I have been to this buffet several times. This is one of the best buffets, I've been to and always look forward to dining here. It's a bit pricey but it's worth it. The only negative, is that I can't eat as much as I want due to my limited stomach capacity :-). The quality of food here is much better than other buffets. Really, I don't think I've had any bad dishes here. Some of my favorites. - The lobsters. The servers walk around and handed me a half lobster. - The sushi - all fresh and delicious - The made to order hibachi - Again, every dish is delicious. -The deserts, specifically , the macarons. I think each time, I had about 10 as they are very light. Service is very good, especially, as we went with a regular customer who comes every month. We are driving from Westchester and Rockland. I'd rate the Buffet three and a half stars. Don't let all the one stars reviews dissuade you. A popular spot like this will attract a lot of simplified one or five stars reviews which mid balance the rating. I think the experience here will compare more similarly to a place rated in the high threes on Yelp. Good buffets are nearly extinct and this one of the last good ones left. Lots of stations which could be overwhelming. Some of the standouts were the sushi station, the Chinese specialties station, the Peking duck station, the raw seafood station, and crepe station, and the dessert station though there are a handful more. The food was replenished quickly. The only wait I had was for Peking duck which took a few minutes. The staff kept our table clean and consistently made sure we had ample beverages. This was reviewed by some youtubers I follow and received high ratings. However, these high ratings are in no way deserved. First of all, the food is, at best mediocre. Considering the dinner price is 54.99, mediocre food might as well be garbage. Their customers are paying these ridiculously high prices and getting food that is mid-grade at best. Second, their advertised price is not always the price you pay. As I mentioned, the advertised price for one adult dinner is 54.99. On holidays like Mother's Day, they increase it by at least 4.00. Where I come from, the advertised price is honored. Extra charges should be listed as part of the advertised price, not sprung on a customer like some sort of trap when they've already been seated and ate. Finally, the restaurant clearly has no plan or system for dealing with large crowds. It shouldn't be difficult to seat a single traveler in a timely manner, even on a very busy day. I had to wait over an hour. All in all, I cannot recommend The Buffet in good conscience. It's overpriced, has mediocre food, and offers little value for money. The food is great with a lot of selections. From the hot bar, I want to highlight the abalone and the lamb chop; from the sushi bar, I want to highlight the Umi hand roll. The drink and tip is included in the price. You can ask for all kinds of drinks including bubble teas through out the dining time. I love the variety of their dessert selections and the one-bite size of the dessert. It allows me to enjoy different kinds of dessert without worry about taking up too much space in my stomach. The service is good. However the parking might be a little trouble. The waiting time in the weekend might be long. Visited The Buffet for lunch on a Saturday. It's located inside the Hotel de Point, on the fourth floor. They validate parking as well, so feel free to park in their lot. We were seated pretty quickly. It is a large room with large floor to ceiling windows so you can take in the views of Queens lol. The buffet is located in the center and it has a lot of different options, including dim sum, sushi, a ramen bar, and various hot foods. The selections include much more than the typical Chinese takeout options you'd find at a normal Chinese buffet. I especially enjoyed the Peking duck and was surprised to find they even had frog legs. Lunch price for Saturday was only $35 and it included drinks. It's not easy to keep a high standard of quality when you're cooking in mass quantities, so I was really impressed with the food here. The sashimi was very fresh! Other highlights included the lamb chops, Peking duck and ginger scallion steamed turbot: all EXCELLENT. These were the can't miss dishes to me. Also really impressed with their dessert! The buffet has a good assortment. The stone crab was actually better than the snow crab legs. Some of the snow crab legs were boiled in salt water and some in sugar. It was a bit odd for a regular snow crab eater. The stone crab had the natural sweetness of crab but it is a bit tedious to eat. There wasn't anything where I felt was outstanding but I did appreciate the variety of seafood (sushi/sashimi, raw bar, sauteed seafood (abalone, clams, calamari, snails, ...). The grilled area had grilled fish as well. The dessert soups (cold and hot) were one of my favorite sections. Gratuity/Tip: The website stated "The Buffet is a no-tipping restaurant" but our waiter was visibly upset when we didn't add gratuity. We asked if gratuity was included in the bill and the waiter said no it wasn't so then we felt obligated to pay gratuity as well. The whole thing was very confusing and it's either included and not required, or not included and needs to be added. Mixed messages caused confusion for us the patrons. Parking: You can valet your car and get