I was looking for a touchscreen laptop for work and decided to call the store directly, and the…read moreattendant told me of three products in stock with brief descriptions and prices. I thought about it for a few hours and decided to head in myself to check it out and I always trust salesman when they ask specific questions and really listen; the gentleman behind the counter said that for my needs an upgrade for memory was not necessarily the best bet and as is would be fine. I was taking aback by his direct and honest opinion. I love the direct customer service as opposed to big box stores and with the 90 day warranty I don't think I could go wrong. I opted for an external CD ROM reader and external mouse and everything came to more than half of what I would have spent for a new machine. I brought it home. Everything was in perfect working order and I am 100% satisfied. When he asked if I was an existing customer when he rang me up at the register I said yes for like 100 years and he said we have not been in business for 100 years and I said OK well then maybe 50 he says how about 35. Very friendly and professional exchange highly recommend if you're in the market for a used desktop or laptop. These are your guys! Five out of five highly recommend will return.

He will overcharge you and, in my experience, try to pass off low-quality parts as legitimate…read morereplacements. I brought my laptop in to have the screen replaced. He told me he needed to keep it for several days while he waited for a "specially made" replacement part from the manufacturer, and charged me hundreds of dollars for the repair. When I got the laptop back, the screen technically worked, but the graphics quality was noticeably worse. Everything looked gray and washed out, whereas the original screen was sharp, vibrant, and had much better color. I checked the computer's work log and found that the replacement screen had actually been installed less than an hour after I originally dropped the laptop off. That made his story about needing several days to wait for a special manufacturer part extremely concerning. It appeared that a generic screen he already had in the office was used instead. I paid hundreds of dollars based on what I was told about the repair and the part being ordered. Finding out afterward that the work log told a very different story was incredibly frustrating. Be very careful and ask questions about exactly what parts are being installed and when. I would not recommend this experience.

I want to share my my experience with Impress Computers. Having lived in Katy for 30+ years, I have…read morehad the opportunity to need computer help and repair many times. As a non-techie, sometimes I didn't even know what I needed. I have used many businesses before I found Impress. This business is run so well and truly cares about helping you. If you have a simple question...they answer it. They don't force you to leave your computer if you can do it yourself. They are efficient, very very helpful, and love what they do. They have REAL certified technicians who are equally willing to talk to you if needed. The owner, Roland, has a very interesting background. He sends a very pertinent email to warn clients of impending threats they are seeing a lot of, and other critical notices that the average person would not know about...like when MS will stop supporting certain major software which could make you vulnerable to attacks. I can attest to their integrity and I've always always been appreciative of their help, repairs and willingness to help me save money. Never again do I question the work or need.

I have been using Quality Plus Computer Service for all of my business and personal computer needs…read morefor repairs and building new custom computers for nearly the last 20 years. They have built 15-20 different custom computers for me built to my needs and specifications. Numerous times they have done same day repairs and kept my business functioning when most repair services were busy quoting me how many days the repairs would require. Their prices I have never been able to beat anywhere, not even Fry Electronics and one of their giant warehouse sales could beat what Quality Plus offered, along with immediate same day service. I cannot say enough good things about Peter and his staff, for they have saved me more times than I can count. I was there just today because a program would not load on one of our laptops. Peter had me up and running before noon, and while I was sitting there, one couple came in because their computer would not turn on. Peter had them back up and running in 5 minutes time. Another customer needed her laptop repaired, but she also needed to use the data on her computer when meeting with several of her own clients this week. To repair her computer, Peter first needed to take it apart to ascertain the parts needed to complete the repair, so Peter offered at no charge to her, to take her computer apart just to ascertain the part requirements, and then put it all back together again so she could use her computer until she could let him have it for a couple of hours to install the new parts. So he doubled his labor costs and time for the job just to help out his customer and he did it without charging her a penny more. Try and get that kind of service from the GEEK Squad!!! In the last 20 years, NOT ONCE has Peter given me a quote for a repair or a custom built new system and then later called to increase the quote for any reason. When he quotes a job, he stands behind it 100%. He also stands behind his work 100%. He will clearly explain exactly what needs to be done and why, so that even someone like me can understand. When it comes to any of my computers, I won't let anyone touch them other than Peter and his guys. Thanks! Clay

I would not recommend this place. It was a very unprofessional experience from start to finish…read more The business looked sketchy and seemed more like a smoke shop than a professional repair shop. While I was there, the employee was chewing tobacco and even offering drugs, which made me very uncomfortable. I brought my PS5 in because the HDMI port needed to be repaired. I was told it would take about 30 minutes, but it ended up taking almost 4 hours. Just two days later, the same problem came back. I was told the repair was covered under warranty, but when I contacted them, they refused to honor it. I took my PS5 to another repair shop for a second opinion, and they told me the previous repair had been done incorrectly. They found that 25 of the 32 screws were missing, leaving only 8 screws in the console, and one of the internal plates was also missing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. The poor workmanship, lack of professionalism, and failure to stand behind their warranty were very disappointing.
