I made a review about this place, my situation, but I got the solution from a different place that actually led to my computer being fixed. After a few days of having my computer "fixed" from here, the same thing happened with my computer (not starting up) so I called them to see what they did prior to "fix" my computer and try to figure out why it wasn't working. They obviously were in their feelings about the fact that all I asked for was the free diagnosis and they went "above and beyond" to put in a loose screw, telling me that they weren't going to fix the computer even though I wasn't asking them that. I went to another place, told them about how these people apparently "fixed" it, he said that there was no reason a screw would've caused it. I left it by him and the same day he called me and told me that it was my motherboard, initially what I thought it was. I replaced my motherboard myself and it started working again. I'm very glad to never come back here and to find someone else actually know what they're talking about, have reasonable prices for it, and actually go above and beyond for their customer instead of trying to ring out money from innocent consumers that may not know better. read more

You know that awful feeling when your computer won't start up? I had 48 hours in Houston during which I'd planned on working online--only the screen was black, even after I waited a few hours. (My computer had begun having problems earlier that week: skipping around on its own on the page and even to different pages.) If I could give - 5 I would. Worse experience ever. After giving Daniel my password twice I had to go back over there to log on for him. I walked right in punched in exact password I had given him and I was in. I left again and low and behold a couple of hours later Daniel called again stating he could not get in my computer. Asked him if he had written my password down after each time I gave it to him and he DID NOT. At this point I am beyond angry and frustrated, was told to come get my computer because they would not be working on it anymore. Had a problem "cloning" my operating system and files from an existing OEM SSD to a larger SSD to gain more storage. I e-mailed Top Tech and they responded quickly and advised they could set up the laptop's new SSD and quoted a reasonable fee. Dropped it off in the morning and the work was completed mid afternoon. They helped reformat an external hard drive to accept both Mac and windows files, backed up two old laptops that were slow as molasses, and wiped/recycled the laptops for me after. Took my computer to this place for a diagnostic. The computer has kept on shutting off. Dropped it off and wait for them to call me for more than 3 days....no one called me. As a result, I had to call and check on my computer. They claimed that the logic board is gone and it's not serviceable. I took the computer back and brought it to a different store. It turned out that the ssd is bad and all they had to do is replacing the ssd and reinstall windows. I love to support local businesses during this hard time....but boy, they gave up so easily. I doubt that I will be back to do business with these guys and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more
