I have video, photography and design projects on a schedule to deliver so I needed to find a solution. Fast! I found them here on Yelp. Darin, the owner, treated me like family and dropped what he was doing to help given my circumstances. In less than 3 hours he totally fixed both the hardware and software on my machine. I wish I met him BEFORE buying the Dell... he also builds machines for clients that are absolutely bulletproof and faster than anything I can and for the money. And YOU are in control rather than some massive company like Dell or Microsoft.

As usual, I had a great experience at Impress computers. Was thinking of replacing my old desktop…read more(purchased at Impress years ago)and stopped by to see what they had. Talked to Bruce who was extremely helpful and not pushy at all. Fast forward, a couple of weeks later, I went in to ask about a printer. Again Bruce was very helpful and I purchased a Canon printer from Impress. Took it home and could not get the printer drivers to interface with old desktop. Went to what I believed to be Canon's website (yes, I typed in their site info) for help and somehow got a pop up of a help screen. I stated my problem and they asked for my phone number to better assist me. I hate to admit that I was scammed. I let them take control of my computer to see if they could correct the issue. When it failed for them, they offered to refund me. They wanted for me to go to my bank account to see if the refund had been posted. It was then, a light bulb came on in my head and I thought, I have been scammed. Fortunately, I had logged them out twice. I immediately went to bank and told my story, changed account password just in case. I don't keep account password info in my computer. I went straight to Impress computer with my old desktop and Bruce helped me again. I Bought another refurbished desktop and is having them move data from old to new after they have gone in and removed any viruses that may have been added by the scammers. One quick note. I know we do not like it when they tell us it will take a week or two to get our computers back to us, but we need to give them some slack. They are doing their best to do it right. A small business trying to accommodate a bunch of folks. All Impress folks that I have dealt with have been extremely friendly and accommodating to me. I didn't mean to write a novel.

Very reasonable pricing and he used everything he could from my old machine. The new machine was done the next day and runs great and looks great. Will use them again as they did not try to push extra equipment on me and did the work quickly.

One of the computers we own is a late 2011 15" MacBook Pro. The motherboard on our laptop died. A…read morefriend of my daughter found Sam's Repair on Facebook Marketplace as someone who was selling refurbished MacBook laptops (It wasn't even listed on Yelp. I had to add the business to check-in and write the review). We originally went in to Sam's to purchase a used MacBook. When we went in and explained what we had and what we were doing, he encouraged us to not buy the one he had for sale but suggested we let him look at ours first to see if it was repairable. We had already upgraded the memory to a 1TB solid-state drive and it was much better than what he was selling. We left (Saturday) and returned on Monday with our laptop. He said since we were coming from so far away (League City) that we could wait while he looked at it. We hung out for an hour and he actually was able to fix the motherboard. He explained what he did but honestly it was over my head. I'm just glad it is working. The laptop he was selling was $550. He fixed ours for less than half that cost and warranted the work for 3 months. Granted, I'm writing this review a few short hours after the repair. Assuming the repair holds, he deserves the five stars. If for some reason that changes, I'll update my review. As for now, we are very pleased.
