Weak coffee, uncomfortable environment. The last several times I've visited, the same woman was taking up half of the place with about five shopping bags on two tables and a cart with three more. She likes to talk loudly with her phone on speaker which I can hear through my earbuds and makes it nearly impossible to get any work done. The place feels extremely cramped and it's located in a strip mall that, for whatever reason, attracts a lot of riff-raff and loiterers. Believe it or not, I've seen two fist fights here. Today, the place smelled like a gigantic fart and they don't serve dark roast after 10am which sucks. I think today was my final visit. read more

My coffee was superrr sweet. I don't think I drank 1/3 of it before giving up because it never got better. I love a sweet coffee but there wasn't any coffee flavor. I also agree with what another commenter said, this particular location is not the cleanest. The outdoor table I was at looks like it hasn't been cleaned in at least a week. I've been in this store multiple times and never any significant problems with the customer service. However, I would not advise ordering from them through Grubhub. It's no fault of Grubhub, but this location continually gets my order incorrect. I always order the same thing - a mocha ice blended with add caramel sauce, and add caramel drizzle on the whipped cream, and I always say yes to include straw. I just looked at my Grubhub history. Since March I've placed 11 orders. Out of that, 5 had to be refunded. And there were at least 2 times that the order was not correct but I didn't want to deal with requesting a refund. So 7 out 11 times my order was incorrect. Most of the errors involved the caramel add on. They either forgot the caramel sauce, or the caramel drizzle, or both. There were about 3 orders where they forgot the requested straw but I didn't complain. This last time was the final "straw" so-to-speak. Normally my drink arrives in a sealed bag, with a seal over the top opening of the drink. This time my drink was left on my porch - no bag, no seal, just the drink with the open top and a straw beside it. The grub hub driver could have dropped any kind of drug in my drink, or spit in it as it was not sealed. And oh yeah, my drink was incorrect again! Barely any caramel sauce, and no caramel drizzle. I'm done with Coffee Bean. The quality and accuracy of the order should be no different whether I order through Grubhub or walk in the store. I'm not paying these prices to continually not receive what I order. I don't necessarily even blame the employees. This reflects directly on management and their (lack of) supervision and training of employees. Imo the manager of this location should be fired. Goodbye Coffee Bean. I love the ice blended mocha but not worth it. read more

I visited Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for the first time in several years, and I was surprised to see that they offered boba... of course I had to try it (What was I thinking?) The staff were super friendly and even allowed me to try their Ceylon Tea. Their Ceylon unsweetened is amazing, but once it's sweetened, it's way too much. Additionally, their Ceylon Milk Tea is always priced with boba (?!) - the reason I tried their boba, reluctantly. The tea sample itself wasn't bearable, not too bad, though on the watery end. The boba, though, were as hard as rocks. Location wise, this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has ample parking despite being in a smaller plaza. However, the amount of space to work inside is fairly small, and it is not the most comfortable. It's cramped, and during busier times, doors will be opened an closed regularly. People may also smoke outside, but... the positive is that the staff are super friendly and welcoming! read more

First time at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Company shop inside Glendale Galleria. We decided to stop by and see if they have the Tokidoki tumbler and ornament pouch collaboration products. We visited 5 stores in CA and 2 stores in Las Vegas and these Tokidoki collaboration products were all sold out. We were so happy that they have both tumbler and ornament pouch. Per Lia they just received them first week of August. Lia was so nice. She was our cashier and barista. Lia provided excellent customer service as she not only made drink suggestions but she was the one that showed me all the Tokidoki collaboration products they have. Thank you Lia. I also ordered the White Chocolate Latte iced in large. It's so good. Perfect blend and balance. The drink is not too sweet and you can taste the coffee. It definitely has a different taste from the mocha but I like that the white chocolate latte iced seems stronger than the mocha. It has a little bit of a kick to it. The Smitty children that are working behind the counter here has absolutely no respect for customers. Blasting ghetto music, leaning on the counters and coping an attitude while I'm placing an order for a simple iced Matcha with oat milk. Instead, they gave me some murky brown cup of oat milk, lightly tinted with Matcha powder. There was no Matcha in this drink. I took one sip and all it was all oat milk and ice. When I asked about the quantity of matcha in the mix the boy behind the counter said he used a 12 ounce scoop. The scoop was like a shot and it said 12 ounces but I'm sure that that scoop meant that it made a 12 ounce cup. So they are misinformed and they are misinforming me. I told them that this taste nothing like Matcha and they said well we can charge you more for more powder. $7.00 for this? I said no thank you I wanted my money back. The child argued with me and gave me an attitude and told me off at the front cashier. Then I said to just refund my card and she gave me only a portion in return when I saw the receipt. Then argued with me some more. Didn't even give me the correct money return so handed me a dollar back in change. What a disappointment. I know that this doesn't read as clearly, but I am so frustrated with this entitlement and poor quality that these prices are handing out. I went up the way to the bakery, and received an amazing Matcha tea that was green and lightly expressed with oat milk as requested. My biggest praise for this spot is that is a coffee bean that stays open late!!! On a Sunday they are open til 10 p and this has proven to be so clutch for me. They also have ample seating which is great for getting work done or if meeting up with someone. I also appreciate that this location tends to be well stocked when I come by. Probably the worst interaction I've ever had at a food establishment. Today, 11/20 at 2:10ish the young female was beyond rude and condescending when asked a simple question about the menu. When questioned why she was disrespectful, she said she was not. I explained we had just asked a question and what we got was an attitude and it was uncalled for. It's definitely a go and pick up your order kinda spot. The parking is pretty big but I can see it easily filling up during its busy hours. Again, the service is excellent! So I came to try the tiktok drink. Not knowing it was that viral, just seen a few times on my feed. The drink itself is pretty good. Too strong for my liking, but I'll probably ask for one less shot. This place is usually a little dirty, especially the outside. Looks a little run down, and small. Especially compared to any other Coffee Bean I've been to. But I keep coming back because it's close to my house, and I like their food and drinks. I just wish it was sparkling clean and more inviting, like Starbucks and other Coffee Been and Tea Leafs. The staff is hit or miss. They usually do a great job at making my drinks or food, and are always accommodating. But honestly, they are usually not that friendly at all. My cinnamon roll was warmed. When my girlfriend took it back to the counter to ask for one that was room temperature, the cashier argued and said that that's not what I said.
