After attending the Glam & glow event here at the collective and experiencing a taste of all the services they provide, I was intrigued and interested in scheduling a service after the scalp analysis given by Anna. I like that they got me in for an appointment fairly quickly and Anna is very thoughtful and thorough with her work and how she treats her clients. I went in for a scalp detox because in the analysis it looked like my hair follicles were being choked and suffocating lol so when I came in they gave a deeper analysis before and after the detox experience. She was detailed and took me through each part of the process and it was relaxing as well. She always made sure I was comfortable and offered a complimentary beverage. I chose some soothing hot tea. The scalp detox really made a difference! Before she even showed me the before and after, I can already see my scalp looked healthier. I was very satisfied with the results and enjoyed the whole experience and I was educated on further daily care for my scalp and hair. I recommend this place and this particular service. Tiffany and her staff are the most attentive service providers. If you want to feel like a million bucks I highly recommend any of the stylists here. Tiffany does my extensions and has for almost two years. They never matte, pull, or bother me. Sometimes I don't realize it's time to get them readjusted. Every time I go in to move them up I am so surprised by how long my natural hair is getting and by how great of shape my hair is in. I used to have tape ins and those would pull out major chunks, not Natural Beaded Rows. I don't think I could ever live without these. The absolute best find EVER! During COVID I had a friend Suggest I go blonde. I had just left my husband of 13 years and was in for change. Unfortunately the hair stylist sent me to the hospital due to a bleach burn resulting in a hole in my head and my mid back hair shriveling to my ears and thinning out to next to nothing. I was absolutely deviated to say the least. After two different extensions hairstylist using glue , pulling out more of my little hair I was desperate for a new solution and salon. Upon much research I found the Collective ATX salon. Holding on to hope I made a appointment based on the fact of their new style of extensions and reviews. I couldn't be happier . The initial investment can seem overwhelming but I actually have saved money with their skill and technique. My natural hair is growing and healthier and I have had ABSOLUTELY no issues with the extensions nor hair. My hair has remained looking after four months the same as the day it was installed. I just moved from San Diego to Austin and was in search of a new hair dresser. My friend recommended The Collective ATX to me as her coworker was a customer. I had bleached hair for over 10 years when in April I decided to go burnette.... As you can imagine I didnt love it for me. I came to Tiffany with this and she gave realistic expectations which I understood about trying to add some blonde back. However, she totally blew me away with the transformation. She got my hair to a cool blonde tone, got rid of the reddish stained color I had and kept the integrity of my hair. She also suggested I cut some of it off due to damage but respected my wished to keep the length. She provided me helpful instructions and after care to use to rebuild my hairs strength back. I followed her from her previous salon because, as many of y'all know, once you find a stylist you love, it's hard to let them go! Best salon around! I have been getting extensions for years and Tiffany is a master of her craft. The salon is very clean, everyone that works there is so nice and professional. They really care about their clients. They are quick but careful with my hair, which I am working to grow out. Brittnae is amazing! I got a great long-bang pixie cut in Chicago a year ago (the kind of cut where friends actually called me repeatedly to tell me they liked it). But finding anyone to repeat it in Austin has been an exercise in frustration. I got a number of not-great short cuts in the attempt to just keep what I had. Then I went to Brittnae and she fixed it! From the first meeting, she wasn't just thinking about how to cut my hair that day - she was thinking about how it could look three to six months out. In between my first and second cut, she went out and did research and took a class just to work on my perfect cut. Now, it looks fantastic and I barely have to style it at all.