it scanned when you pay your bill, to get a $2 discount on parking. This is five stars with an exclamation point. In a long life, I have been to countless Asian buffets. This is simply the best one I have ever seen. They excel at every point - service, food quality, ambience, and a west window with an awesome view of the Manhattan skyline. The #1 highlight for me was the Peking duck sandwich window, where you went away with very generous slices of roast duck. The sushi and dessert areas were a treat for the eye and the mouth. The crepe station was fun to see because the cook could turn out a crepe from scratch in about 90 seconds. As others have mentioned, be sure to arrive early. I love buffet especially seafood. Price point is good and the quality of the food match with the price point. My group went to this place at night and they still have so many food items. Steamed Snow crab kind of dry and very hard to crack the shell out. The restaurant didn't have any tools to help for this dish. Monday is not a busy day, so I feel like we have a private party here. Came here on a weekday for lunch around 2 pm and although not packed, there were still quite many tables occupied. The food you get here isn't your typical American-Chinese food you'd get at other Chinese buffets. You actually get authentic Chinese food, which is what makes it worth it for the price! I had a doctor's appointment that morning or else I would've gone earlier for lunch (I also live in south Brooklyn which is a long drive). A new batch of food was brought out for a few items right when we got there but after our first round, it seemed like they stopped bringing fresh food out. This is understandable as they close lunch at 3:30pm. The food itself is pretty good! The highlight was the honey (minus walnuts) shrimp for me. The crispy pork belly was good too but the skin was way too salty. Typically, the bottom of the pork belly is salted and not the skin, so it was a bit of a surprise. The ginseng chicken soup was also really good - I had a few bowls of those! The waitress that we had was very friendly and let us know to go get whatever remaining food we want before the others got to them first since their kitchen was closing around 3pm. Ugh... One and Done. The establishment is very big with a wide(!) selection of unusually available dishes to choose from. Black Chicken soup (with the chicken toes floating around in the broth). Fried baby octopi. Sweet & Sour Jellyfish. A wide array of sashimi and sushi rolls. They even had pizza & mashed potatoes! However, quality of food; It's consistency, texture and most importantly, it's flavor... *Complete* disaster. At the rate of $56 per person, frankly, my expectations were high. For the amount of money spent, we could have gone to a chic restaurant much closer to home and had the most expensive (and reliable) meal on the menu, leaving with met conjectures, and the feeling that our money was well spent. Instead, we felt scammed, indigestion and road-rage during the hour-long drive home. If I could off half-stars, I'd give 2 1/2 stars. But I can't. The desserts available were pretty good. That I will admit to. The other diners attending the buffet were animalistic. I think I got pushed out of the way four times while trying to read the description of each dish I had intended on sampling. No "Excuse me". No nothing. Parents allowed their young children to wander freely throughout the restaurant. I can't tell you how many unknown children crawled all over and around our booth while we walked away AND while we sat and ate! The Ambiance - Bland. The carpets needed to be swept; they were filthy. The Buffet is located in College Point and inside a hotel, 4th floor. There's a parking lot to park for a small fee by the hour (be sure to validate your ticket to save on the cost). The layout of the restaurant is probably one of the more efficient layouts I've seen. It's a smart buffet spot in regards to where everything is placed. The square like formation and the multiple ways to getting around to each station is very convenient. Ready made hot food vs the made to order grill station was great - selections wise. There's also a carving section, fruit section, desserts which includes a chocolate fountain. I particularly liked the sushi selection and raw bar (clams, oysters, and such). So many options! Be sure to scope out the set up before you start eating, you don't want to miss the Peking Duck, the steamed fish, crabs and shrimp options. Wait staff was quick to remove the old plates and was really quick to take our drink order. Literally when we were first brought to the table! Service was friendly and attentive. I'd give this place 5 stars for value, especially for value and the amount of variety, but the men's bathroom is a warzone. They need to have the janitors clean more often to add both ventilation+ air fresheners and also clean up the barf in the sinks. People definitely are not training for buffets when I went since the sink was full of chunks of food, and I almost gagged and threw up from the smell of the bathroom of everyone having diarrhea possibly from being lactose intolerant or maybe the sushi and oysters. So if you never enter the bathroom on a bad day, the food is amazing! They slice peking duck fresh off the duck on demand and it's crispy and juicy! They have Cantonese style bbq section with char siu, duck, and other