    Spring Caesar Wrap

I was craving panera for lunch and holy smokes am I glad I came here instead. The Caesar salad wrap with chicken was enormous and delicious. Absolutely no skimping on the croutons, dressing or chicken whatsoever. I was stuffed after the first half and after marinating in the wrap it was even more delicious for dinner. The service was amazing. The cookies were amazing. My strawberry basil latte was unique and amazing. The jazz, sunshine and bushy pothos inside made my virtual work day a breath of fresh, delicious air.

I really enjoyed this sandwich it was a perfect balance of sweet and savory. Location is unassuming located off of spruce tucked between businesses. I ordered online to be able to pick up. Service was fast and friendly. They didn't have the brookie so I opted for the rocky road cookie and it was delicious! Not a lot of parking and it was really busy inside which was really nice to see.

10/10 Experience! My partner and I just ate at The Cookie Tin Café, and we were blown away by the warm hospitality. It's been a long time since we've experienced service this genuine and welcoming, it truly felt like home. The new owner personally greeted us, and along with Genevieve, made our visit unforgettable. The paninis were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made and the cookies tasted like grandma baked them herself! soft, nostalgic, and absolutely delicious. Everything about this place radiates comfort and care. We left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a cozy spot with amazing food and heartfelt service, this is the place to go!

I came for the cookies and tried 5 of the 6 different flavors and unfortunately I didn't love any of them. The cookies are big! That's a plus if you like their cookies. I have a huge sweet tooth but some of these were way too sugary for me. A few were under-flavored. These cookies have more of a sugar cookie texture than classic homemade cookies with heaps of butter. My theory is they've reduced the eggs and butter in their recipes. Although the service was great and it's a cute shop, the cookies are akin to chain store grocery cookies. White chocolate macadamia was pretty good, it wasn't too sweet and had the best outside texture of all 6 that I got. There weren't that many white chocolate chips and only 3 macadamia nut pieces in it though. It was also undercooked. I love a gooey center but these were just straight up undercooked. The chocolate chip was the most disappointing, it was dry and dense. I really wanted an ooey gooey chocolate chip cookie that people have posted in their reviews. Snickerdoodle was undercooked so the center was doughy. It needed a punch up to the flavor, but maybe the flavor just can't come through because it needed to be baked a bit more. The strawberry milk had a single strawberry on it and was also undercooked. There were a lot of white chocolate chips in it so it was a tad sweeter than I expected. I didn't get a strong strawberry when I took a bite. The brookie of the month was just okay to me, it was also a bit sweet. The sprinkles were dried out. It was also undercooked.

The newly opened "The Cookie Tin" by James Madison catering kept the classic cookies and brought out some new stuff to their menu! These pics/review is from back in July when I visited, but now they have their own Yelp page, so updating here! When I visited, I talked with the new owner and she was very sweet and kind and answered all my questions regarding their new business! The decor is cute and modern, it is the perfect place to stop for lunch or just to hang out in a nice cozy spot. At that time, I ordered a turkey, bacon, swiss melt panini and a white chocolate macadamia cookie. Both of which are my two favorite things to order from there and have had at least a few times already since my last visit in July! The cookie is as sweet and soft as I remember! And the panini was warm, crunchy, and flavorful. Everything about this place is amazing and definitely fills the craving! Can't wait to come back and try more things from the menu!

I cannot say enough good things about the Cookie Tin! I have used them for both a lunch spot during the work week, catering for [corporate events, family celebrations, and parties], and in-store events! Their menu is a treasure trove of culinary delights, offering a variety of sandwiches with unique and fresh ingredients. The cookies, in particular, are a sinful indulgence, both in size and taste. With most entrees accompanied by one, be prepared to be pleasantly surprised and soon addicted. Regarding catering, Cookie Tin/James Madison Catering goes above and beyond. For a family celebration, I ordered their quiches, and they were an instant hit. The quiches, generously filled with fresh ingredients, were a testament to their commitment to quality. Jonathan's willingness to accommodate our preferences and his creative touch made the experience truly special. Last but not least, I reserved their store for a private party on a Saturday. Once again, they blew us out of the water with their smorgasbord of sandwiches and treats. The owners and staff are lovely and very customer service-oriented. Please do yourself a favor and visit this lovely establishment. You will not be disappointed!

