a missing item and more water. That's pretty annoying. read more

I got some FREE Cajun fries (for checking in) baby love anything Free (well most Free things) moving on..... we ordered the $46.99 deal - We chose peeled shrimp, clams and muscles, it came with 2corns (we added 2 extra) 2 potatoes and 4sausages. It was served surprisingly quickly and it was cooked to a perfect crisp, a large serving, and we dipped in a kind of garlic sauce (I forget the actual name). It was perfect. I could have actually stopped there. But, I was there with my family so we ordered the combo #3 (shrimp, mussels, clams, and KING CRAB LEGS). It was absolutely delicious! Another excellent dish. The mussels were meaty, the clams fat, and the king crab legs nice and thick. Although I was getting so full, I didn't want to stop eating because it tasted sooo good. The staff, especially Jake, was attentive and very friendly. He suggested this green tea infused with mango, peaches and some other fruit-i forget the other stuff- and it was smoking! It had dry ice? Very very disappointed with this place. I placed a carry out order and I asked for 12 piece sausages but they only gave me 6 and charged me $8.99 for it. They don't give you whole potatoes, they give you half and count it as 1 piece and the potatoes were beyond over cooked! Corn was over cooked! Shrimp had a very weird bitter taste to it. Sauce was not that great. Overall, don't waste your money here! Does not come close to being as good as boiling crab and Kickin crab. I would give it a zero star if I could. read more

Love coming here with the family. Always playing laid back R&B jamz, and have the best Cajun shrimp in the South Bay hands down. There's nothing like kicking back watching the game, chomping down shrimp, and drinking a few cold beers. I highly recommend Crab shack style medium with a side of spicy. The Cajun fries are also delicious and make a great addition to the meal. We tend to eat 1lb/shrimp per person with some sides. Definitely fills everybody up. Personally Crab Shack has never been my favorite but we enjoyed this spot because of its convenience. But with COVID we hadn't been in a while. Unfortunately we ordered last week and I was disappointed. We ordered the shrimp baskets, crab, shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage. Everything was disappointing but the corn and shrimp were the worst. The corn taste as if it has been cooked all day to the point where it was mushy. Shrimp basket only included 4 pieces. I usually don't post negative reviews but I had to after today's incident. My husband and I have been here a few times and have had no issues. The service is hit and miss. Today, the service was great. The problem came during our meal. I pulled out a shrimp out of the bag and there was a short curly hair in it (looked like body hair from down there). I was so disgusted and stopped eating immediately. We told the server in the nicest way, letting her know that we come there often. She apologized over and over and asked if we wanted anything else. I lost my appetite so we opted to get nothing in return. She told us that the bill would be on the house since both my husband and I didn't eat even half of our ordered food. The manager came and apologized. It would have been fine except for the fact that our server chased us outside with a bill. In all fairness, I know her hands were tied. The manager decided to still partially charge us even though we didn't make a dent in our food!!!! My husband was so upset, he went back inside and noticed that the person in the back cooking the food had a large beard. When he pointed it out to the manager that he should be wearing a mask or something to cover the hair (so it wouldn't fall in our food), he just rolled his eyes. This was our 4th or 5th time here and we will NOT being coming back here again. read more

I tried to place an order over the phone today, when they answered the phone I was told that the maximum dollar amount to place over the phone is $50, and that if I wanted to order more than $50 I would have to go inside and place the order, which I cannot do because I have a newborn at the house and cannot be gone long. I then tried to call them a few minutes later to place a smaller order, the phone was disconnected. They have the worst customer service that I have experienced. So with that being said, I was skeptical to try this specific location due to the reviews, and not knowing if the food would taste the same...but this location is amazing! I called my order in over the telephone and the person who took my order was so nice and patient. My order was ready when I got there and the three beautiful ladies working there were so nice and accommodating. They really made my day!
