In the process of them fixing said battery, they broke my screen and said they wouldn't get back into it. So I thought bringing it here seeing the good reviews it had would be my best bet, sadly enough it ended up being nightmarish. I first told them what my issue was and the things Geek Squad had done to fix it. However, they did not seem to care for the information at all, they had just disregarded it and had forgotten all about it. The part they needed to fix my screen wasn't in shop, so they had to order it. Which I can understand, yet; they said it'd be there in 2 weeks. I called regularly and it hadn't come in for a whole month. In the end, they didn't even call to let me know when it was ready. And they didn't even fix it! They just waited for my call to tell me for the past month they wasted my time. (Not literally lol) I opened it up to see for myself what repairs they tried to do, all my screws were missing, and the cable they bought to try and fix my screen was too short to even reach the connector inside the computer. My computer was working prior to me bringing it there, it was just my screen, and they managed to make it into a paperweight, it wouldn't work completely. I brought it back in, and they used all the wrong screws, so my laptop has a lot of screw dents on the chassis. They managed to get it back in working order BUT as of the time of this review, my WiFi adapter chip is entirely MISSING. In summary: I brought a working, nice condition laptop into this place. They waste my time for over a month and not call me to say when I could pick up the thing; and on top of that, they entirely trashed both the inside and outside. And upon bringing it back a second time, they managed to break even more! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. For the price of free, my $2000 gaming laptop is reduced down to its basic components. He told me he needed to keep it for several days while he waited for a "specially made" replacement part from the manufacturer, and charged me hundreds of dollars for the repair. When I got the laptop back, the screen technically worked, but the graphics quality was noticeably worse. Everything looked gray and washed out, whereas the original screen was sharp, vibrant, and had much better color. I checked the computer's work log and found that the replacement screen had actually been installed less than an hour after I originally dropped the laptop off. That made his story about needing several days to wait for a special manufacturer part extremely concerning. It appeared that a generic screen he already had in the office was used instead. I paid hundreds of dollars based on what I was told about the repair and the part being ordered. Finding out afterward that the work log told a very different story was incredibly frustrating. Be very careful and ask questions about exactly what parts are being installed and when. I would not recommend this experience.