Oh man this is a great local, hole in the wall cafe. They serve sandwiches, salads and wraps. Even soups. The oatmeal cookie oats are amazing! I had the roast beef au jus and the pastrami and they were excellent. And the cookies are super good. Moist and tasty, each flavor is better than the next, you can't stop at just one. The owners are super nice and ensure your meal will be perfect. And they offer catering as well. Definitely gotta check them out if you are anywhere close.

I didn't want to enter any cafe very small/ with petite tables or judgement if I sat down for 1.5 hr to work on my computer. I bought a sausage croissant which was just ok, but still a nice quick breakfast item. I was able to sit in a comfy chair with an outlet source & table to conference in my meeting. I was left unbothered & comfortable the whole time, which I greatly appreciated. There are several lounge chairs, tables & areas to space out to work, read, lounge, etc! I would certainly return another day to try out their coffee menu and those earl grey lavender scones (wish I saw those first!!) The barista was kind & the atmosphere very pleasant!

SERVICE here is VERY BAD!…read more The service at Back to the Grind was genuinely one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've had. While I was in the middle of placing my order, an older gentleman wearing glasses abruptly walked away from me mid-conversation to speak with someone he knew. No acknowledgment, no "I'll be right back," nothing. I was left standing there confused and waiting while they casually chatted amongst themselves. At the same time, my husband approached another employee -- a young woman with very long black hair and a pink bandana (see pic)-- simply to ask for the WiFi password. Without even looking at him, she told him he needed to "buy something first." When he explained that I was already ordering, she repeated herself in a dismissive tone and continued making sandwiches without making eye contact once. What stood out most wasn't just the lack of hospitality, but the overall attitude from multiple staff members. The environment felt cold, dismissive, and inconvenienced by customers being there at all. Ironically, the café advertises community classes like yoga and live meditation classes on the window, yet basic customer service and professionalism seem completely absent. The food itself was fine, which is why this review is specifically about the service experience. Even after how poorly we were treated, I still left a tip because I refuse to match that level of disrespect. Management seriously needs to address the customer service culture here. One rude interaction can happen anywhere -- but multiple employees displaying the same behavior reflects a larger issue.

As far as options go, I think there's a decent selection of more unique syrups for coffees. They do change it up throughout the year. The drinks here are definitely more of a premium price point, but I think they're generally good. On this particular trip, I wanted to try their new syrup flavor (it was some form of orange zest, or something similar?), but noticed my latte had no real flavor in it after a few sips. Upon looking at the receipt, the person who took my order just gave me a regular cafe latte and didn't add the syrup I requested. The coffee was fine, but I would have liked trying something new. I have gotten several of their food options before, and I think that some of them are well-priced for the portion and some can be more on the expensive side. I think the avocado toast was pretty robust and was a good value. The steak and eggs are somewhat hit or miss, and I have had it multiple times. The cut of the meat can be chewy at times, and then also more lean and tender other times. Sometimes it comes with large pieces of chewy fat, which isn't quite to my taste. The sandwich options generally are a good value. I do kind of wish they switched up their menu a bit more often, since this current menu is rather basic and they have had more interesting food options before. Overall, a decent choice for a more premium coffee, tea, and food for the Downtown/UCR area of Riverside. Service is okay, and I have had somewhat mixed experiences with that. The employees generally seem pleasant and they're nice, but I have gotten incorrect orders at least a couple of times. During this particular visit, in which the photos are from, I had to ask two different people to get extra napkins. Our actual server was the first to acknowledge, then possibly forgot and didn't come back.
