April 9, 2026 I took my GMKtec nini-computer to Computer Hospital because I was having trouble getting my Logitech keyboard and mouse to work. How unprofessional and dishonest can you be?? Posting lies that did not occur as Kames (aka Jamie), the owner stated. When I left off the laptops he was hiding around the screen and eavesdropping when I was speaking with the Cooper. It's imperative in technology that you be able to trust. The new laptop had not even been turned on, it was returned with grease and other coatings on the top - I immediately took to a reputable vendor. No one - except this older man - Jamie was using the language. I understand he's quite a tyrant to work for. I'm very disappointed that he could not be proactive and own up to his misplacing my equipment. I had no idea he was the owner. Also, his wife went off on the phone stating "you're the realtor!" They're both pretty up in age too dealing with an item that requires serious retention and expertise. For gosh sakes, misplacing both cords - he said the staff did something with them. Look - for me to take my time to pot this --- it's more than a100% valid concern. He wouldn't quit about the fee. You be your own judge. His reputation-- bring your equipment and see. Terrible....good Yelp consumers own up and take ownership of any and all mishaps. He's obnoxious - feel sorry for the nice guys that work there. Fantastic team! I had a a specific/unique Mac problem that the Apple Store couldn't fix, other support stores in the Houston area couldn't fix either. Only one other store said they COULD help, but their fix was less than ideal for the same price. I had issues with this consoles fan staying in over drive mode due to over heating, these guys serviced it and after a few months of long gaming sessions testing it out the ps3 fan finally functions properly like it did when it was new cooling and winding back down , if you are in need of any help with your electronics take my word these guys are more then capable for the job. read more

I don't know squat about computers, so when my brand-new PC (shipped from CyberPower) started crashing 20 seconds after being turned on, I was pretty confused and frustrated. I brought it down to The Computer Hospital, and when I told them it was shipped to me by CyberPower they already knew I would be having problems. It took some time, but they ran some tests and were able to determine that my 2TB hard drive was damaged. It was replaced and my 1-year warranty with CyberPower is still intact. Updated my iMac software but then could not login. Took it to Apple Store and all they want to do is erase the hard drive and reinstall the software. Thats their M.O. whether it's an iPhone or iPad. I took it to MicroCenter which they kept overnight and ran a diagnostic which turned out to be normal. They too wanted to erase the hard drive and reinstall the software. I need someone who actually look at my computer and try to figure out why I cannot login instead of reinstalling. I took it to Computer Hospital. James was very courteous and helpful. He hooked it up to a monitor and see what's going on. Apparently the login screen started working again. Brought in a difficult job, Apple iMac Retina display, requiring removal of the front glass, LCD, logic board then reassemble and remount the glass. That's a job I can do, but it's a Royal PITA. Wednesday at midnight, my laptop containing all the excel financial files propping up western civilization was waterboarded by some cats and teenagers. I spent the next six or seven hours frantically taking the machine apart and googling everything, to determine that the flash (eMMc) hard drive is a special cohort of hell and data recovery services can cost around a mortgage payment and take weeks, if at all successful. I sent a message on Yelp to The Computer Hospital, as they had the earliest posted hours. I received an IMMEDIATE response, with the very soothing message that if the data could be backed up, it might only take an hour to do so. I rushed to the location, met with JJ, who deserves a full knighthood, or at least for absolutely going above and beyond for me. Long story short, not only did JJ recover all of my data, he stayed in communication with me, keeping me assured of the status of the project. Bless this man for the rest of his days, he stayed late on Friday to get my data to me as well. The Computer Hospital and JJ recovered my data in LESS THAN THREE DAYS and at a price so incredibly reasonable (less than the mortgage payment I had been quoted somewhere else)! I went to Fiji for vacation and my laptop stopped charging. Went to the Apple Store for an evaluation. They quoted me $500 to fix the battery. Recommended me to do a data recovery. Data recovery quoted me $700-$2500. 1-2 weeks for the to ship the laptop to the data place, and an additional 1-2 weeks to ship to the Apple Store in California. AND the trade in offer AFTER it got fixed wa only estimated to be $400. Suck my dick, 'Genius Bar'. Came to the computer hospital and JJ helped me out. They quoted me $100 for the data; and $175 to fix the battery. However, my computer turned on at the store (so weird). And JJ said my computer was fine. I didn't have to spend a penny! Even though I didn't need their services, I would definitely come here versus going to the Apple Store.