various meats. They even have a dim sum section, but I can't tell if they're fresh or they're frozen. The sashimi is a lot, and even organized on a boat. Would be funny if someone just took the whole boat to their table. I wish the crab was on the hot section. Maybe the dinner is better. There's a lot of seafood here, with clams raw and cooked, popcorn shrimp, and much more. The place has a view of how far Manhattan is. The place is not close to the main st flushing MTA stop so be prepared to make a journey to the east by bus, Uber, or hike 30 mins. My husband and I went to this place for lunch with some friends last Monday. This place is popular and has many dishes to choose from from their buffet selection. Anywhere from sushi, meat skewers, steamed fish, vegetables stir fry, shrimp shumai, Kani salad, and more. There was even someone make hibachi style dishes with meat, seafood and vegetables. Did I mention there was an assortment of desserts like mini cakes, pudding, ice cream, cotton candy and more. It was a delight for the eyes. The service was also really good. But we were still able to get seated rather quickly. It's a very spacious buffet with an extensive selection of food! I usually go for the sushi and seafood, which I find are decent quality. Those items seem the most popular and are always restocked quickly. There's also a lot of fried food, Chinese dishes, and a dessert bar. Every time I come here, I always leave pretty stuffed. This spot is actually called The Buffet. It is hidden inside a hotel near college point. I think it is the 4th floor of the hotel. As you walk out you will see a sign The Buffet. Someone will walk you in and give you a table. The soft drinks are unlimited refill. I saw a table with bobatea. The food was a mix of sushi, sashimi, asian and a spot with cajun seafood. The sashimi was pretty good, not a strong sea taste. The washibi paste was a bit watery for me. The oxtail and the cajun dish with the corn was really good. There is also a fruit and dessert section. You can ask them to make you some cotton candy by the fruit area. You can make your own ice-cream. Overall good experience for 55$ per person. This is probably my third time leaving a review for this place. I'll let them know last time that they should be adding more being things and I was very pleased that they did. I suggested that they bring back their fried zucchini, sticks and I was very happy that they were there when I came. What a great find beyond the hustle and bustle of main street Flushing. Yes, it took a long bus ride to reach from Main Street, but the food was fantastic, certainly not the typical Chinese buffet that comes to mind. They had hot and cold dishes, tons of sushi choices, and a dessert bar. Highlights include Cajun style crawfish which was good enough to rival a real canjun, fresh takoyaki that deliciously gooey inside, bottomless Peking Duck served by a chef who freshly cuts each piece, gigantic stone crabs, and more. The servers come around frequently to remove used utensils and plates, and kept our drinks refilled without hesitation. We came on a Saturday for lunch and trust me when I say come early. But it's worh the trip. This place reminds me of the buffet places in China that's not just the typical American buffet. It's very spacious with many stations, hot food, cold apps, sushi, seafood, stir fried, dessert, fruit. There are about 100 varieties to choose from. You definitely can eat your money back. A lot of seafood including crab, shrimp scallops, mussels, clams and crawfish. Sushi station is also massive with sushi and sashimi choices. Kids love the cotton candy and icecream. I came on the Saturday for lunch, the line is long but I think it moves fast. The service is fast, they always cleans out the dirty plates right away and refill your drink before you even finished. The buffet also replenish in timely manner, you might see empty plates but when you come back for next plate you will see they had already refilled it. We came here to celebrate my daughter's graduation and it was 9 adults and 2 kids and we made reservations ahead. We were told to be on time and they can only hold for no more than 10 mins which we totally understood. Everything was on time as our party arrived promptly. Our server were great and this is my first time here but one person in my party came before Covid and said it was great then and it stayed the same now. We were impressed and we came for lunch. We were happy with all the choices and it was definitely worth the price and happy to come back again. Parking was no issue as it is free for the first two hours but if you find the parking yourself then you don't need valet just an fyi. I missed going to a buffet and used to go to one on Long Island when I lived there, so was pretty darn excited to discover this one so close to me existed. The hot food was actually hot/warm and I loved everything I tried. The walnut shrimp was sooo good and their hot and sour soup is delicious. The fish in chili oil was exceptional. Also loved all the noodles and the egg fried rice. There was so much variety so I of course didn't get to try everything. My boyfriend tried the sushi and said it tasted fresh and delicious. We also had a few of the desserts, really great as well! Some of which were new to me so I was excited to try something different. I was impressed by the crepe making area they had.
